Kapitolyo! Finally, after quite some time, we went back to Kapitolyo to do some EATSploring. Kapitolyo has always been close to our tummies, thanks to its seemingly endless number of homegrown food concepts. Over the years, we’ve had our share of EATSperiences there even way before we were together. What makes Kapitolyo so special? Hmmm… Well, we believe it’s the small businesses. The dreamers who took the risk in coming up with their own eatery, food stall, or restaurant. The neighborhood that is so homey. And of course, the food. Kapitolyo won’t be the website destination that it is today, if not for all the wonderful food that they’ve been offering diners from all over, all these years. In this edition of EATSplorations, we will share with you about a restaurant concept that hits the spot. This restaurant is Pomodoro Pizza Pasta Kitchen in Kapitolyo, Pasig City. Pomodoro Pizza Pasta Kitchen is, of course, an Italian restaurant concept that is very Kapitolyo. Delicious, homey, and yes, budget-friendly. Keep on reading to know more about this gem of a find!

Surprised to find a decent and delicious brick oven pizza in this price range. Their pizza is comparable with the quality of Gino's but at a fraction of the price. Well I actually think Pomodoro's crust is better quality cause it doesnt become soggy from the pizza sauce.Their pizza is thin, chewy, not burnt and generously topped with cheese. I ordered margherita pizza and loved it. I ordered via website. I was surprised that the pizza arrived hot as if I dined in. Wish I could review them on website but I couldnt, must be something wrong with the app.

I love the ambiance of their newly renovated branch. I mostly do take-out orders here though. For pizzas, the Amanti de la Carne is pretty good. If you want no meat, the basic margharita should suffice.

Actual rating: 4.5Everything was delicious albeit not extraordinary. But for the price range, they serve really good food.We had:Crema Con Pollo Lunch Meal, P249, 5 🌟Two large fillets of chicken topped with a creamy sauce (idk what it's called) drizzled with pesto. I didn't have high expectations for this because I assumed it was just another chicken meal. Turned out to be the best dish!Chicken was well-seasoned and had a mild garlicky undertone. It wasn't dry and was so flavorful on its on own. The addition of the sauce apmed up the flavors but did so without making it overwhelming.Dish came with a small side of salad (lettuce + tomato +caesar dressing), big serving of rice topped with garlic bits, and a bowl of comforting soup.Pasta Bolognese, P149, 4 🌟Generous serving of al dente pasta in delicious red sauce and ground beef. Flavors were good and we enjoyed the dish.Pesto Pizza, P169, 4 🌟Liked the soft and chewy texture of the homemade dough. Amount of toppings were good, flavors were also alright.Just have small issue because they used bacon instead of chicken without asking us first. It was still good, but it should have been consulted because some people don't eat pork/red meat.Service time was around ~15min, which was alright considering the pizza was made to order.Service was okay, staff were nice enough, but not exactly helpful. (-0.5 rating was for service). Parking is difficult, they just point you to the vacant lot across the restaurant. The lot has a huge sign that says the parking space is for the exclusive use of another establishment.(???) Hesitated parking there but we had no choice. Lucky there was space during lunchtime on a Saturday, but idk how they handle it during peak hours.
