Service - Went here on a Monday, sandwiched between a long weekend and a holiday so the place was quite full. There was a table beside us who was really loud but we couldn't blame the restaurant for that; it's still a board game place after all. My only problem was that due to the slightly rowdy crowd, the servers weren't able to focus on the other customers. They were really undermanned that night since there were only 3 of them and it was a full house. The board games helped in distracting that fact for a while but after getting our food served one by one with a 30-minute interval for each, it got quite annoying. They also weren't able to get one of our orders so we had to wait another thirty minutes or so for that one. The servers were kind though especially Jess but it was obvious that they were having a hard time managing a full house. I don't fault the servers because it was obvious that if they increased their manpower, the service wouldn't be as bad.Ambiance - The ventilation wasn't good so I wasn't able to enjoy the experience. It was cooler outside than in due to the number of people too. As for the placing of the tables vs the kitchen and bar, we were seated in a location that wasn't easily seen by the waiters so we had a hard time calling their attention. For the area where you sit on the carpeted floors, they need to clean the place since the smell of socks and feet were already apparent.Food - The food is quite as you'd expect in a board game place. I don't think customers go for board game restaurants solely for the food anyway. The choices were less than what was available as posted in website during our visit (I think they updated their menu, much cheaper but lesser variety too).Overall, I wouldn't really come back. Hopefully they listen to the feedback though since board game restaurants are really great hangout locations for those who want to spend a chill night with friends.

I was invited to a website meet-up (FMU) at Puzzles Board Game Lounge in the Fort Strip. While I am familiar with the concept of tabletop game cafés, I never heard of a tabletop game restaurant. But whether visiting as a diner, a curious newcomer, or a competitive gamer, Puzzles has something that caters to all those tastes. The fact that it has a Stay + Play promo of allowing people to play after buying one meal or paying PHP150 is great news for gamers.

MONTECRISTO is so good!!! Craving for it. Super. :(🏖 AMBIENCE:Puzzles interior for me is ok. Or maybe because Snack’s and Ladders in Maginhawa really did set my standard for me when it comes to interior or maybe because their clients are more on the mature audience.🍽 FOOD & 🍹DRINKS:Dishes that caught the attention of my tongueMonte Cristo (P370) Really thick Brioche Loaf with mozzarela and cheddar cheese, bacon strips. Imagine our surprise when we tasted this beauty. B-A-C-O-N 🥓 S-L-A-B (P340)Yes! You read it right! Bacon Slab w/ mushroom rice and poached eggs. When it comes to baecons, Puzzles really has great sweet and yummy baecons.Oreo MIlkshake Just the right amount of sweetness. I enjoyed it a lot! 💆‍♂️ SERVICE:So far so good when I visited the place. Attentive staff.🚳 PARKING:There’s a parking space beside Fort Strip where Puzzles is located.🌏 OVERALL: When it comes to food, this place trumps for me more than their board game offerings. :D Enjoyed my stay here because of the good food. Definitely a must try for foodies out there. ;)

Puzzles was where we decided to have our team building at. Booking a table and ordering in advance were easy and someone always answered their outlet's mobile number. We booked for 20 pax and we initially pre-ordered 5 sets of Buffalo Chicken Tenders, 5 sets of Classic Chicken Fingers, 10 sets of Grilled Cajun Pork, 3 sets of Chips n Dip, and 15 extra cups of rice. When we went there, most of our orders were already served. We were seated at the second floor and we occupied the whole area. Utensils, jar of water, tissue, paper cups, and plates were at the side for our convenience. We looked for board games from their wide range of choices and were excited to play while eating.Buffalo Chicken Tenders live up to the buffalo in its name and are very flavorful. Classic Chicken Fingers on the other hand are bland. If there were no sauce then they're almost tasteless. Grilled Cajun Pork is okay but nothing special. Chips n Dip are saltier than the usual chips but in a good way.We actually requested to separate the rice and pork of the Grilled Cajun Pork twice-- first when we pre-ordered, second when we confirmed our attendance the day itself-- and group both of them and put in a tray or large plate and they agreed with that on the phone. However our instructions were not followed when they served those but we guessed it was okay, no big deal, maybe there were just some misunderstandings. With that aside, I can say that their service was great.Their first floor is bigger than their second floor. They have comfort room and I think it's maintained less but nonetheless okay. Their board games are situated in a big shelf where there are bean bags so that people can access them easily. With the number of customers that they have everyday, it's reasonable to have soggy cards and I hope they find a way to preserve the cards longer. Puzzles is an overall cozy place for family and friends who want to spend time playing various boardgames.
