Fun place to try out different kinds of beer and expand your palate from the usual local beer selection. They have samplers, if you dont want to commit to a pint yet.

Very accommodating staff. You can taste first their beer options before ordering a pint. They also have 4 different glasses to choose from. Ordered number 5 and number 11!

Chill place to hang out and enjoy beer in Burgos Circle. Their selection of craft beers is quite varied and interesting. There are two limitations though, the space and the food menu. Our table had to order the same sausage platter twice not simply because we can't get enough of it but more because it was the only menu item that sounded and looked palatable to us at that time. It was also good though and can be considered as value for money. I'm not sure if this is still going on, but they usually have a buy 1 take 1 beer promo every Thursday.

Great little place at the back of Tipsy Pig with regular sports showing on the big screen they have. The reason for my 3 is the temperature of the beer and their high food prices.

This place made me feel to be proudly Filipino. They offer 25 uniquely homemade draft/tap beers displayed at the bar. Most of the craft beers offered are localy brewed and only few are imported. Their brewery is just located in Tagaytay. We ordered#3 Therapist Porter (5.8%): a dark beer that tasted like coffee. A liitle bitter, malty but perfectly brewed.#6 Black Bitch Stout (4.8%) : another dark beer named after a black greyhound from a Scottish town called Linlithgow. Lighter tasting than #3, this is one of their best sellers. It has a refreshing start and slightly bitter-sweet ending. This one is a must try if you like dark beer. #21 Weihenstephaner (7.7%) : can't even pronounce this oneIf your cutting down on carbs and cash, order this one since it would bring you the buzz without much of the bloat at an alcholol level of 7.7%. If its your first time here, I suggest to order the Beer Flight. You can pick 6 kinds of tap beer from the menu served in 6 small glasses (checkout pic) this gives you the chance to choose your next weapon.Price range: Php 175-295: a bit expensive but the market calls for it since only a few places in Metro Manila offer a unique -wide -range tap beers. Well, there is definitely a demand for it.

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to visit two craft beer places in BGC. Tap Station and the Bottle Shop. Tap Station is a cool beer bar in BGC serving a variety of craft beers. We tried Weihenstephaner Wheat Beer, Weihenstephaner Vitus Bock, Heverlee Belgian Beer, Black Bitch and Hard Day. The last two are brewed in PH. With my further experience the next day, I'd say my preference is for pale ale kind of beer with low bitterness. My partner prefers wheat beer which she likens to the 'Hoegaarden taste'. Also this is one the few places where you can get Peanuts with your beer, good spicy peanuts for Php 95. We also ordered the Pastrami board with Port Salut cheese and an apple! Quite a unique dishes with your beer

This place is simple and straightforward. We went here for my friends bday and the waiters even sang with us when we brought the cake. The staff needs some more smiling and training - giving suggestions on what is good and which beer to try. The style of the bar is really nice. You just want to have a beer? You go here. Period.

Ordered a fancy pastrami plank. I'd give this dish a 4.5 of 5 because of how interesting each of the pieces were - the pastrami had coarse ground black pepper, the cheese tasted like it had a hint of butter, and we learned that it's delightful to eat apples while drinking beer. The only downfall was that the bread was too tough. I also tried 5 kinds of beer, none of them I particularly liked (cannot remember the names). However, this might be the very reason i'd be back at Tap Station. Gotta find the right beer for me. 😉We spent around 2,500 for 10 beers and this plank. Not bad, in my opinion.

I have no idea why there are 6 reviews rating this place 4 out of 5.I took my parents and my girlfriend to Tap Station for their wide variety of draught beer (25 beers) they're offering. It was quite full, most of the seats were taken. But I do not know WHY this place was full. My party (4 people) tried 12 different beers out of 22 (3 were out of stock). EVERY single beer was warm, tasted watered down, and flat. This place has to be the worst tap house/pub in Manila. Even the German beers (e.g. Paulaner, Leffe Brun) were the worst I've ever tasted. No wonder why the bartenders had to keep removing the excessive amount of foam on each beer - it's because the beers were warm. Even the two foreigners beside us left with their beer more than 3/4 full. I really wish I spent the money on a bucket of ice cold pale pilsen/red horse, instead of drinking piss they were serving. The service was absolutely terrible. I have complained, on a few occasions, that our beers were warm, but our complaints were not taken seriously. The manager said it was because of "their glassware", and did not do anything about it. No apologies were given, just expected us to drink whatever they served us. The interior and decor were the only nice thing about this place. If you are looking to experience local or import craft beers, please go to The Bottle Shop, it's just two streets away.

We got no. 17. Because no. 21, 20, 19 and 18 (we asked in that order) had run out. Parang sa pag-ibig. Kung wala talaga, eh di move on to the next. Di kailangan magmukmok. Basta nasa puso mo si Christ, you'll be fine. Sobrang masaya naman kami sa napili namin. Pilit na #hugot. 😆Since they only offer beer (they don't hand out menus, you choose from the huge blackboard at the bar), you have to order food next door. We had truffle pasta and pepperoni pizza from Frank and Dean. #frankanddeanThe place is cozy and has an urban bistro feel (distressed wood panels, polished cement flooring, unconcealed piping). Don't expect to get drunk though, unless you bring lots of cash. Bring friends and stories, instead. #maibalangHere's a reply to a friend who asked me about the beer: Wow, hirap naman ng tanong. Pwede bang "masarap" na lang sagot ko? Hahaha. I'm not a beer person. Pwedeng ramen na lang? Hahaha. Pero sige. Of course, it's not watery like San Mig but it's not too heavy on the palate either. It's quite sweet, to be honest. Not sweet in a pinoy kind of way like softdrinks. It's like burnt caramel at first sip and it becomes malty in your mouth. When left at room temperature, the sweetness softens but the bitter taste is still agreeable as compared to warm red horse. Toasty, I guess is also a good word to describe it. So there's no issue if you are penniless and you can buy only one mug and you sip through it for an entire hour. That's what i did. Haha. Sorry for the San Mig and Red Horse references. Next time I try imported beers, I'll take notes so I'll have more sosyal references. A friend told me there's a branch in Malate. And they're selling everything at half the price! 😆
