The best filipino restaurant in maginhawa for me. The dishes are truly as close as authentic as your mom's cooking. With every bite, I can imagine being back at my province whenever there is a fiesta. Very nostalgic and a new experience at the same time. Please read the full review from the link. Thanks!Excerpt: The laing dish (taro leaves in coconut cream with pork and chili) was delicious. It was creamy and the leaves had the right texture to them. The pork pieces added the right amount of fat and meat taste to the dish. It was the first dish that we finished. The grilled tilapia was ok. The fish meat was not as flaky as we would have preferred it but the taste was good. The Binakol na Manok (chicken soup with lemongrass and coconut meat) was delightful. It tasted like tinolang manok but with coconut meat. Tinolang manok is a Filipino chicken soup dish that has a strong ginger flavor and in the binakol, the sweet coconut meat was a perfect complement to the aromatic chicken soup. The puto bumbong (purple rice cake) tasted good. Puto bumbong is made from steamed glutinous rice then topped with margarine, shredded coconut and muscovado sugar. Their version was good as it was not too sweet and the rice cake was moist.Taste = 4/5Service = 3/5Place = 4/5Value = 4/5

It's hard for me to find a restaurant with good Filipino food because our household cooks reaaaally good food. I like their take on local cuisines. It's simple and taste is on point. We had our small civil wedding reception here and their food offerings did not disappoint. I specially love their tinumis and puto bumbong.

The place gives of this Filipino home but in a modern setting. The food was cooked just right for its price, the service was also adequate we didn't have to wait a long time for it to be served.

Went here after hearing mass, at around 8:30pm. The place is packed and having a reservation is preferred. Ordered crispy okoy (9/10), sisig (3/10), sugpo sa alavar (7/10), and another pork dish which I forgot (2/10). Over-all the ambiance of the place is great, although the food took so long to be served. The bibingka was great, but the puto bumbong dish was just okay.
