Jonas is more of a lifestyle than a restaurant. You come here for its contribution to the history of pares (beef and soup), and its socially conscious business model. When you eat here it's like you're communing with the collective and you get a lot of feel good points for contributing to a better society. That aside, the food - well, not the best and cheapest pares around, nowadays. Still, the portions are huge, and they do have other viands, such as fish filet, that I think are better value for taste. The mami bowl is humongous and finishing it will make you feel the broth up to your gills.

Pares is relatively good. Prices are reasonable. Portioning is also commendable. Tip: when you order their pares, tell them you that you don't like ligaments and fats in your beef!Comfort food when you're really tight in budget!

Their pares is probably more on the expensive side, but I was still able to enjoy it here. Though the sauce is not thick as I would have hoped, the taste is not that bad.

Delicious food most especially the paksiw na lechon pork and beef pares. Today I ate pork paksiw, siomai and spring roll. Great taste but spring roll tasted like it has been spoiled for a day or two. But overall pasok sa panlasang pinoy!

Jonas is one of my favorite comfort-food places at Forum Robinsons. It serves the Pinoy classic food tandem: the pares, level-up version. My usual order is the noodle combo consisting of chicken mami, asado siopao and a glass of soft drink. The fried rice also goes well with the restaurant's variety of viands such as dinuguan, sweet and sour fish, tokwa't baboy, kikiam, and of course, pares. The pork and mushroom lumpia goes well with the mami, too. Prices are reasonable; in fact, the mami and fried rice serve 2.
