Tapa cravings satisfied! Other than the tapa meal. Their tapa pizza is also great! Within the budget and satisfying! The location is nice, however, a few renovations of the chairs wont be bad. Hehe

Decided to drop by this place for some quick cheap dinner and of course I wanted to try their famous tapsilog.  Of course for its price it didn't disappoint as  I loved how simple meals like this can complete your night. I guess I will continuously visit this place and try their other entrees besides that tapsilog.

As a treat for myself this payday I had a yen for comfort food with a little nostalgia, and happily there was a Rufo's nearby to answer that yearning.Back when I was working in a BPO in Buendia, my teammates and I would go to the nearby Rufo's for a beer breakfast (haha!). Frustrations, stories and gossip would be shared over adobo mushroom and plates of tapa. The perfect way to decompress, bond and rebuild your trust in humanity - after being thoroughly flogged by customers during the shift.So, I tried to recreate that by ordering the same items in their branch in McKinley, but sadly I was alone on this trip as beer breakfasts weren't something regular office workers understood. I did skip the beer for this meal, though. No point drinking alone.There were already customers when I walked in at around 7:30ish in the morning. This branch has seating outside the restaurant, inside without air conditioning, and another room with AC. I opted to go to the air conditioned area where a large group was already seated at the tail end of their meal. I didn't mind the noise, because it kind of reminded me of my old teammates. Besides, this is what Rufo's is about: casual dining to enjoy with friends.Serving time was around 3 minutes from the time I placed my order, which was pretty much as soon as I sat down - since I already knew what I was going to have. Although, I was confused for a bit, because when I took a glance at their menu to confirm prices, I could not find the adobo mushroom at its usual spot near the picture of the sizzling sisig.The waitress quickly amended that by showing me an updated menu.The tapa is still as soft and sweet as ever, but I wish I had friends with me to share the adobo mushroom because after awhile the saltiness was too much for one tongue to bear. After all the dish was meant to be for "pulutan" and to be enjoyed over cold beer.The one thing that I wish Rufo's would update is the choices for dessert. A serving of saging con hielo would be a perfect salve to their salty "pulutan" dishes.

I expected more on their tapa. Because they have advertised their restaurant as "famous tapa" they have a few serving of it, and a little bit pricey. I also ordered their rufos burger. And I enjoyed it rhan my friend's tapa. And, their porkchop is tender. And it taste fine.

I definitely go to Rufo's when I crave for beef tapa. I usually order the Rufo's Famous Tapa that comes with beef, sunny side up egg and garlic rice. The beef strips are soft. But what sets it apart is the sweet sauce. The sauce has been Rufo's signature. It's a must-try.Recently, I tried the Rufo Burger (tapa, sunny side up egg, lettuce). It's a good alternative if you want to stay away from rice but still wants tapa. This is known as breakfast place. It's open 24 hours.

There's a lot of choices in McKinley hill but for budget friendly and worth it taste, I highly recommend this place. Upon entering a staff approached us and led us to our seat. We were seated in the area which has AC. The food was served after 10 minutes. My partner who's a fan of tapa ordered their famous tapa. I was on to trying something different so I chose their danggit. Two thumbs to all of the food we ordered! The tapa has only few strips but the money is all worth it. It unusual that the tapa has sauce but it blends well with the tapa, it has this sweet taste and the tapa is so tender. The danggit is well fried! It's crunchy and not too salty! Pair it with the tomato and it's perfect! They served only one tomato, I hope they they can serve 2 next time.

I probably ordered the incorrect meal during unfortunate circumstances. The Sizzling Chicken that I ordered was not really remarkable and it took longer than usual to be served. I should've opted for their "real" specialty.
