Chicken orders took so much time. If you’re in a rush like on ur lunch break. Not a good place to go. Only order that takes little wait time is sizzling tofu. Bad experience. No sense of urgency.

We had our lunch here at Uptown Place Mall today and we had to go to different restaurant since there are a lot of people. We decided to go to Max’s Restaurant instead. This is our first time to be together and luckily we were third on line. We did not wait that much. Thanks to the staff and manager on duty, they made it possible for us. We did not even wait too long for our food. Great job!!! We will definitely visit this branch. Amazing job!!!

I stumbled here, on Christmas Eve's late hours picking up a cake for an impromptu Christmas celebration, and got my hands on their Troubador cake. Hey, their chicken is good, how bad can they go with cakes, right?

Several tables were not taken for about 5mins. And yet we're not called to be seated. Sobrang tagal ng turn over and bussing out. Gawd. Sa ibang branch mabilis naman like Glorietta 2.

1- if you're an employee within Uptown Mall/Towers, wants a local dish with a reasonable price, then this is your place!2- staff will usher you immediately to your seat3- staff are attentive to your needs/orders4- I don't like being verified if my food and the service is good while I'm eating --I want to concentrate on my food5- they will immediately pick up plates and utensils that are already used/empty/done for --which i like, no unnecessary kalats on the table!6- so many feels on their background music

Let's start with the constants. 12 noon is a very bad time to walk in to any restaurant - it's when most of the office people decide they also want to eat out. Rainy lunch even makes it worse as most logical thinking adult would want to sit in a dry comfy restaurant eating his or her plate. On a rainy lunch after a doctor's appointment, I am craving for TOFU. And I had this one good memory of  MAX's eggplant tofu from one of my dinners with my sister years back in Makati. So we decided to go to MAX's in Uptown Mall as it was the nearest resto where we stand at that time.We ordered:• Adobong Kangkong Stuffed Tofu• Eggplant Tofu• Plain RiceAnd we were damned for the next 50 minutes, waiting for our order to be served. It took the branch 45 freaking minutes to prepare Eggplant Tofu and another 5 minutes to prepare the Adobong Kangkong Stuffed Tofu. Best part of it?! We were told serving time would take up to 20 minutes - I did follow up after 20 minutes and they said it's already being prepared, after 5 minutes I followed up (again) ; and when I was so pissed and asked for the order to be cancelled was the only time they actually prepared the 'very hard to prepare' tofu dishes. Seriously, how LONG does it take for TOFU to be cooked?! It is even easier to cook than your FRIED CHICKEN, SINIGANG and CRISPY PATA which you served first to the enormous group of customers who arrived 15 minutes after us! I understand the 20 minutes prep/serving time (I stated the constants at the top); I do not understand how TOFU can take longer to cook/prepare than your FRIED CHICKEN, SINIGANG, or CRISPY PATA.One more thing. That plain rice you see in this review was actually burnt! One can literally smell it and I didn't know how I swallowed a spoonful of it. Really bad.Would I go back to Max's? Probably - when someone decides to pay for it. But if I am paying - NO, I wouldn't go back to this place, specifically to this branch. My REASONS? - stated clearly above.Get your stuff together MAX's Uptown Mall branch. Even if a customer doesn't order your famous FRIED CHICKEN and SINIGANG - they are still your customer. AND you should extend the same service to them the way you extend to your FRIED-CHICKEN-ordering-patrons.

Masarap sana itong Lumpiang gulay nila kaya lang medyo maalat for me. Mababait ang mga nag-serve sa amin, I asked na wag iinclude ang pork dito sa lumpiang gulay. Yung isang kasama ko tuwang tuwa nung nakita at na-try champorado dito. :) More power to Max’s Restaurant. God bless! :)

Waited for more than 40 minutes for our food to be served, when we were told that it would only take 10-15 mins. Manager was not accomodating AT ALL. Also, the table next to us was the one served prior us when in fact we came and have ordered before them! When I stated to one waiter this, he told me, “kanina pa po sakanila”. Anu to, lokohan? And the worst thing is, the food is not even warm! The sizzling tofu was not even “sizzling”. Please train your staff to be customer friendly. We did not even receive any apologies.

They had a promo meal wherein there's chicken, chicken skin, lumpia, pansit, fish strips, and signature caramel bar in one plate for around P300. We ordered that plus one basic meal. The chicken skin is crunchy and tasty. Lumpia is just okay and their pansit is really one of the reasons you will come back to Max's, their chicken being the main reason, and caramel bar being the next. The sad part in this combo meal is that the chicken is too small. The fish strips taste like sweet potato but it's surprisingly good. Now that I'm writing this I'm not sure anymore if it was fish strips in the first place. Caramel bar is so addicting and one piece isn't usually enough.Staff here are polite and attentive. Been here many times and their place was usually hot and there were lots of flies too.

Lifesaver for a last minute pakain in the office! I ordered food for 10pax and they had it ready in 20mins. Max’s may be a little bit ordinary for some, but this branch delivers extraordinary service. Their servers helped us carry our takeout all the way to our office. They did the same to the other customer!
