Masala on a roll. Masala for the win. 😋 For Indian cuisine cravings while in BGC, try the #newbombayauthenticindiancuisine for their butter chicken and mutton masalas, paired with roti or naan. 👍🏻😊 #foodtodaywithdorainbgc #taraletseat #website #foodlover #zomatoph

I was craving for an authentic indian food here in Manila and I know that it’s a bit impossible to look for an indian food that’ll tastes really authentic. I used website to search for a restaurant and I found New Bombay. 3 stars because : Interior - It’s unappealing. The chairs and tables are a bit old and it doesn’t have an indian ambiance- at all. Food Chicken tikka masala - I tried mild spice for my chicken tikka masala and I regret it. It’s salty that’s it. But the chicken is tender. The texture of the sauce is good. Naan - it is well cooked. It doesn’t have that burnt taste. Well done! And FOR THE WINGulab Jamun - When I had my first bite, I closed my eyes and this dessert took me to india for a minute! It is soooo goooood! I expected it to be too sweet but goodness, the sweetness is enough to satisfy my sweet tooth and bring my soul to the streets of India! This is the bomb! The texture’s there- it’s not too thick. If I didn’t know that this dessert’s deep fried, I wouldn’t know at all. The syrup’s good as well. Kudos! Will definitely come back for Gulab Jamun. ❤️

We went here on a summer afternoon. The place is packed and there’s only one server to assist us. We waited for roughly 20 min to get seated since we dont want to be seated outside due to the heat.We ordered butter chicken and palak paneer (cottage cheese in tomato and peanut sauce). It’s not as flavorful as the one in Royal Indian Curry House, but it’s still good. The ambiance isn’t good though. The place isn’t as well maintained. The servers are not in a good mood - or not in the mood? Im not sure. Nontheless, the food is okay.3 stars would be enough for the overall experience. Will go back, but probably on another branch.

Enjoyed our meal here. The masalas from the buffet were delicious, especially the shrimp one. I ate mine with biryani but I think I’d rather eat it with pita / roti. I can also take more heat, so I would love to try a hotter version. One of the best gulab jamun I’ve tried here in the country. Even better than the one I’ve tried that was made by an Indian neighbor. Maybe needs just a smidget of cardamom taste. The service is a bit lacking. I wish they were more attentive.

Broken aircon, no ice, no pakora - it was really disappointing. Food was still good though. I wish they would step it up in customer service.

I don’t know what was hot the food or the venue. Inspite of continuously telling the staff to open the balcony door(since It was cold outside, believe me) the staff kept ignoring. Surprising In a country like Philippines the service from the staff was so bad. The food is good though. Must visit place if you don’t care about service.

First of all, there were flies flying around when we dined here. Please look at my first picture. My hand got sore trying to get rid of them.Second, the service is poor. Compared to their new branch in Venice McKinley. I don’t know if the servers were tired, but when we arrived at the restaurant, the male server was practically just texting or using his phone and there just 2 diners at that time. When he served our first order, he just placed it on the edge of the table and then left, not bothering to put it in front of us.Third, the place is poorly maintained, as I’ve said, there were flies flying around and the utensils were a little bit dirty, not to mention the cracked in the plates.Lastly, the food were too dry for me. We had the Tandoori Platter and it was a let down. The Butter Naans were drowning with butter. But what I loved was the Chicken Tika Masala. The lassi which is one of my favorites, was too sweet, I can really taste the unmelted sugar in my tongue. This is my 2nd time here in this branch and still disappointed as the last time I was here. I will not be coming back to this branch but definitely will in their new branch at Venice Mall.

love this indian restaurant :)We sometimes dine and order through food panda. The curry is tasty, even if you don’t order the meat dishes. The palak paneer andThe lentil dishes taste different each time. I have no idea why...:( Favorite dishes - Palak paneer (Cottage cheese and spinach), Paneer Butter Masala, Vegetable Makhanwala. You can also order garlic naan and cheese naan to complement the spicy curry :)

I loved their food! It felt so authentic because we were the only non Indian people there (except for the staff). Even the chef was Indian too, which was a giant plus. I had a paneer dish, the first one on the list (I can't remember which one. The spiciness burned it out of my mind) and my SO had chicken tandoori. Both were delightfully spicy. Yes, they made my bowels cry but it was worth every bead of sweat. The flavors were strong and contrasting in a cool way.Indian cuisine is really broad and interesting. This place gives a great glimpse to it imo.P.S. I took a star off because of the decor and the setting of the place. They don't have a sign by their door and you wont know they exist unless you try hard to look. They lack facade. The dining room is also cramped. We sat by the door and almost every delivery guy touched us with their bikes. Not too appetizing if you ask me.

There are not a lot of Indian restaurants in BGC, the only one available is New Bombay. Whenever I crave, I head over to the Crossroads Building. I always order their samosa, mutton masala, and pita. Their samosa has a crispy exterior and has the rich flavors of cumin and other indian spices with every bite. Its very good with the tamarind sauce. The mutton masala is rich in flavor and great when you dip the bread on it. It’s delicious.
