No wonder the one in trinoma closed (i think). You get value for money thats it,the food is definitely cheap which says the same for how it tasted. NO CURRY RAMEN.

I recently started working in Eton Centris and as a newbie to the area, the first thing I wanted to do was to try out the restaurants peppering the environ of my office.Ramen X had a unique look from the outside. Large wooden tables and benches allowed for large groups, and the white walls and floor to ceiling windows contributed to the minimalist feel. Overblown pictures of their dishes are hung on the windows, and this was what beckoned me to try the place out.So what else do I try but their ramen? Most ramen dishes in the metro are pricey, so I was surprised when the ramen price range was from 140 - 190.I ordered the Oishi pork ramen. I wasn't expecting much because of the price, but boy did I get a surprise!Besides the noodles, which were cooked perfectly and had a nice bite to it, the soul of the ramen has got to be the stock. I admit I have eaten ramen that used stock made from pork/beef cubes, but I was pleasantly surprised by how rich and savory (and not oily) the soup was. It matched the slices of pork quite nicely, and brought the vegetables and noodles quite nicely together. My next mission would be to try their seafood ramen. And hope that the word Oishi on the menu lives up to its promise.

I have long wanted to try ramen, what with the recent ramen craze in town. One rainy evening, my wife and I together with a friend, decided not to brave the drizzle and traffic and just have something hot. So off we went to Ramen X at Eton Centris. We ordered tonkatsu and miso-based ramen. Taste-wise, very disappointing. Everything tasted bland. Nothing. The ramen itself was, well, like plain noodle soup. Nothing special about the taste, considering it was my first time to have ramen. I would have been more satisfied with Hen Lin's chicken mami. And the tonkatsu is a cute slice (or sliver) of pork thickened with breading. Utterly tasteless.Food is way too pricey for around P150 per head.FACEBOOK PAGE: facebook.com/untilnextweekend
