Underrated. IMHO it's like Recovery Food with varied and more affordable options and better-tasting food. The rice bowls taste great and are relatively affordable given the serving size. Place is okay for functional eating (watch out for leaking aircons). Service could definitely be improved. My favorites: Bistek Tagalog, Steaksilog, Pork Binagoongan, Tokwa't Baboy

Had our small party but their aircondition is busted. Not a good experience for me being there for the first time. I know some restaurants who serve the same at a cheap price.

Salo is pretty solid Filipino restaurant in the middle of BGC that serves very affordable food. They have great tasting rice bowl meals at only 140-150php that you can choose from. I usually get either the Tapsilog bowl (although the tapa was chewy and hard the last time I ate here) or Pork Belly bowl, you should also try their sisig! The best part about the place is that the beer buckets are cheap (at 240 php for 5 bottles) and they are open till every early in the morning. Salo is a great place where you can hang out and chat with friends after work since they have tasty and affordable food with cheap beer. The bad part about the place is their service needs to improve by a lot. But that shouldn't stop you from trying.

Not worth it. Food I ordered Sinigang Na bangus with lots of fishbones, which declared in by chef/manager boneless. And serving is very small( 2 small cuts of tail). They charge for service. will definitely not go back again. Not treated well. Chef not able to explain well the reason and the small serve.

My workmates and I went to BGC for an awesome night out, but before we headed out for the late night, we had a sumptuous dinner at Salo, located at The Fort Strip. Since we were a group of six, we decided to have the Salo-Salo dishes which is good for 2 to 3 pax. I requested for my favorite, the Gising-Gising. The serving was more than what I expected, and the taste wasn't disappointing. I loved the amount of heat put in it. We also had the Sizzling Pork Sisig and Bangus Ala Pobre. I love both the sizzling dishes. I wish I could have more servings. :)For the hardcore dishes, we also shared the Adobo Spring Chicken and the Kare-Kare.I was surprised with the Adobo Spring Chicken, the meat was well-marinated and the sauce complements it nicely. Fortunately, they served my favorite Filipino dish that evening, the Kare Kare. The serving was more than enough for the price, and the meat and veggies were quite generous. Salo was a big surprise for me. The food was delicious and quite affordable as we only spent around Php 200 per person. All servings were very huge (including the rice, which can be shared by two persons) and the service was impressive.
