Lucky enough to eat at this place when there's just me and my group around. Another good thing was their 10Php per wing deal. We tried their shawarma pizza which was interesting. Other items on the menu are quite cheap too.

Review 2: If you haven't been to the country they coin as the Down Under, don't skip Skippy's. It is a full-blown Australian Bar owned by a cool Australian dude named Steve Burn. As they celebrate their 5th year, they are launching a new menu called Aussie's Favorites. Our team was able to indulge in some of the latest offerings. We had a feast on this visit, a preview of what you will expect from them as you visit. The name Skippy's was coined after a kangaroo with the same name in a TV series way back in the 70s. Steve was an avid fan of this playful animal. In fact, the actual surviving paw of Skippy can actually be found inside this restaurant. And if you ring the bell with it, you have to buy drinks for everyone! I dare you to do it. We got Overload Fries first and got even more fries as it was in most of the plates served to us. This dish was like the usual nachos only it has potatoes instead. It had kidney beans, salsa verde, ground meat and sour cream sauce. It's a fitting starter while you wait for the rest of your orders to arrive. I was wowed with their Aussie Burger (Php 580) piece. It has two thick and tasty double hamburger patties joined together by melted cheese, topped by a perfectly bright runny egg. This Aussie masterpiece also has a pineapple, red beets, pickles and tomatoes somewhere in the middle. Altogether you will have bites of sweetness, sour and savory all in one go. If you are in the BGC area late and still craving for breakfast, Skippy got you covered. They have Breakfast Platters here! First is the English Breakfast, which comes with toast, fried eggs, bacon strips, pork and beans, horseradish, grilled tomato and mushrooms, sausage and hash brown. Continental Breakfast was an equally filling meal but more meaty with sunny side up eggs, French toast, barbecued chicken, ham, beef steak and a side salad instead. The beef steak's texture and marination was similar to our Filipino Tapa. As we were getting filled up, we were showered with sizeable thin-crusted pizzas! So we had Shawarma Pizza with spicy mayo, Filipino inspired spicy Sisig Pizza and my top pick amongst the three, Meat Lovers Pizza in barbecue and tomato sauce combination. All pizzas had generous toppings and were distinctly different from each another. To pair of the pizzas, we were served pasta as well. We had two tomato-based, Lasagna and Chicken Parmigiana. The former was rather ordinary, the latter impressed with its significantly sized delicious, schnitzel. You can spot the kangaroo at The Forum, 7th Avenue Corner Federacion Drive, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. There is ample parking at the back of the establishment. Review 1:There are actually three malls in BGC, four if you are to include Serendra, and five if you are to add Megaworld's Piazza. There are also a couple of commercial centers around the area including the Fort Strip and BGC Stopover. So I have discovered this restaurant named Skippy's Bar & Grill, which you can find in another restaurant strip called the Forum. Surprisingly, it's just a small area but you'll never run out of food choices here.So anyway, in spite of the number of customers at Skippy's, which weren't that much at all, everything just seemed to be in slow motion. The staff members seemed to be moving at a snail's pace, whereas it took them ages to process our orders. To make matters worse, even the dishes that they have served us were quite disappointing.Skippy's chicken kebab (priced at Php400) looked like it was of a generous portion at first glance, but to our dismay, there were only six pieces of bland grilled chicken on the plate, which were mostly that of chicken skin. I even had to put ketchup on it just to give it flavor and make it interesting. The vegetables that go together with it were at least fresh and crunchy.I am sorry to say this but I do think that Skippy's chicken barbecue pizza (priced at Php250) is probably the worst pizza I've ever had in my life. There was barely any chicken on the pizza, and the barbecue sauce tasted like the generic bottled ones you get from the supermarket. It tasted way too sweet for my palate. The only thing that's nice about it is its crunchiness.Their brownie with ice cream (priced at Php170) was no match compared to the better ones I had in the past. It crumbles easily and it was airy too. I'd say that there are locally made ice creams that even tasted better than this one.As for their tropical smoothie drink (priced at Php180), I was hoping that they will use fresh strawberries for this one but to my dismay, they seemed to have used strawberry jam in it. I wasn't happy with its taste at all.So after having spent almost three hours at Skippy's watching the Australian Open Final, I do think that you ought to skip going to Skippy's. There are much better dining places to go to, and I guess this can only be a good spot if you're in the mood for watching sports events since they have huge screens here where you can watch them on.Maybe I'll give Skippy's another chance next time. Probably at NBA Finals? Sounds like a plan to me.

First restaurant that I've been to that charges you 50 pesos for mustard. Jeez.. just wanted some condiments for your crappy sausage. Cheapskates! 😂

I have been in this place too many times already. The ambience is quite OK specially in the mornings where there will be just a few people. The staff is accommodating and friendly. They really follow through customer requests such as making a cocktail a little stronger. The food here is quite OK as well, very normal but not exceptional. I would recommend this place simply for the service, the ambience and fact that they slash the price of their drinks during unholy hours.

Skippy's is an Australian bar, known for their longest happy hours (80 PHP on cocktails?!?) and Australian dishes fused with Filipino cuisine. It's your typical bar with lots of drinks, great company, and even a pool table. They even have a television that offers a host of channels either from AU or the PH, and a band that plays almost every night. It's definitely loud, and while it isn't the best place to chill and catch up with friends, it's somewhere you can go all out and make new ones (like what I said, the LONGEST happy hour!)We started off with a few drinks. I got a cocktail called "Down Under", containing tequila, vodka, gin, Blue Curaco, and orange juice with Sprite. A bit strong, but tasted addicting!Started off with finger food! Potato wedges, chips, potato scallops. All the potato lovers out there will enjoy this! Pair it with your drinks and you're good to go! I love the fact that the pizzas were thin crust, so it wouldn't fill you up too much and is right to the crunch. Fine amount of toppings, with the cheese winning!Shrimp Gambas - Just yum! Shrimp popped in my mouth, good sauce and well-cooked.Pork Sisig - Your typical pork sisig... Addicting and perfect with beer.Sausage Trinity - Hot sausages with pepper, nicely seasoned and not too chewy.Beef Salpicao - This is where my photos (and state of mind) started being loopy, LOL. But I do remember this! Beef was a bit too chewy and hard. Flavor was bland so I wouldn't recommend this.Beef and Chicken Pot Pies tasted great! I love the presentation, though I would throw the breadsticks away and get right on to the good stuff - the pie itself. Mashed potatoes, though bland, combined well with the gravy (I guess that's the point!)OOOOH YES, my ultimate favorite - the Crispy Pata! Crunchy, right amount of savory and did NOT need sauce for me to enjoy. Unfortunately only had one piece before everyone else got it all. That's how good it was. :(Hot Wings were delicious. I don't normally eat wings and fries, but these were addicting and salted well, so I just kept going! Wings weren't crunchy, but they had good Buffalo sauce!Caldereta wasn't much of a winner. I wish they blended the cheese rather than add blocks of it on top. But it tasted like my grandfather's cooking, and that equals a good dish!First time that dessert (Chocolate Brownie) wasn't my favorite dish! While I did like the softness and chocolate-y beauty of the brownie, Crispy Pata will forever win my heart. But great presentation and portion size for just 170 PHP!We ended the night with just three more drinks. Well, three HUMONGOUS drinks, LOL! We got two strawberry margaritas (slushy and iced), as well as one more round of iced tea (unpictured). This was what definitely got me loosen up! :pPS: Post a picture of you and your pitcher of margarita/mojito, tag Skippy's, and get 50% off on your next pitcher! All in all, I DEFINITELY had an awesome time in Skippy's with my new friends! With awesome promos and activities, I'm coming back for more than just the happy hour. ;)
