I rarely visit Uptown Mall since I live in Makati. I only visit BGC when I have to meet some friends and family. But in those rare times that I do, I'm really glad I can find awesome restaurants with good food AND service. One of them is this WATAMI branch. First of all, I really love the house tea. It's nice to sip a hot cup of tea while waiting for your food! Every time I go to Japanese restaurants, my basic order would be GYOZA + BEEF BOWL. Watami's gyoza is surprisingly one of the best ones I've ever had so far. I also love their mozzarella balls. Though I was already full after eating my beef bowl, I'm glad I still made some room for it! ❤🍵🥘

Watami is my go-to restaurant when I’m craving for some sushi. They offer affordable and a variety of Sushi, Maki and Aburi.  I also like their Yakitori and Udon. This would be my third time dining in Watami and I am as excited as they have new dishes that just come out. This one located in Uptown Mall in BGC, is spacious enough as there’s alfresco area, too. It’s placed along with The Bistro Groups’ other restaurants such as Denny’s, Texas RoadHouse, Buffalo Wild Wings and more.

Passion fruit and mango tea is a must! Their mug is bigger than my head (haha) so P135 is really worth it. Tried their pork cutlet and spicy miso ramen as well and I can’t think of anything else but YUMMY! Thumbs up for the creative skewers 👍🏻 Friendly and accommodating staff and a nice ambience in Uptown mall. Thanks for the good experience! 😍 #happytummy PS: they also have free 30minutes wifi. I love going to Watami! It is definitely our go to place to eat out. Especially with the Bistro card, we tend to frequent the place a lot.Service is always very good in a Bistro restaurant. Since we frequent Watami a lot, I find it funny but also appreciate that they already know my face and usual orders. It's one of the biggest reasons I also keep coming back. Despite the amount of guests, they are usually attentive and ensure all orders are prepared correctly and quickly.For food - they have a lot of options from sushi, sashimi, salads, ramen, rice meals, etc. I haven't tried a dish so far that I don't like.Drinks are also a plus. My favorite is their complementary cold tea and the yakult drink.We'll definitely keep coming back for more!

One of the Japanese dining option whenever you pass by Uptown Mall. I was craving for Japanese food that time and got curious to try this restaurant under the Bistro Group. We've ordered the following:-> The meat of the 'Pork Katsudon' was tender and it was served the way I liked it. There was nothing special, just the usual Katsudon you can eat in other restaurants. I expected a little twist from them.-> 'Deep Fried Pork Cutlet with unlimited cabbage and rice' was also so-so. The serving of the cutlet was a smaller that what we've expected.-> The 'Assorted Chicken Skewers' was nice. It took a bit of time before it was served but it eas worth it. This is what I liked the most in our ordered.-> The 'Orange Yakult' was missing the balance of the two components. I tasted the orange more and was looking for more of the yakult.

Wataminis one of my go-to Japanese restaurants. The food is delicious and reasonably priced for students plus if you have a bistro card you can save more. The servers are also accommodating and gives good suggestions.

The foods are averagely nice and the services are at the top notch. The guy who served me, I assume is their manager, he did his best at serving us, as satisfying every single request of mine. I would definitely recommend for a come back meal for sure. Peace out, love from Malaysia.

Rice bowls are awesome, suggest you ask them to cook it as they can do a better job of it, if we do it ourselves, we end up burning the bottom layer of rice.Get a BFF card, sulit!
