Dining for a cause at the volunteer fireman’s coffee shop—Café Mezzanine. Imagine satisfying your stomach and helping the dedicated Binondo Fire Search and Rescue Brigade at the same time. XIAO LONG BAO- Flavorful and satisfying. Be careful for the soup might burn your tongue! 😜 SOUP NO. 5- Tasty broth and tender meat. A huge bowl of this is good for sharing. Sulit!

We ordered soup no. 5, century egg congee, and lava buns. Soup no. 5 is an acquired taste. It wasn’t bad, perhaps we just weren’t equipped for it at the time (think beef broth + liver soup). The congee was good & was a huge serving. The lava buns were amazing - we loved them and are regretting not buying some to take home!

It's really good to eat here, it's very relaxing.Service is good they have attentive servers...I ordered the famous soup#5 and their beef tenderloin and Iced calamansi for my beverage...(A thicker slice/cut of meat would be nice haha)Over all it was a great experience... :)

A must try restaurant in Binondo, Manila. If you love dumplings, try their xiao long bao (it’s my favorite) and Hakaw. Also try Kiampong (rice casserole) and Tofu - it’s sooooo good!

A friend recommended this place. Dined here with my family during the Chinese New Year week. The place was very busy (Well, all of Binondo was very busy LOL). It took quite some time for us to be seated. We also requested for another table, a more spacious one, and the staff accomodated our request with no question. We ordered the fried rice, lechon kawali, pancit guisado, chop suey, fried dumplings, and xiao long bao. My family loved the fried dumplings and the lechon kawali with the special sauce. Personally loved the xiao long bao. Prices are reasonable.Service is fast and good despite being fully packed. Location is good, very accessible and convenient. Ambiance is cohesive, revolves around the fireman theme. Would definitely come back.

This was our last stop in our Binondo food crawl which was fitting due to the more relaxed ambiance of the place. Their Xiao Long Bao is their specialty and it was what we ordered. If you like almond milk or almond shakes, I recommend you try theirs because it tasted great and it was a welcomed relief after an entire afternoon of running all over Binondo. You could also drink tea here to help you digest all the food you’ve eaten throughout the day

I’ve already forgotten most of what I learned from my Mandarin lessons except for this: 我喜欢吃中国菜。(I like to eat Chinese food.)🥘🤤If you ever find yourself in Binondo, try Cafe Mezzanine! It’s one of my favorite places in Manila. The price is reasonable and they have many good options available like kung pao chicken noodles, salted egg prawns, and xiao long bao!

The pork xiao long bao was too doughy for me. The wrapper was too thick, and the actual dumpling itself lacked flavor and soup content. The pork and shrimp siomai also tasted old. I hope they can improve the quality of their food and their service.Overall, it’s an okay place of you want a quick and cheap stop in your Binondo food trip. Their place is neat. I really love the design of their plates - of course for me it is a factor that affects how I enjoy my food. I really love their food. Their "Hakaw/Hakao" is one of the best in town. I asked one of the staff if what food should we try and they were kind enough and having a good communication towards us and it was a success that we enjoyed the Lava Pao (as they suggested) - sorry but IT IS A MUST TRY!!!

My partner and I got lost on track finding cafe mezzanine for our first binondo food crawl. Buti na lang ang laki ng signage nila sa labas. Some firstimer like me can get easily confuse where is the actual cafe, its on second floor. The place become small for lunch hour since madaming pumupunta. We got what previous visitors suggested, xiao long bao and kiampong. Nagulat ako kasi kala ko 14 pcs. yung xiao long bao pero 10 lang dung dumating sa amin. First time to try kiampong, okay lang naman lasa.I don't want to rate cafe mezzanine bad since we're only here to try 2 of their menu but i don't feel the wow factor. It's not superb, not so-so. 4 stars, charge to experience we'll be back.
