Dining for a cause at the volunteer fireman’s coffee shop—Café Mezzanine. Imagine satisfying your stomach and helping the dedicated Binondo Fire Search and Rescue Brigade at the same time. XIAO LONG BAO- Flavorful and satisfying. Be careful for the soup might burn your tongue! 😜 SOUP NO. 5- Tasty broth and tender meat. A huge bowl of this is good for sharing. Sulit!

We ordered soup no. 5, century egg congee, and lava buns. Soup no. 5 is an acquired taste. It wasn’t bad, perhaps we just weren’t equipped for it at the time (think beef broth + liver soup). The congee was good & was a huge serving. The lava buns were amazing - we loved them and are regretting not buying some to take home!

It's really good to eat here, it's very relaxing.Service is good they have attentive servers...I ordered the famous soup#5 and their beef tenderloin and Iced calamansi for my beverage...(A thicker slice/cut of meat would be nice haha)Over all it was a great experience... :)

A must try restaurant in Binondo, Manila. If you love dumplings, try their xiao long bao (it’s my favorite) and Hakaw. Also try Kiampong (rice casserole) and Tofu - it’s sooooo good!

A friend recommended this place. Dined here with my family during the Chinese New Year week. The place was very busy (Well, all of Binondo was very busy LOL). It took quite some time for us to be seated. We also requested for another table, a more spacious one, and the staff accomodated our request with no question. We ordered the fried rice, lechon kawali, pancit guisado, chop suey, fried dumplings, and xiao long bao. My family loved the fried dumplings and the lechon kawali with the special sauce. Personally loved the xiao long bao. Prices are reasonable.Service is fast and good despite being fully packed. Location is good, very accessible and convenient. Ambiance is cohesive, revolves around the fireman theme. Would definitely come back.
