As I live so close to this restaurant I come here quite often for their excellent draft beer on website however I’d never eaten here before so on my Birthday I thought we’d give it a try and I’m so glad I did the service was excellent and the food absolutely spot I had the Salmon pastries for Starter and the Steak for main my wife and son shared the snails and then had mussels and the Duck confit respectively. The special steak butter was wonderful as was everything else down to the wonderful dressing on the salad. When my son didn’t like the desert he chose they replaced it with something else with no fuss. They even returned my keys which I’d lost about a week earlier after accidentally leaving them here the fact that they knew they where mine is the sort of attention to detail you can expect from the service here.Essentially everything was as good as you’d expect a proper French Bistro to be Bravo l’entecôte

I've dined here 3x and it still won't be the last. Definitely our go to place for steak. The steak herb butter is the beeest. We have the steak every time we dine here. I think it's decently priced too as it is served with side salad unlimited fries. Both a pro and con that dishes are usually served within 30-40 minutes, quite a long wait if you're hungry but at least it means your food is cooked fresh. We've also tried the Tropez pasta, Salmon Rissotto and Oysters, which were all good too. Creme Brulee was forgettable. Things I hope they can improve on:   This particular girl server that has served us 2x already, I think her name is Anette? I find it intrusive that she always asks to clear the plates even when there is still food. It feels like we're being rushed to finish our meal. The other servers are much more accomodating though. The fries. Sometimes it's overcooked as you'll see in the photos. The salad too. Sometimes it's not seasoned well, sometimes it's good. Anyway, it's still our go to steak place. The steak is always always good.

Went here yesterday! I love their l’entrecote steak. It’s always a classic. The butter sauce is impeccable. Make sure to always order their THIN cut fries, much better than the fat ones. Split the 8 oz. steak and moules frites (mussels). Nice and fresh sauce, good with their homemade bread.South African wine “ribshack” was o.k. Kind of watery. We’ve been going here for Sunday lunches and special occasions since it opened and it’s a long time fave. Unfortunately they were redoing their kitchen so service took forever. Table before us got their order first, which was the same as ours (steak and mussels)... speed of service usually isn’t like this. Hope the service goes back to the usual soon!

The service is really bad, they placed wrong food and drinks on a lot of tables. The spirit that was served at my table that I drank a little from, was served again at another table after refilling. But the steak is good tho

We had our family dinner here last night. Arrived at 7pm and the waitress immediately took orders. After 30 mins only the raclette was served. We kept on asking for our food to be served but it took them more than 1 hour to serve the main courses — and mind you still not complete! After waiting for almost 2 hours we asked for our bill already and we decided to leave. Such poor service! Money paid was not worth it. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

There are restaurants and hotels that have their own vibe, their own rhythm, a soundtrack of their standards and quality. This usually comes with longevity, pedigree, and values that are never compromised. L’Entrecôte is one of them.A dish you’ll have in L’Entrecôte, perhaps their much-sought after L’Entrecôte Steaks, sizzling in its own juices and the herb butter, will taste exactly the same from the first time you’ve had it, up to the second, third, or maybe your 50th visit. That’s standard. Consistency. We go to a restaurant the first time as an explorer, to discover new horizons, never tasted before dishes, or renditions of some that we’ve known and loved. The second visit onwards, is the love of it, the memory it carries. Seldom are there restaurants that have this quality and virtue.Their Staff will welcome you by name, they remember you, your favourites, your likes and dislikes. Much like family. The movement is also much like home. Never rushed and stressful. Quick on their feet but relaxed. Much like a dance practiced over and over it becomes a habit. Like when we buss cheeks with long lost friends too.For almost 10 years now, I have been going to L’Entrecôte regularly. I order the exacty same things. Sometimes, Chef Martin Kaspar, the chef-patron, will entertain me with his new creations, albeit much connected still to the classics set by the gods of cuisine. But I know what I like, what I love, and I find it there.
