I had the pleasure of dining there today. I seldom or very sparingly use pleasure so it definitely has to be earned. This restaurant doesn't offer the run of the mill Chinese food a la lugang cafe..Gloria maris etc. They have a small selection for the non adventurous. Their food is spicy and that doesn't specifically refer to chilli...they have grades of chilli to choose from so anyone can experiment with the pleasures of sichuan cuisine. Each dish was unique and distinctly delicious relative to all the Chinese restaurants I have tried and I've tried a lot. The portion sizes are massive and affordable. I'd be going back there in a tearing hurry. I've not done a run down on the dishes yet since this was my first visit but rest assured I will soon. Average price per person should be around 600-700 max

I am from China and looking for Chinese food, but very disappointed! Fish head is made by Simon fish ( wrong material) and strange taste, cannot eat at all. Chicken and pork also so so. Soup not right formula either.

I just love this place! I love Chinese food and Modern Sichuan satisfies my cravings all the time. Too good to resist! I loved their sweet sour pork, corn soup, curry crab with fried buns, 3 pots chicken and etc. Ate there for 4 times and no complaints at all. The service is really good and fast!

One of the emerging cuisines around is Sichuan. It is considered one of the most popular way of cooking in China and mostly characterized for being spicy. However, Sichuan food actually includes salty, sour, bitter and smoky and flowery taste. It uses your entire set of senses too but in one symphonic rhythm. Owner of this is same with neighbors, Korean KPub and Japanese Ogawa. We got to have the latter while having authentic Sichuan on our own private room. It's a huge stretch of space these three occupies at the Fort Strip. Everything we had heightened flavors. It stays with you. Their Beef Kimchi (Php 480) was in cold cuts form with an amazing combination of spice and salty seasoning. It goes well with steamed white rice. You can have half Peking Duck and it's a bargain for just Php 1,300. The meat was lean and delicious. It's even more satisfying with hoisin, carrots and usual spring onions. We had it second way for just an additional Php 100. This is when it's grounded beautifully and we wrap it with fresh lettuce. Southern Pork (Php 300) was similar to Patatim but theirs was better. I didnt mind having some of its juicy and tasty fat while I munch on really tender, flavor filled meat.

If you live or work around BGC, Modern Sichuan is a pleasant, family style Chinese restaurant. The edge amongst the many Chinese hot spots in manila is that it offers more authentic dishes and a little flair of the unconventional. It's an enjoyable irony. Come and Ty the spicy jellyfish, the sweet chili chicken or pork, steamed fresh with green peppercorns and the very interesting hanging pork with cucumber and spicy sauce.Apparently they serve more than just house tea, so if you're in the mood for red wine, do it. :)Kain!

North Girl says its worth the trip ... This place is my family's go to when craving for good spicy suchuan food. I like how the place is well lit ... Value for money for the quality of food they serve. Sharing some of our must orders ... for starters the black fungus are really good ... the fried intestines are cleaned well so it doesnt have that funky smell ... fried real crisp on the outside and a lil crisp but still soft on the inside. The fried chicken coated w salted egg , shrimp skewers and sambal okra ... i dont eat Okra ... never liked them but for some strange reason i can finish an order of this by myself :) try it after all okras good for the skin too :)

The right place to dine for a family gathering since the tables are set on a group basis and the ambiance invites some kind of group bonding. Not only that, this resto serves succulent dishes that fully satisifies one's ever growing tummy. This place serves great Chinese food and another visit is a must. 😋

This is the best Chinese resto in the metro where the food are great (no msg) i mean all foods taste really good. Their group food packages serves generously the good for 6 can be good for 10. The place is perfect for all special occasion and the serving is excellent and most of all price is reasonable. It's always delightful to return here.
