The curacha or spanner crab is really a popular crustacean in this section of the country, appears like a crossbreed between a lobster and a crab. Curacha that exist deep in the ocean includes a slightly salty taste than the normal mud crab. Pincersof the curacha are usually flat and doesn't have any meats. One famous eating place built by way of a prominent family members has switched it into an icon- the Curacha in Alavar Sauce. Made out of coconut milk, curry, and a mix spices that remained a family group secret, the sauce will be smothered over steamed curacha. A supplementary cup of rice can make the very best compliment for the creamy sauce! Alavar’s main branch inside Don Alfaro, Tetuan, Zamboanga City supplies a more fine eating set-up. For reservations, contact (062) 991 2483. The restaurant advice to purchase ahead because cooking clean seafood requires additional time. A waiting period of 30moments is on the disclaimer. Their Paseo del Mar branch includes a set-up comparable to fast foods. They provide pre-cooked foods and barkada meals that's perfect in case you are in several three to five.

It is a very famous seafood restaurant in Zamboanga and is crucial spot to eat in once you visit but I really was disappointed with the service since our orders were served a lot more than the 30-45 minutes after placing the order that i thinkis really a very long time to hold back for orders to be served at the purchase price they charge for famous dishes like curacha and crabs. The restaurant decoration and ambience were excellent and colorful however the staff was combined between regular personnel and interns whcih had not been good since there even more interns who are not necessarily helpful and cannot also take orders that is only permitted to regular employees. Our first purchase was delivered after one hour to 1 one hour 30 minutes whenever we were informed it will require 45 mins and extra orders we made following the first purchase were delivered another hr later so we'd to remain for 3 hrs in the cafe to fianlly receive all orders whcih is actually bad service regardless of the delicious seafood I'm really not really recommending the restaurant because of the bad mix of really high prices( 3 curacha for 1500php and bad late provider.

We had an excellent buffet dinner with 30 guests. The employees were really attentive and foods was good. What's good is that corkage had been waived for a few food our visitors brought along. All functionality rooms were completely booked and I could see why. Thoughpricey, specifically for the seafood, it really is still worth a trip especially when via abroad.

For approximately PhP 600.00+++, this seafood platter is definitely the feast for the tastebuds of four to five individuals but was actually consumed just by three persons. There's the curacha or spanner crab bathed within its special sauce (that the eating place isknown for), shrimps, shells, a few grilled squid, and tuna belly with natural mangoes and bagoong. And meals won't be total without rice, which means this platter includes five glasses of rice. Thankfully, the curacha had been cracked open so that it was better to dig involved with it. The shrimps and squid had been cooked perfectly and the grilled seafood was nice and flavourful. The easiest method to devour seafood would be to dig in together with your hands al fresco. And their branch in Paseo del Mar has been just an ideal spot.
