If you’re craving for Pinoy food, Wooden Spoon is definitely one you should try. My favorites are simple: just the pork sisig (super yum!) and ensaladang mangga plus rice and I’m happy! But there are other dishes that are worth ordering too like their crispy crab pancit, baked chicken, kare kare and many more. However what I don’t like about Wooden Spoon and really is the main reason why we don’t frequent here as much as I’d like to is that they only accept cash! And I don’t understand why. 🤷🏻♀️ I hope they change or have changed this policy since the last time we were here (although the description here in website still says “Cash only” in the restaurant overview page so I guess they haven’t changed). 😏 I’ve seen even smaller restaurants accept credit card as payment so why can’t they. 🤔

I've eyed this restaurant for my birthday celebration with the fam based on their high rating and i also agree with their positive feedbacks. Our top food selections were the beef kare-kare, stuff pechay, and chilli squid with mushrooms. Pork sisig and lechon kawali was just the usual. Not much menu for the kids though and the sinigang belly was real sour. Overall food was great plus the service was a pleasure.

Pinoy comfort food at its finest. On our table- Chicken Pandan- a winner with the kids; Tinapa Fried Rice- u huge mountain of rice mixed with everything but the kitchen sink (😂) and topped with crispy dilis; Sigarilyas with Daing- a perfect marriage of the creaminess of the coconut milk, and saltiness of dried fish , with a hint of chili; Sinampalukang Manok- sour and salty broth with tamarind leaves, kangkong, sitaw, and boneless chicken thighs. Perfect for a rainy Sunday afternoon; Bistek Tagalog- amped up with tender slices of beef on a bed of mash and gravy instead of the usual bistek sauce. The atmosphere is homey, just like having lunch at lola's. A round of applause for Sandy Daza!😊
