Been hearing about the Korean dessert called Bing Su at Cafe Seol Hwa. I chanced upon their branch at Century Mall and went on to try the Mango Cheese Bing Su. And I found it to be a great dessert experience. As it turns out, it's similar to our local Halo Halo. With crushed ice and milk as the base of the dessert and it comes with a type of topping or a combination of toppings.The Mango Cheese Bing Su is primarily comprised of generous bits of New York Cheesecake and fresh Mangoes. Together with the milky crushed ice, it's a hell of a delightful combo. The single size is actually quite big that it's even good to share by 2. What I found remarkable about the crushed ice is that its quality is so fine that I personally liken it to eating ice cold powdered milk. When it melts it turns creamy with all the dairy elements coming together. Priced at P240 per order, it's a bit expensive for a dessert but worth trying once in a while at the very least.

My officemates and I went to Cafe Seol Hwa to try their Bing Su (a type of Korean dessert). It was my first time to try this Korean dessert, and I must say--it was REALLY good! 👍🏼We ordered different flavored bing su's: Mango, Brownie and Injeolmi Bing Su. All large sized cups were enough for the 6 of us, and it cost us around PHP700 only. It took a while before our orders arrived but boy was it worth it!My favorite was the mango bing su. The shaved ice with milk was extraordinary, it was like how I would imagine snow, melting in my mouth. The mangoes which had the right touch of sourness complemented the sweet flavor of the crushed ice with milk. The brownie bing su was also good. There were brownie bits, oreos, choco crunch, nuts and other yummy stuff, scattered all over the dessert. Every bite was a pleasant surprise!😋Only downside is that their venue is small, and it's always full of people. Kudos though to the staff who were quite courteous and tried to accommodate us by rearranging their tables and chairs for the 6 of us. The overall experience and really yummy desserts were compelling reasons enough for me to actually go back the very same night, with another set of friends 😁 We tried the Caramel Coffee Bingsu this time. Good, but the mango flavor is still the best, personally. Don't be misled though with my bing su addiction--there are other food options and desserts in Cafe Seolhwa which I may also try, when I return in this really great find of a dessert place!😊

Visited Cafe Seolhwa again recently and it just wasn't as good as I remembered it. It was still pretty great, but the milk ice wasn't as milky as before. I still consider their Bing Su to be a nice, value-for-money dessert. This time around we had the classic Mango Cheese Bing Su and the Pat Bing Su. The Century City Mall store is located at the lower ground level and is somewhat cramped. As I said in my review on their main branch which is locatedat BGC Forum. The bingsu serve in this branch are not the same, lack inconsistency. The milk ice are not as milky compared to their main branch. But Itried out their Caramel Chino and it was so good I also loved the presentationand the use of a glass cup for it. The place compared with their main branch isnot as cozy and not your typical hang out place seat capacity is very limited.

Bing Su Korean version of Ice Monster or that's what I thought before I had my first try? I've tried Bing Su once in Maginhawa and I thought well just ordinary. Having seen this cafe for a while I thought of trying their version and believe I've never tried the real Bing Su until I have their caramel coffee Bing Su soft shaved smooth ice white soft and will melt in your mouth, creamy coffee ice cream, with generous sprinkles of cashew nuts, roasted almonds, caramel sauce, and milk I was really overwhelmed was not expecting that.Also, it's good to note they have some selfie stick available for customer use while you're in their cafe. Price it's quite above average but must try 👍
