Beef brisket meal set by Yumchee: MEH as a meal. But a huge YEY for the brisket as a dish.Iced Milk Tea with pearls by Yumchee: YEY.Everything was brightly lit, there were a lot of whites, clean lines all around. For a Chinese restaurant, it was an awkwardly clinical space, making you feel like you were walking into a hospital. There was something unsettlingly neat about the place. We ate at around 9 in the evening so the place was empty. I don't know how crowded it can get during peak service hours but I have my doubts. The brisket was good. The beef cubes held their shape but it shreded easily into tasty strings of meat at the slightest pull. The sauce was flavorful, as any stew should be, and had just the right amount of sweetness (and aromatics, most apparent is the star anise). It was really good.Unfortunately, the soup was tasteless and the fried rice was dry and lacked seasoning. It was like eating hospital food (dahil ba katabi niya ang St. Lukes?). I ordered an extra cup of plain rice so I can enjoy the brisket on its own, instead. But the white rice tasted and smelled funny. It wasn't like panis, it was more like it was stored too long. Gets? The rice tasted "luma" (stale). For the rice and soup, you'd have a better chance at your neighborhood Pares house like Cocoy's. Maybe Yumchee's brisket and noodle pairing would be better.I ended my meal with Yumchee's Iced Milk Tea blend with pearls. It was creamy and the black sago were chewy.I'd go back here for the brisket even if I think Php200 is a little pricey for something that is essentially a glorified "Pares".#websitefudihanMNL #website #brisket #chinesefood #fastfood #quiclbite #bgcfoodtrip #eatingmyfeelings #pares

It was a good thing I decided to eat here while waiting for my friends since I really enjoyed my meal. I ordered the beef brisket noodle soup and siomai. It tasted like food you can order from a good restaurant in Binondo. Their no fuss menu and restaurant layout were a plus. Service was also quick.

A well-lit restaurant that seems more spacious than it is, due to the fact that there's only a handful of people here at any time. Why? It's too much buck for little to no bang. What I got? Underwhelming iced milk tea, coming to the side of a half-filling rice bowl.

Their Hakaw is my favorite in the menu and one of the best tasting hakaw I've ever tasted. Whenever my husband and I feel like eating Chinese food, we come here to dine and order hakaw. For others who wants to try other food in the menu, I would recommend their seafood congee and their orange chicken rice meal... Just don't ever forget the hakaw. :)

Open 24 hours on weekdays and from 8 am to 12 midnight on weekends, Yumchee offers guests fast and affordable Chinese food. I ordered the Beef Brisket Noodle Soup (P159) with Wonton (additional P30) and a Specialty Drink (additional P50). My drink was the Milk Tea with Jelly. The noodles were well done and tender. The chunks of chewy beef tasted of star anise and pepper. The broth was savory, tasting like the beef with pepper, salt, and star anise. Full of flavor. The Milk Tea is cool and refreshing after such a rich noodle soup. The jelly cubes offer a nice chewy experience with each sip. Worth trying with a meal.

Me and my officemates decided to have our lunch here at Yumchee. It was Friday and almost all the restaurants and fast foods in Stopover are full. Luckily we were able to find a seat at Yumchee so we decided to eat here. We ordered their set meals; orange chicken, fish fillet with tofu, and spare ribs. It was okay. Nothing special.

Reliable diner that delivers good food and fast. The salt and pepper spare ribs were tasty and satisfying. The seasonal veggies were well seasoned too.

I get Chinese cravings once in awhile. Maybe because I am partly one. Does that makes sense to you? I got Yumchee for this, right at the comfort of my home. For my main dish, I got Adobo Chinese style. I was able to survive this tasty fix without rice. I would have enjoyed it better if it had less fat. The Spinach Dumpling was bland to its core. Yes you needed soy sauce and spice separately to make it edible. The Shrimp Tofu on the other hand was special. Its sweet and sour dip was just a plus to an already well made dimsum. Next stop here could be their list of congee and noodle selections.Second visit justified my initial review but also took the liberty to try new things. I enjoyed most their boldly tasting Black Pepper Beef. Pepperish delicious. Best paired with steamy white rice. Another worth trying is their Ice Kachang type of dessert kf fine ice, milk and preserved fruits. I suggest sweet mango with sour strawberries.

Tea time calls for the Sliced Pork and Century Egg. The pork slices are not as chunky as advertised. It's more minced. The rice porridge comes as too watery and has a strange aftertaste. Very filling at the end, though. The cold oolong tea was a good addition. The meal was surprisingly quite heavy. Yet, Luk Yuen's version of the Pork and Century Egg Congee tops 'em all.
