Sasa in Capitol Commons is an Asian fusion restaurant that I can finally like, with a good balance of accessible and adventurous selections, solid flavors, and hearty portions. The fourth project in a group of restaurants all starting with S - Splice, Sobremesa, and Sangkap are the others - Sasa's lineup is playfulness and inspired, and avoids giving fusion food the bad rap it often gets. I agree with those who are liking one of Chef Raymar Reyes's original creations in particular: a deconstructed lumpia reimagined as a savory crepe cake: think crispy, addictive pancake layers flavored with sauteed vegetables, teriyaki sauce, Japanese mayo, and bonito flakes ("Fried Yasai Itame"). A more classic looking eggplant dish with mixed vegetables was my second favorite - the eggplant meaty, the vegetables bathed gently in a glossy chicken gravy. That's just for starters. Their soy chicken, offered in two sizes, is accompanied by a very nice ginger dip and sauce that screams for piping hot white rice. Equally familiar and satisfying in taste is their crispy pork belly laid on top of mild tamarind sauce and garnished with pineapple.Their shrimp and chicken laksa is an interpretation (correct me, if I'm wrong) with less coconut than usual, but nicely spicy and accentuated with caramelized shallots and crunchy mung bean sprouts, as well as their lamb shank, cooked pata-tim style, with soy sauce and cinnamon and clove. I've never agreed with leaving prawns shells on for sauce-heavy dishes, like they do with their black pepper prawns, because none of the sauce finds its way inside; I found these prawns presented unnecessary effort, both for cook and diner. There are lots of fruit shakes to choose from, and I'm glad to see a very good sticky rice and mango dessert in the menu, the rice perfectly done and the mango and the coconut sweet. Ice creams are a fun journey all their own, with flavors like kaya toast, suman (or sticky rice), nori wasabi, and curry maple syrup. Nori wasabi and curry maple have a savory profile and I can imagine finishing my meal with the former, but maybe not the latter. This is fusion done well.Congratulations to the owners of Sasa and thank you to them and to website for hosting my meal.

Estancia used to be one of my favorite malls when I was still living a lot closer to this place. It being a less popular choice for mall goers and having free unlimited wi-fi (to compensate for the poor reception), this mall has been some sort of paradise to me. And after two years, this mall has become one of the promising website havens in Pasig City with its numerous restaurants. One of which is Sasa, an Asian restaurant which opened just a couple months back. Hello, Sasa Asian Cuisine!Bright colored walls and furniture are the first thing you’d notice when you step inside Sasa.

Ordered food delivery from here via website. Items were delivered on time and well- packed.Loved the Shrimp & Chicken Laksa - very good coconut milk taste with a fair amount of chicken pieces and a few small shrimps. Soy Chicken was just ok. Gets monotonous eating this dish. Eggplant with Mixed Vegetables was good.
