The Dimsum Place is definitely one of the places that you can have a get-together. The low price, compared to other dimsum restaurants, does not compromise the great quality of their food. Plus, the ambience of their place is very cozy - great for an intimate lunch-out with your family and friends.I highly recommend their Asado Fried Rice (P240 - good for 3 to 4 people), Sweet & Spur Pork (P260 - good for 3 to 4 people), Hacao (P100 - 4pcs.), Xiao Long Bao (P100 - 4pcs.), and if you are still up for desserts, their Sweet Black Sesame Rice Ball, and their Sweet Peanut Rice Ball (P80 each) are really great.I am definitely game to try more of their delicacies with my family and friends soon - THE FREE PARKING IS DEFINITELY A BONUS!

Like its name implies, the Dimsum Place specializes in serving dimsum of all sorts. While dimsum does include the ever-present siomai, hacao, and siopao, it also happens to include a lot of other things. Bread rolls, noodles, and even tea are part of the dimsum experience. I was invited to dine here along with a group, and we had the opportunity to sample a number of their sumptuous dishes. The practice of eating dimsum is also meant to be light, like a snack or a simple meal. The restaurant itself also fits with that aesthetic: simple, bright, with calming yellows and greens adorning the walls and ceiling. Among the dishes we tried included Pork and Shrimp Siomai (P100), Hacao (P100), Beancurd Rolls (P130), Crispy Radish Cake (P100), Steamed Vermicelli Rice Rolls with Shrimps (P170), and Xiao Long Bao (P100). Everything was good as expected, but I suggest to be careful with the red sauce of the radish cake. It can get a but too spicy for some people (read: me). Furthermore, steamed vermicelli rice rolls were a first time experience from me. It comes with a sauce and the wrapper feels like eating a flat noodle like hofan. For main dishes we had Asado Fried Rice (P240), Sweet and Sour Pork (P260), Beef Brisket Noodle Soup (P160), and Congee with Meat Balls. I'm afraid that I don't have the price for the congee or the type of meat used, but if my memory serves me correctly, pork or beef versions are available. The rice was meaty and delightfully chewy. The noodles were long and delicious. And while the broth and beef had that distinct taste of anise, it did not overwhelm. We ended the meal with a treat. While one would have to order either their Sweet Black Sesame Rice Balls (P80) or their Sweet Peanut Rice Balls (P80) separately, we were allowed a bowl of that had one of each, doused in an almond milk sauce. While the peanut ball was nutty and sweet, I instantly took a liking to the black sesame due to its crunch and vibrant color. It contrasted well with the sweet almond milk sauce, that was surprisingly subtle compared to other almond milk products that tend to go overboard with flavor. All in all, this is a good place to visit for a nice family gathering or a function. It also offers a vital but rarely-seen commodity in the area: free parking. I suggest that first-time visitors take advantage of this and plan a visit to this place soon. I myself will surely keep that in mind for next time.

The Dimsum Place was one of the few places in Manila which specialized in serving, you guessed it, dimsum. The place was located in an ambient location in Greenhills with lots of parking and dining space. The interior exuded so much whiteness and cleanliness, something which was pretty rare for a Chinese restaurant. Also, the prices were pretty reasonable, albeit more expensive than dimsum from other Chinese restaurants of its level.

Chinese food has always been a staple in the Filipino palette. The Dimsum Place gives you the vibe of being at a Filipino-Chinese home, and being in a place of peace and serenity. The uoverall restaurant (including the free parking, I might add) is where the food compliments the atmosphere and the feel of the location. But the food really speaks for itself too, not just a design on the wall.We ordered several of my Chinese favorites, the Wanton Noodle Soup, Sweet & Sour Pork, Pork & Shrimp Siomai, and Asado Fried Rice, and I can tell you that I was satisfied to the tin. Nothing was overbearing or overpowering, everything was well-cooked and well-seasoned. The few new things I tried though, the Xiao Long Bao and Sweet Black Sesame Rice Ball, are probably the two that'll keep me coming back to the restaurant a thousand times over. The food just won me over, if that hadn't been done before. I suggest you bring a crowd with you, if you'd like to splurge all you can. The free parking and the ambiance is only a plus to all the good food we ate. We've only tried not even half of the menu and I honestly can't wait to try the rest.

Dimsum 101 at The Dimsum Place AnnapolisStart with a pot of tea. Try the Buckwheat tea which tends to soothe your mood before you start your dim sum feast.Pick out some dumplings... Go for the Pork & Shrimp Siomai, Steamed Shrimp Dumplings (Hacao) and the popular Xiao Long Bao.. Add some Crispy Radish Cake that's deliciously different from all the other radish cakes. Then get the Steamed Vermicelli Rice Roll with Shrimps, lovely shrimps in a blanket of velvety flat rice noodle.Pull in some Beef & Wanton Noodle soup and Congee with Beef Balls. Then save some space for Sweet & Sour Pork and Asado Fried Rice. Then always have room for (hot) dessert and get the Sweet Black Sesame Rice Balls and Sweet Peanut Rice Balls. Great way to cap your dimsum experience. Why go to The Dimsum Place for dimsum? The menu is so reasonably priced. Their servings are bigger than the others (check out their steamed rice bowls and Baked BBQ Pork Buns!). Their place is nice and cozy, not the crazy noisy dim sum stereotypical restaurant. AND they have ample parking space at the back of the restaurant!

I remembered Episode 38 of Chūka Ichiban! (Cooking Master Boy), an anime that was shown in the 90s, where Dimsum Star Chef Shell went against Lakon, The King of Dimsum. They were pointing out some main aspects of Dimsum. It is traditional, it calms the spirit, shouldn't be strict, and something that everybody can enjoy. Yes it's anime, but still, it's something that we can all ponder to. Dimsum Place has several branches in the metro but the one we tried out is located around the corner of EDSA and Annapolis, near the jeep station. They also have a parking space at the back of the resto so this is a major plus to some.We were given an opportunity to try out their dimsum dishes. They had it made closest to the real deal but tweaked to cater the pinoy taste. They're focused mostly on dimsum with some rice dishes to offer as well.Highly recommending the ff:Pork and Shrimp Siomai - forget the cheap stuff! This is the real deal! 😊Hakao - an all-star in dimsum. Theirs wasn't short on the filling. Something that we can all appreciate.Steamed Vermicilli Rice Rolls with Shrimp - almost the same as Hakao but it has a different cover. You could try this also with asado as well.Beef Brisket Noodle - nicely made. Not too salty. Good pair with the other dimsum dishes.Xiao Long Bao - properly prepared, soup still intact, truly enjoyable.Too bad their pork buns were sold out. Better try to hunt this down some other time. 😁So aside from Annapolis, you could visit Dimsum Place at these areas:- Fisher Mall- Sta. Lucia East- Waltermart DasmaFollow them on social media:FB: https://www.facebook.com/TheDimsumPlace/

good dimsum at a convenient location (at least in our neighborhood). prices are quite affordable compared to the offerings in the area of the same type. I still prefer dimsum form other restaurants but this is definitely a good option to have.

It was one of those moments when I was glad that I have no preconceived notion of what certain food taste like. This was brought about by the different experiences I had regarding the comparison between a lot of dimsum places that's been popping here in the Philippines. But I didn't visit "The Dimsum Place" just to make a comparison. So I just ditched my curiosity and went to their branch in Annapolis, armed only with an excitement of a first timer. I love the clean and high quality taste of their dimsum, which are priced unbelievably well. It's great that they create them in-house to make sure that the taste isn't compromised. Most of all, I love their awesome pricing of less than P200 per dish, making it quite competitive in the market. The interiors are mostly bamboo and wood; Zen style as what normally an Asian restaurant is about.About their food, you can really taste the individual flavor of the ingredients without the additional flour or extenders used in other Chinese restaurants. For starters, they served the Buckwheat Tea to us which was refreshing and tasted like white gulaman. Their Hacao and Steamed Vermicelli Rice Rolls with Shrimps were one of the best I've tasted. It has a thin and soft wrapper with fresh-tasting plump shrimps inside. And of course, Dim sum feast wouldn't be complete without the Pork and Prawn Siomai because seriously, WHO DOES NOT LOVE SIOMAI? They were downright meaty and I like it.For their dessert, we tried the Sweet Black Sesame Rice Ball mixed with Sweet Peanut Rice Ball- these two came highly recommended and are my personal favorites. I enjoyed the almond flavor and just the right stickiness of the rice with generous filling inside. Thank you, The Dimsum Place for elevating the quality of the Chinese food experience in Manila at the right price! :)
