I am not really a fan but I still tried to change my perception of this resto. I tried to eat here again recently. I don't know what is with their chicken here that doesn't call to me. I love fried chickens, mind you. Also, I love roasted chicken if the juiciness is maintained. Grilled is great too, with the right flavor. We ordered the package meal for 4-5 persons which costs 800. It has pancit, a whole baby chicken (haha), garlic rice plate, dessert of buko pandan and drinks.The rice was garlicky and I loved it. The pancit tastes okay with a few toppings of squid balls and what not.The chicken tastes okay to me while it was still hot. I just don't think it is enough for 4-5 heads to feed. If not for the sauce suggestion of a 'friend' I will not enjoy eating it. Dessert was so-so. You see, I don't feel like I am eating something special here. The price is a bit on the expensive side considering I don't feel like the food is at par with the value. Anyways, again, it may be just me and my tastebuds but I don't really enjoy dining here in whichever branch.

The House That Fried Chicken Built has built a good meal for me. I don’t often go to Max’s, but when I do I always enjoy their Basic Meal (P190). It consists of a quarter of their famous fried chicken with steamed rice or rolls, a glass of either soda or iced tea, and a caramel bar from their bakery. The chicken is soft and buttery, with a thin crispy skin that gives a gentle crackle and pop with each bite. I enjoy putting a lot of ketchup with my chicken as it adds a delightful sour tang. The iced tea is refreshing and the caramel bar is chewy but not crumbly. Both are sweet but not overly so. Guests can request for unlimited iced tea for an additional price. The same is true for upgrading the rice to garlic rice. For dessert I got the chance to try their Mango Créme (P75). It is like a cheese cake on a graham cracker bottom with mango bits and grains of buttery, sugary streusel. Each bite is sour from the mango, before leading to the cooling cream, and then ending with the sweetness of graham cracker and streusel. I recommend this dessert when wanting something new from their selection.

When I crave for authentic filipino food, this is my go-to place. Their fried chicken makes me feel home. It’s like the usual home cooked fried chicken your mom would cook for you. However, my main concern is their air-condition. Like seriously. Been here so frequent and their room temperature has always been the same. Even when food is good, but if you feel too uncomfortable because of the room temperature, the total experience suffers.

Had high expectations given the food quality in other branches. However all food served left us extremely disappointed. Fried chicken and lumpiang ubod were all served cold. That’s despite waiting 25mins for the food to arrive. The chicken lacked salt and was very, very dry. Worse, this was served with soggy kamote fries. The pancit bihon lacked toppings and flavor. Max’s please conduct a major overhaul in Bonifacio Stopover branch’s food quality.

The restaurant is okay, we tried the Chicken Sisig meal with Sago’t and Gulaman. We also had buko panda and leche flan. Surprised because they gave iced tea instead of the Sago’t Gulaman because they do not have the syrup for the drink. But its fine, we waited for the Sago’t Gulaman.

This Max’s branch is my go to place when craving for non-fastfood / “real” food while waiting for hubby to finish with work. I usually dine here alone or sometimes with hubby during his break since this branch is just near his office. Plus factor is that they are open for 24 hours. Credit Card transactions though are not available between 10pm to midnight since I think they’re having system refresh. I love their Chopsuey meal, it’s my default order. The hubby always order their Tofu Sisig which, I must say, is also really good. Love the food, happy that they’re always open whenever hunger strikes!UPDATE:Soup of the day-Tinolang Manok tastes like arroz caldo. Yum!UPDATE:I love their Fried Pork Belly and Shrimp Sinigang! Though the portion they serve it is good for 2-3 persons, at P499 it was truly worth it. Broth was a bit thick and so so good particularly at the day I ordered it, it was raining. Would’ve wanted more veggies though.UPDATE:What happened to the taste of your food Max’s.. Pancit Canton was super salty. Pork Sinigang was super sour. So disappointed.

Of course Max never lets me down, the chicken is of course is “sagad to bones” ... this time i tried the Nilagang Baka and Stuffed Tofu which compliment the chicken we ordered.Service is 9/10ambiance 8/10Taste 9/10Parking available at the basement.

The last time were here all is so slow. We even asked a friend to order our food ahead of timw but what the f*** when we arrive we need to wait more. If you are operating 24/7 make sure that you provide an excellent service!!!!!

Chicken sisig - chicken used was roasted. Medyo nakakaintimidate usually ang chicken sisig kasi minsan mabuto and di mo makita, pero eto meat part lang talaga. Walang umay factor kahit na may mayonnaise dahil sa celery, so fresh yung lasa. However, I'm not a fan of celery. Feeling ko tuloy kumain ako ng chicken salad. I was surprised na yung siling green ay crunchy at hindi "luto," I like my chili fingers to be almost wilted na para makain ko sya. Pero for presentation, it served its purpose.Sago't gulaman - I like the glass and the fancy small spoon used. Hindi overpowering yung arnibal and may variety sa sago. Yummy.

I requested that they dont put chilis on the chicken sisig i ordered. But that didnt happen. Even if the fact is that it cant be done, they should have informed me so I would have ordered something else. (I’ve tried their pata rice before and i liked it a lot.) I just tried to see if i can tolerate the taste. No. I just asked for the bill. They know i wasnt satisfied, but instead of apologizing, the waitress asked if i wanted dessert. Wow.
