Ping pong diplomacy is a Chinese fusion restaurant located inside SM Aura. It offers range of noodles and rice meals. We had their egg pie (P120) their sticky rice cake (P200) tofu and centru egg with cranberry (P250) pork boodles (P350) truffle dimsum (P150) and beef rice toppings (P250)I liked their noodles. Bursting with asian flavors. Their rice cakes are must try! Price here is a bit expensive thought considering their food serving size. But will definitely come back. Its worth it trying their food here.

Had a pretty late lunch here with my SO.We ordered: 1. Prawn Scotch eggs-my new favorite, covered in sesame seeds, egg yolk still runny, comes with a wasabi mayo2. Crunchy Eggplants-stayed crunchy even after an hour!3. Surf and Turf Noodles-tiny serving (two people could share if they ordered something else, but seasoned well4. Szechuan Pork Belly Burger-not that spectacular, not worth the price5. Ping Pong Iced Tea-very gingeryWould definitely go back.

Food is good but compared with the other Chinese restaurants, it’s average. We ordered (1) Chinese Steamed Egg and Foie Grass - according to my sister (I don’t eat liver), was sweet at first taste but when mixed, it became bitter, (2) Ping Pong Wings - typical Chinese- flavored fried chicken, reminds me of that Chinese fast food resto with super big chicken chops, (3) Surf and Turf Noodles - I didn’t enjoy, quite bland for me, (4) Orange Chicken Wanton - aka orange chicken dumpling, not your ordinary orange chicken and was the best out of what we ordered, (5) Yang Chow Rice - flavorful, (6) Fortune Balls - mochi, super good too! There were crunch bits that tasted like oats and the cold green sauce (we thought it was wasabi, it was not) complemented the mochi balls. The balls are like “malagkit” in our ginataan. Lastly, we had Rose Iced Tea that tasted like taho vanilla at first but it tasted very pretty, if you get what I mean. It was a good start- up restaurant in Aura, prices were a little too high for my food standar, but we had eatigo... so there.

Tried this non-traditional chinese restaurant and we loved it! All the flavors and textures of their dish are so rich. Quite an exciting creation.

It's my first time here and I fell in love with the food. They did Chinese Fusion just right! Servers were very helpful especially in how to consume the food orders in the best way possible. Flavors play harmoniously in your mouth and nothing is too much. The Caveman Beef Rib goes well with the Fluffy Egg Fries Rice. The portions are good for 2-3 people. Would definitely go back since there are still a lot of dishea that I'd like to try. Only thing that's a bit too much is the price.

We had Ping Pong Diplomacy’s “oriental burgers” for take away. We tried the five spice chicken and the szechuan pork belly. Between the two of them, we enjoyed the five spice chicken better. Their pork belly is way too fatty to be enjoyable. Both “burgers” tasted a bit “instant”, but the amount of time from ordering to when our take away bag arrived was far from instant. Serving time took quite a while despite ordering from the restaurant’s designated take away booth. Overall, the oriental burgers are worth a try but there may not be seconds

I remembered ping pong with the movie, Forest Gump. In that classic, Tom Hanks excelled in this sport that he got to compete with Asians. This playful restaurant offers you a twist of familiar Chinese dishes with American cuisine by my brother, Chef Him. This is not a sponsored post, instead my marketing team headed here for a meeting after a talk in Samsung Hall. We had a good balance of three dishes, offered at reasonable price range. Our table had their Not Mapo Tofu, Soy Lacquered Chicken and a bowl of colorful and crunchy vegetables, like a modern take on Chopseuy. There was so much flavor in their best selling Soy Chicken. I highly suggest this Chinese staple on your must have list, especially if you are dining here for the very first time. This plate should be good to share with a family or a small group. I love how they recreated Mapo Tofu, serving the smooth soy custard in layers topped with slices of char shiu. This was spiced with just the right amount of heat but could get you having more rice than you should. Here in Ping Pong Diplomacy, you can also expect noodles with a mix of American variety and burgers in cua pao form. Chef Miko Aspiras also serves his out of the box desserts here, which I’ll come back to on my next visit.

The place serves more of Chinese fusion meals than your traditional Chinese place. Serving time is very quick too. The food serving is good for 2-3 persons and the servers are very nice to help you with the orders.

The moment I heard that the restaurant "Ping Pong Diplomacy" would be opening up in SM Aura Premier, I was ecstatic for two simple reasons:.                             #1 I'm a huge fan of Chinese food.                                                        &

I solo-dined so I ordered only two dishes, and they were extremely different. One was something I couldn't finish, but the other one made me want to come back and maybe try other items. Huh.For the extreme love-hate relationship, I'd give this place a 3.0 but servers add the .5 on the rating. Will MAYBE go back and see if that changes my mind. Here's a summary of how it went:• Five Spice Chicken Oriental Burger with Hong Kong Milk Tea:On my first bite, the word ironic popped in my head. Five Spice, but ironically it begged for more spices. Even salt and pepper would be a step to redemption. The dryness of the shredded chicken sandwiched between toasted baos was too depressing.• Szechuan Pork Belly NoodlesIt’s savory, filling, and very tasty. As a Filipino, it’s like a tasty pancit that you’d either want to pair with rice, or a piece of bread. This bowl tasted like a really good ramen minus the broth. And that Szechuan pork belly portion was so tender and flavorful as if it was the equivalent of your chashu pork on most ramens.
