I have fears that this branch of Razon's will go the way of Johnny's (which is 2 spaces away) and bid adieu from McKinley Hill. The restaurants in this area do poorly even though there is ample foot traffic, because the people walking by are either hurrying to work or to leave work, the crucial lunch hour of these people who walk by though is spent on restaurants that are near their offices. This is most especially true of BPO employees, because the adherence to scheduled breaks is strict. A second past the 15 minutes or hour alloted for your break will incur the wrath of so many people on the floor: workforce, your supervisor, and your supervisor's operations manager. They simply cannot afford to walk further than a few steps out of their offices to get lunch, or to wait for their lunch to be prepared for that matter - their incentives etc. is on the line!So I was their only customer, and the staff at the cashier seemed a bit surprised that I walked in. Their menu had a lot of items unavailable, possibly because the lack of sales did not merit keeping ingredients for these dishes in stock.Fortunately my usual sizzling bulalo and halo-halo (of course) was available, so I ordered that. The funny thing was the cashier asked me if I wanted my halo-halo "later" - which for me is universally understood as after the main meal, so that the ice would not melt. Of course, I said yes so that the halo-halo would be pristinely cold without slush when I ate it, however when they did serve my food a few minutes after ordering - the halo-halo was there!I guess, technically it was "later". LOL.Anyway, Razon's should think about setting up halo-halo kiosks instead since that is their main draw anyway. They don't have to maintain a branch that is always mostly empty, or keep stock for dishes that don't sell, yet still gain revenue for less staff. Open one up in Venice Piazza please, if you think it's a good idea.

Razon's classic halo-halo is the best I've ever tasted. Their halo-halo is not the usual colorful and ingredient loaded street halo-halo. It only had macapuno, milk and crashed ice. Yes, you read it right! But the taste? It's heaven. You cannot go wrong with their halo-halo. Swear!

Aside from their famous Halo-halo, I find Razon's pastries delicious too. I tried their Special Ensaymada for 55PHP. Regular Ensaymada costs 53PHP so might as well get the "special" right? Anyway, the sweetness of the ensaymada wasn't overpowering. The bread was soft from outer to inner layer. Overall, I enjoyed it. I also tried their Silvana. It's a small polvoron-like dessert that costs 35PHP each. It's chewy in the inside. It tasted like Sansrival. They don't sell any brewed coffee here.

Razon's Halo Halo isn't your typical Halo Halo which is usually a bright purple mixed with green and red jellies, and a number of other toppings. Razon's Halo Halo may look more subdued than its purple counterpart, but don't be fooled by its color. They use Carabao Milk and they top their halo halo with a sizeable chunk of leche flan which makes it rich, creamy, and of course, delicious. I don't eat Razon's Halo Halo all that often, but when I do, it's always a mouthwatering treat.

This has the best halo halo in town. For snacks, I get the palabok, Dinuguan and puto. This place is affordable so I order a variety. Serving is small except the halo halo so you tend to order more to satisfy you.
