I hate it when one of my favorite restaurants suddenly close without any notice. It felt worse than a break up text message. And Taylor Swift should definitely compose a song about this kind of heartbreak. One should be named "Buta Wagyu, Why You". Okay, perhaps that won't make it to Billboard's Top 100. But I was devastated when I found out that favorite wagyu restaurants closed. Then again, it gives me an opportunity to explore and find new loves. And I finally have a reason to visit Wagyu Japanese Beef in Forbestown.

I'd choose House of Wagyu over Wagyu Japanese Beef any day. I've tried the latter for the first time - food was okay, but service was terrible.

Amazing steamed wagyu! Who would've thought? We also had the hot stone version which can never go wrong- wagyu nigiri, yellowtail collar was so soft and juicy, chuwanmushi was heavenly!

We celebrated my father-in-law's birthday here. Having tasted some good beef in Tokyo like what Satou offers and the Kagoshima Wagyu in Teppanyaki Kaikaya. My wife also had tasted one of the best Japan had to offer, having dined at the world famous Narisawa restaurant (one of world's 50 best restaurants and belongs in the top 5) and tasted the Kobe beef from Hyogo that rated Grade A5 during one of her trips to Tokyo. So I/we had very low expectations from this Wagyu place in BGC. Boy was i so wrong! It is delicious, melt-in-your mouth experience. Very (70%) close to the Japanese beeves I mentioned above and the price is worth this wonderful gastronomic experience. You must try it!
