June 3, 2018Our producer for the video shoot we've been producing called a meeting in one of his fave vegetarian restos. We were kinda iffy since the last time we got invited by him to a similar resto, the food wasn't up to par. We arrived just a few minutes before him and settled upstairs. We ordered food for sharing and talked about future plans with him. First to arrive was the Mushroom Gyoza (Php 285), a good premonition for the rest of the food to come. The Emerson (Php 495), which was described as "Baked Lentil-Mushroom Loaf Served with Zucchini-Aubergine Ratatouille & Mashed Potatoes" was the star of the night. The next few dishes came marching in afterwards, with Mushroom Chorizo Shawarma (Php 385) and Rustic Pizza (Php 425), all of which we happily shared over planning and stories. We capped it with Dark Chocolate Cupcake (Php 125) ala mode. This experience definitely opened our eyes on this type of gastronomic experience and would probably try doing some at home too.

I had high hopes for this resto but am sadly dissapointed. Their menu claim that they only serve gluten-free food but I was told that they ran out of gluten-free pasta and will just use the regular kind.They have a useful legend on their menu that indicates which dishes are soy-free, nut-free and so on, but according to the waitress they don't follow it and suggested I discuss with her my dietary restrictions. I told her I couldn't have soy and she highly recommended their icecream. It came in its original packaging, I later read that it is made of soy milk. So here I am feeling sick and all I can do is write this review.Take note, i messaged them about these things before visiting. I hope they shape up and stay true to their brand.
