Date night with the hubby..Dont expect the usual pieces at their Gallery ( referring to the black ensemble of a combination of the Blessed Sto Nino and Darth Vader). On to the food..: Crispy Oyster- slightly oily obviously bec its fried so still prefer the fresh ones. Ordered this version because have not tried it fried before. Jamon y Pollo Croquettes- delicious but nothing spectacular.Jamon Parmesan and Beef Excalivado Pintxos- love them! Paired nicely with our Stella Artois..What will make us come back again and again is their Scallop in Squid Ink Risotto- simply heavenly! So creamy n tasteful , such a pleasure to partake !( It would have been a full 5 : We weren't able to make reservations so they can only accomodate us nearest the door. We were ok with that but what irked me a little was that after 2 hours when we were done, no one occupied the "reserved" tables.)

Price - on the high side. It's easy to pile up the bill. Food - the free appetizer - it had some thing with chorizo is not good. The chorizo had an after taste. The scallops black rice is ok. Nothing unusual about it. In fact the fried cheese was the crispy. The oxtail was just standard. Ambiance - nothing great or memorable. Given the pricing, I was hoping for a more comfortable seats. Service - was good. Overall is would give the place a 6.5 out of 10. Not sure if I'll go back to this place.

Ate here for dinner with my boyfriend together with my family (we were 9 that time) and I would say I loved the food served here! Don't judge but we love to eat a lot! hahahaOrdered: Smoked Salmon, Scallop and black ink risotto, tuna & foie gras, chicken & chorizo, 62° eggs & foie gras, wagyu beef carpaccio, crispy shrimp, cochinillo tacos, lamb popcorn, angus sliders, and plain ice cream for dessert.I highly recommend the scallop and black ink risotto, crispy shrimp and wagyu beef carpaccio! The food here is definitely worth the money :)

Reserved a table for for two at Vask on a Friday night. We were 30 minutes early but the staff graciously led us to our table right away. We took our time deciding what to order, but eventually settled with their 62° Eggs & Foie Gras, Crab - Hollandaise Pintxo, Heirloom Tomato Rice Risotto, Lamb & Vanilla, and Caramel Choco Lava for dessert. They offered us their white wine sangria because it was buy 1 take 1 at that time so we had that too. I never really had sangria that I liked, but this one was good, mainly because it tasted like orange juice with just a hint of alcohol. Before our orders arrived, we were each given a complimentary chorizo and cheese starter which was surprising because I thought they only served complimentary bread. 😊 On to our meal, we ordered the 62° Eggs & Foie Gras because their best-selling Foie Gras on Mango Toast wasn't available. It was okay... not a fan of it and I wish we ordered the Pulpo a la Gallega instead but maybe next time. I loved the Crab - Hollandaise Pintxo but it's pretty expensive for 90-something pesos apiece (still worth trying though! wish we ordered more pintxos but we were full na hehe). For our mains, I loved the lamb but the risotto not so much. The lamb was so tender in a melt in your mouth kind of way. It was cooked perfectly - easily one of the best pieces of meat I've ever had. For dessert, we both agreed on the Caramel Choco Lava and we were expecting a standard chocolate lava cake but this one had pine nuts and chunks of chocolate cake swimming in caramel sauce and topped with coconut ice cream. It was love at first spoonful! It also reminded us of a candy we used to eat when we were children but we can't quite recall what it's called. As someone who can finish handfuls of Kraft Caramels in one sitting, safe to say this was my winning dish of the night, and probably one of my favorite desserts of all time. After dinner and when most of the other guests have left, we asked if we can stay outside because we still had some sangria left. The view from the fifth floor was great and the breeze was so relaxing, although I felt a bit chilly. I kind of wished I could roll myself into a blanket burrito and sleep on the couch lol. It was a great night overall. I'm definitely going back for the dishes I wasn't able to try. Their service is impeccable - very courteous and attentive staff. Quite pricey but worth it. We thought the serving sizes would be so small that we would have to drive thru a fastfood chain afterwards, but surprisingly we left with huge and happy bellies! I now understand why Vask is described as one of the best restaurants in the country. Glad to have finally tried it. 😊 PS. Parking is free!

Food:great! Very unique and delicious. Wide variety of MODERN & TRADITIONAL menu. Pick 1 or 2 of each category and choose from a very good list of wine and alcoholic beverages. Ambience: good for date and hanging out with friends. The crew & staff were attentive and polite. Price: it's just right for the quality. Overall I like the place. Saw this from a list in 50bestrestaurants in asia. I might come back for some more spanish cuisine!

Quite deliberately, I tend to lean towards the more simpler fare when it comes to food. Some may even say that it's borderline "junk food". But since I became a blogger, every now and then, my gastronomic horizons are expanded, and I get opportunities to join sophisticated dinners prepared by a chefs that have cooked in some of the most prestigious restaurants from around the world.

My husband and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary last December 2016 in this restaurant. A former office mate of mine posted pictures of food from Vask in Facebook which made me curious to try it for this special occassion.Since this is my first time to dine here, i asked the restaurant staff regarding their best seller. The staff suggested squid black ink risotto which we ordered plus baby squid and vegetables. The staff is also very kind to request the Chef to prepare for us a special desset since they knew that it was our anniversary. Although the food is quite expensive, it is cooked to perfection using the finest ingredients available. Definitely it is recommended to try this resraurant. But do not expect to have large serving of food because it is usually good for two people. It is a bit pricey but worth trying for those who love good food.

Exactly 11 o' clock in the morning when I arrived at Vask Modern Tapas and Gastronomic Cuisine to avail my free brunch for two. Of course I have my date with me, I'm with the gorgeous Christina. 😜 I was fascinated with the interior of the restaurant. The modern interior of the restaurant and some of the art masterpiece were awesome and very striking. The Mickey Mouse inspired ceiling reflects with the glass table was uber super cool. But one thing really caught my attention was their Fork Spoon Knife see-saw located at the veranda, awesome! The Thank Full brunch were served after 30 minutes when we arrived at Vask and had the following:🍴Appetizers:Hojalde de Txistorra (Basque Country Chorizo, Puff Pastry, Roasted Apple Mayonnaise) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5Albondigas de Pescado (Fish Balls, Fisherman's Sauce, Vegetables, Spices) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5Beef Cranberry Pintxo (Roast Beef, Caramelized Onions, Cranberry Sauce) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5🍴 Main Course + Side Dish:Stuffed Chicken (Carrots, Bacon Mashed Potato, Homemade Gravy) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5Seasonal Produce (Pumpkin, Tomato, Green Asparagus, Zucchini) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5Barley and Greens (Edamama, Green Asparagus, Goat Cheese and Herbs) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5🍴Dessert:Chocolate and Pumpkin Loaf (Dark Chocolate, Vanilla Custard, Caramelized Pumpkin Seeds) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5I don't know if the food were cooked earlier... the appetizers served in a hot plate but its not hot nor warm. Even the main course it's not that warm, but I'm pretty sure that the sides were cooked after we were seated. We were welcomed and accommodated by their staff nicely. The service was superb.Thank Full "A Vask Tapas Brunch" is available all weekends of November 2016 for Php750.00+ at Vask Modern Tapas and Gastronomic Cuisine.#ilovetoeat 😃❤️ #VaskModernTapasAndGastronomicCuisine

I attended a friend's birthday celebration here last month. It was an intimate group of not more than 25 people. We had a private room with plenty of space to move around. To describe the place artsy would be an understatement. The place was brilliantly conceptualized, with each wall and ceiling well designed, every nook maximized and spaces littered with art pieces, each one a conversation starter. It was simply a wonderful setting for a celebration like this. The atmosphere was lively. The space and privacy allowed us to mingle around, catch up with each other and break out in boisterous laughter. The continuous flow of wine meant inhibitions were down and party mood was high. My friend also brought in an acoustic singer for a dose of mostly 80's music we all loved. Food was served as we were serenaded by the performer. We started off with chorizo platter and then served with a bevy of tapas. There were pulpo a la gallega, an assortment of croquetas, crispy shrimps, baked scallops and calamares. Each dish was delicious. I've always been a chorizo fan and I loved the selection. I enjoyed all the tapas but my top picks were the croquetas, baked scallops and calamares. The croquetas were exciting because you don't know what you were picking. I got one with ham and another with squid inside. Both were moist and tasty. The scallops were beautiful. They were cheesy enough to drown the briny taste of scallops which remained soft and moist. The calamares were wonderful. Hands down one of the best versions I had. The highlight of the dinner were the cochinillo and the paella. They were visually very appetising. The paella was cooked al dente. It was moist and flavourful. The cochinillo was equally brilliant with its crispy skin and moist meat. Each and every dish we were served, including the desserts, was simply excellent. My friend's birthday dinner was a success and Vask was very much part of the reason for that. Everyone enjoyed and I, for one, had a blast.

Vask, awarded as one of Asia's top restaurants by San Pellegrino, had just turned 3 and what better way to celebrate its anniversary than by presenting 30 new dishes. I was honored to be invited to their tasting event, in partnership with Booky Manila.  The restaurant's ambience was like a work of art and will leave you feeling like dining inside a museum. It is very elegant. The creations of the very talented Chef Jose Luis 'Chele' Gonzalez can be tasted by its patrons, especially those who want to experience something different yet contemporary at Vask Tapas Room. The Tapas Bar serves more than just authentic tapas, but delicious French dishes as well. Article by: Dennis Carlson Lim | TFC Photos by: Michelle Chan Cortes | TFC Edited by: Mickey. Published by: EATer.PH
