The Dimsum Place is definitely one of the places that you can have a get-together. The low price, compared to other dimsum restaurants, does not compromise the great quality of their food. Plus, the ambience of their place is very cozy - great for an intimate lunch-out with your family and friends.I highly recommend their Asado Fried Rice (P240 - good for 3 to 4 people), Sweet & Spur Pork (P260 - good for 3 to 4 people), Hacao (P100 - 4pcs.), Xiao Long Bao (P100 - 4pcs.), and if you are still up for desserts, their Sweet Black Sesame Rice Ball, and their Sweet Peanut Rice Ball (P80 each) are really great.I am definitely game to try more of their delicacies with my family and friends soon - THE FREE PARKING IS DEFINITELY A BONUS!

Like its name implies, the Dimsum Place specializes in serving dimsum of all sorts. While dimsum does include the ever-present siomai, hacao, and siopao, it also happens to include a lot of other things. Bread rolls, noodles, and even tea are part of the dimsum experience. I was invited to dine here along with a group, and we had the opportunity to sample a number of their sumptuous dishes. The practice of eating dimsum is also meant to be light, like a snack or a simple meal. The restaurant itself also fits with that aesthetic: simple, bright, with calming yellows and greens adorning the walls and ceiling. Among the dishes we tried included Pork and Shrimp Siomai (P100), Hacao (P100), Beancurd Rolls (P130), Crispy Radish Cake (P100), Steamed Vermicelli Rice Rolls with Shrimps (P170), and Xiao Long Bao (P100). Everything was good as expected, but I suggest to be careful with the red sauce of the radish cake. It can get a but too spicy for some people (read: me). Furthermore, steamed vermicelli rice rolls were a first time experience from me. It comes with a sauce and the wrapper feels like eating a flat noodle like hofan. For main dishes we had Asado Fried Rice (P240), Sweet and Sour Pork (P260), Beef Brisket Noodle Soup (P160), and Congee with Meat Balls. I'm afraid that I don't have the price for the congee or the type of meat used, but if my memory serves me correctly, pork or beef versions are available. The rice was meaty and delightfully chewy. The noodles were long and delicious. And while the broth and beef had that distinct taste of anise, it did not overwhelm. We ended the meal with a treat. While one would have to order either their Sweet Black Sesame Rice Balls (P80) or their Sweet Peanut Rice Balls (P80) separately, we were allowed a bowl of that had one of each, doused in an almond milk sauce. While the peanut ball was nutty and sweet, I instantly took a liking to the black sesame due to its crunch and vibrant color. It contrasted well with the sweet almond milk sauce, that was surprisingly subtle compared to other almond milk products that tend to go overboard with flavor. All in all, this is a good place to visit for a nice family gathering or a function. It also offers a vital but rarely-seen commodity in the area: free parking. I suggest that first-time visitors take advantage of this and plan a visit to this place soon. I myself will surely keep that in mind for next time.

The Dimsum Place was one of the few places in Manila which specialized in serving, you guessed it, dimsum. The place was located in an ambient location in Greenhills with lots of parking and dining space. The interior exuded so much whiteness and cleanliness, something which was pretty rare for a Chinese restaurant. Also, the prices were pretty reasonable, albeit more expensive than dimsum from other Chinese restaurants of its level.
