Food is delicious but the servings could be bigger. Split an order of pho with my cousin. Broth was well-flavored but the meat shavings could be more. The fish ee ordered was tasty but I think was a little overdone. The five spice pork was yummy! But we had to fight over the teeny tiny pieces (especially the ones with crunchy bits of skin) But really, their fried rice pretty much stole the show. It has bits of pineapple and get this.. Pop rice! Genius. We were also fighting over the rice hence, another order just to maintain peace on our table, haha! Oh. And the grilled chicken salad. Had the right amount of spice to fire up for the rest of the meal. I recommend this restaurant, just not if you're a heavy heavy eater.

We went here in a group of 3 and our budget is only Php 200.00 per head since we were in a low budget yesterday (October 16, 2014) when we went to BGC. We looked around for an affordable place to eat. Canvassing, we decided to eat here at Lefamily since their servings are less expensive than the others and are good for sharing. We already planned outside and computed the bill to see if it will suite our taste and budget. We also thought of a well-varied meal and decided to order a Fish-Chicken-Pork-Vegetables combo. We are also to order their frog dish but it was not available at that time.We ordered Chicken Salad (Goi Ga) for Php 168.00;Pork Belly with Five Spice (Ba roi ap chao) for Php 260.00 and Fried Rice with Salted Fish (Com chien ca man) for Php 188.00.The food is not bad, it was tastey especially the Chicken Salad. However, it would be better if the servings are bigger. We also did not get the feels and taste of an authentic vietnamese cuisine. For us, it was still very Filipino.

This is where I first experienced eating Vietnamese food, and I must say it never fails my expectation but surpassed it. I love the food and the servers are nice. The pomelo salad is unique in taste, the sweet and spicy flavor mix in your mouth which makes it unforgettable. If i where to come back here I will definitely order it again.

Wanted a quick and light meal and we found Le Family Vietnamese Restaurant. So tried a Vietnamese Porkchop with Meat Pie & Sunny Eggs with a good tasty and balanced flavor Beef Noodle Soup. Awesome combo with a good price. So all in all happy with the meal!

Usual family dinners could be spent here. The pricing was good, servings were many, staff was polite (which is an A++). Try their best sellers, shrimp in sweet tamarind sauce.

Went here for my me-time. Their Vietnamese spring roll is good, though I have a problem with parsley (I just personally don't like it). Steamed chicken is also a winner. Place is not too crowded so, it can be a chill place for a date.

We went to Le Family for my post-birthday celebration. It serves Vietnamese cuisine that I find very healthy. Here's what we ordered:Pomelo Salad (5/5)(P168PHP)Great appetizer to start with! A must-try. The dressing had the right mix of spiciness, saltiness, and a pinch of sweetness. The pomelo went well with the rest of the fresh vegetables. It's a small serving though (good for 1 or 2 persons only).Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls (3/5)(168PHP)It consists of three pieces rice spring rolls cut into halves. The taste was so-so. The peanut sauce tasted good. You have to dip the rolls into the sauce otherwise it tastes nothing.Fresh Spring Roll (3/5)(148PHP)It's almost similar to the fresh shrimp spring rolls minus the shrimp. This is for the vegan.Chicken Soup Noodles (3/5)(220PHP)I eat Vietnamese noodles a lot. Unfortunately, I find Le Family's version average. The broth lacked in flavor. The serving was also too small especially the amount of chicken. The chicken was also not cut into strips. Nevertheless, the rice noodles were cooked well and tasted okay. Fried Beef with Celery and White Onion (5/5)(260PHP)The brown sauce was delicious! The beef was soft and easy to bite. It was too thin though.Steamed Chicken with Spring Onion (2/5)(230PHP)Great food presentation. It's Instagram-worthy. However, the taste of the chicken was bland. Also, some parts of the chicken tasted like uncooked.Fried Prawns with Tamarind Sauce (3/5)(330PHP)I only had a bite since I'm not a huge fan of prawns. The sauce was a bit salty for me too.Fried Rice with Seafood (4/5)(188PHP)This yellow rice is good for 2-3 persons. It had a unique texture since there were small pieces of dry fish making it crunchy. And despite having dry fish in it, it wasn't too salty. All dishes were brought to us fast (maybe because there were only a few customers). They were served hot.Le Family seems unnoticed while it sits beside well-known restaurants at the top floor of SM Aura Premiere. I'm afraid they might close down soon due to low number of customers. I think there's something wrong as to how they market the restaurant. Although it's a Vietnamese restaurant, it doesn't seem like one based on the interiors. First timers of Vietnamese cuisine can get confused. They should've made it more traditional Vietnamese. Moreover, the restaurant name itself is also not Vietnamese and it's rather mixed French and English. We were a huge group but props to the waitstaff because all our needs were accommodated right away. I called to make a reservation and I was glad with the seats given to us. The place is spacious.

Dined-in @ Lê Family or Nhà Lê in SM Aura today. It is a vietnamese restaurant serving different types of vietnamese dishes with a modern twist. The food was great. The ambiance was nice. I like their display of lights. Overall, it was quite a good experience to dine here.

First we had the pomelo salad. The pomelo was not of the sweet, high-grade quality so it was just so-so. Careful not to mix the salad too well. The fish sauce at the bottom can make it very, very salty. For mains, we had the BBQ fish and cauliflower & broccoli in garlic sauce. The fish was the red tilapia variant, and was kinda small relative to its menu price. It was OK though I would have wanted it to be a bit more BBQ'ed. I prefer the belly part to be more cooked and not soggy. Maybe the best dish was the cauliflower & broccoli. The garlic sauce was perfectly blended and the veggies were quite fresh. Each bite came with a nice "crunch" to it.Overall, the food was just so-so. Our bill was P850 and we found this a bit high for what we had. We finally decided to try this resto as it's the only one we hadn't tried in the top deck of Aura. Every time we passed by, it was never even half-full, indicating it's low popularity.

We happen to visit SM Aura for my niece's Global Art Competition and was having problems deciding on where to eat. We needed something for everything and everyone. We have kids, toddlers, picky eaters, senior citizens, and vegetarians. Plus, the long lines of restaurants during peak hours. We ended up at Le Family, which seems to cater for everyone.Le Family is a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant with nice interiors and costumed staffs. Due to it being spacious, it can only accommodate a few people. Price is ok, not on the expensive side. Here is what we ordered:Deep Fried Spring Rolls with Pork (Php178)Grade: 2/5I like that they use Vietnamese rice noodles as skin for the spring rolls, but it became so tough, even my fork find difficulty going through it. Since it is hard to chew, I can hardly taste it.Crispy Squid (Php260)Grade: 2/5Crispy indeed. The downside is that these squid rings are so rubbery.Prawn Stick (Php188)Grade: 3/53 pcs of mashed prawns forming an elongated meatball shape and attached to a sugarcane stick. Taste is not bad.Pomelo Salad (Php168)Grade: 4/5I read a lot of poor reviews about this dish beforehand, but tried it out anyway. This is a good appetizer. The juiciness of the pomelo, freshness of the shrimp, crunchiness of the nuts, texture of the ground pork, and the saltiness of the fish sauce gave a perfect combination. The only sad experience I had with this dish is that I was planning to give it to my mom as she is vegetarian. I asked them to remove the shrimp which they did. I didn't know there were ground pork in it, so I asked to remove them once I knew, and they refused telling me that the dish will not look pretty. I got irritated. My mom just doesn't want the hassle, so she ended up not eating it.Vietnamese Roasted Chicken with Sunny Eggs (Php230)Grade: 5/5Our family loves eggs, and I think it's the egg in the picture that attracted my dad in ordering this dish. But nevertheless, the chicken was tender and flavorful, and a sunny side up egg makes everything good.Noodle Salad with Beancurd (Php168)Grade: 3/5This is my mom's vegetarian dish which I had a chance to try with the leftovers. It is dry pho with fried beancurd strips, then sauced with fish sauce. It is like bihon guisado. The noodle is good. What I don't understand is the role of the beancurd there, aside from being a vegetarian protein. Its thick slice was a turn off while eating those silky noodles. If it's for crunch and protein, I would have liked it if they were cubed. Beef Soup Noodle Special (Php250)Grade: 4/5Noodle soup with everything beef...beef slices, beef balls, etc. My brother had this dish, and his comment is "normal beef noodle soup, but the soup is good".Chicken Noodle Soup (Php220)Grade: 5/5I love this dish! From the chicken to the pho to the soup, everything tasted great. The side vegetables and aromatics made the dish more flavorful. The soup was light and tasty at the same time. I also love the fact that the chicken was hainanese-style and sliced, unlike other Vietnamese restaurants where the chicken is flaked.Bread with Meat (Banh Mi) (Php210)Grade: 2/5I was surprised to see this huge sandwich when it was served. They serve the whole French bread and filled it with tons of colorful vegetables, ham, and barbecued pork and sauce. Taste wise, it is so-so. The problem with this sandwich is the bun. They used an entire French bread. Although huge in serving, it is a bit stiff. The Vietnamese uses French baguette with a version that is airy (the white part of the bread is almost gone and replaced with the filling, making the baguette wrapping the feeling. It is light, flavorful, and fun to eat. This version does not meet up its expectations. #yummiez
