Food was average, the usual Japanese fare.We had Salmon sashimi ( this was fresh), Salmon Maki, California Maki, Bestsellers Bento Box. Nothing wow. There was a misunderstanding in order taking and instead of the Bestseller Bento Box, they served us the Bestsellers platter. And when we were trying to explain that wasn't what we wanted, the (manager, I think it was. He was the only one not in uniform) acted like it was not an option to decline the dish and when he explained to the chefs regarding the order change he made it seem like we changed our mind upon receiving the order. Someone needs to go back to service etiquette school. Thank goodness for a server named Rey who was very apologetic and proceeded to set the record straight with the kitchen staff. Maybe he should manage the place. That would help raise website ratings, that's for sure. In the end, he apologized albeit halfheartedly. Oh well. Don't think I'll be coming back again anytime soon.Okay, in fairness the person involved gave us some coffee jelly and apologized more profusely this time. I appreciate that, but next time mishaps like this should be addressed correctly at the onset. Apology accepted👍

They need to change the name of this place to nonbantay! The service was horrible. Everything needed to asked for several times. One of the most important rules of a restaurant is that the children's food should come out 1st. I followed up 5 times on the status of meal of our toddler. It arrived when we were almost done. Of course she ate our food before hand but that's not the point. To make matters worse the chicken karrage was still raw in the center. The service staff would deliver an order then we would find out later that the dish was missing pieces. This happened with the tempura and the yakitori special. I don't care if their excuse is that it was a Sunday... Restaurants should expect the large crowds due to the weekend and plan accordingly.

We had dinner in this place. Service: 5/5The service was great since the staff was very accomodating. Their waiters were easy to call. Food: 4/5The food tastes great but the yakitori was a bit pricey.

Food servings are small, we had sashimi and california maki. Service is good but they forgot to give us tissue and hand towel, consistency is important. Batubara is a bit dry but is okay. However they give back to kids through donation which is nice so I am changing the rating to 3.5

3.5We frequent their branch in Makati not only because they are the most convenient Japanese shop within the shopping complex, bar Sugi, but they do have good food. In fact Nanbantei introduced me to what most Japanese Shops don’t commonly have, the yakitori. So walking along this strip in ATC, I was pleasantly surprised that there is finally an outlet here in the south! My friend and I eagerly went in, tacitly agreed to do yakitori. They were all scrumptious! That’s the one thing I think that this shop can be proud of - they do yakitori well. The two kinds of Maki were good too :). The servings got smaller, sadly. The service was prompt and staff were friendly, they just don’t know discretion. The place is small, and the staff in the prep area was conversing with the staff where the tea area is so literally all we can hear were the staff loud conversation.
