Grabbed a tapa king meal this morning since I was running late. When I opened it I was grossly disappointed with the serving, because the portion was simply ridiculously small, like a size I see my small niece is eating, not fit for an adult and definitely not for a hungry one ☹️. The good thing was, it was good especially the vinegar that came with it, it totally complemented the slivers of beef that was well marinated. It's good to eat the beef without the vinegar but it's best to eat it with the vinegar 😋👌🏻on top of that, they've done the egg beautifully, yay!

I usually order the Smoked Bangus, but since I have a memory of it being fried in disgustingly dark oil the last time I dined here, I ordered the Tapa King instead, along with Ginisang Kangkong. The kangkong was good -- fresh, and wasn't overcooked or too salty. The tapa however, was probably the worst I've had lately. The meat looked like it wasn't cooked well, tasted rather bland, and was too gummy that my jaw started aching halfway through my meal. With my two (and only) visits to this branch being a big turn-off, I'm probably never eating here again.

A glorified tapsilogan, a notch higher than your regular carinderia. I only wished the meal I got was as enticing as the photos in front of the store.

FOOD: 4/5 | SERVICE: 2/5 | AMBIANCE: 3/5Tapa King is one of the establishments that offers cheap Filipino foods but not sacrificing its quality. Now they are serving Royal meals which includes 3 breakfast dishes. We ordered their Royal Meal A which includes their signature tapa, danggit and tocino. Their tocino by the way is very good while the danggit is ok since there are limited restos who offers danggit, you can say this is quite ok compared to Chowking's. Here you can include it this Royal Meal while in Chowking you have to order your own meal. Their signature tapa which is not sweet & spicy is also good. The downside of our visit here (and every other Tapa King branches) is the serving time if you order their "Tapa King" meal. It took more than 30mins, maybe they could improve on this and prepare lots of Tapa during peak hours

Food was fine. It was the type of meal that you’ll look for after a long night of drinking. Or if you’re just looking for something to comfort you. Service however was saddening
