I was looking for a bagel shop that will remind me of my recent trip in the US. The only place I know that sells bagels in Manila is Starbucks, and theirs is okay, but they only have much choices on bagels and filling. I'm happy I found this place because they have some of the cream cheese flavors I like. I got the cream cheese with sun dried tomatoes and basil with my wholewheat bagel and it was good. I went there during Taguig day so I'm not sure how the parking is on a regular day. I find the place pleasant on the other side of Taguig. The bagels are worth the trek. I can't wait to go back.

Nothing fancy for me as of the moment. Just bagels and nothing much on display. Though it tasted good especially with the classic cream cheese spread which is very generous.

Updating my review  because of more recent experiencesI've been going here at least once a month before but recently not so much because of how much the cream cheese to bagel ratio has changed. It's barely enjoyable these days because of how little cream cheese the staff puts in the bagel....

I tried the blueberry cream cheese and it was so delicious! Probably the best bagel I have ever had! Perfect if you want a filling breakfast meal.

First ever Cream Cheese store I visited in the metro and I was so happy . Felt like I was in New York. I love how Plain the flavor of their cream cheese. Try Bacon and Cheddar & SunDried Tomato and oil. Lovely sandwiches & Waldorf Salad is a must try, too.

L.E.S. Bagels, though not located in the most convenient place, is definitely worth visiting (regularly). The place is quite small and can fit only about 10 people comfortably because seating is only on the 2nd floor and the deli like ambiance gives off a very New York vibe. Their menu consists of New York Style Freshly baked bagels with a variety of cream cheese combinations (savory or sweet). You can opt to create your own bagel combination or choose from the available bagel sandwich or specialty sandwich combinations. They also have a small variety of freshly baked desserts like home made Oreos, muffins, doughnuts and brownies. They have a wide range of Bagels you can choose from (i.e. Plain, Sesame Seed, Garlic, Blueberry, Chocolate, etc.) and bagels are only P40 a piece – you can either have them serve it to you with the cream cheese already in (they put the ungodly amount we all wish we could do for ourselves without feeling any guilt) or you can get the cream cheese separately and spread it on by yourself (they say a small container is good enough for 3-4 bagels). The sandwiches range from P200-P400 and are filling enough to be shared. I always choose to have the bagel with the cream cheese already in because I am a huge fan of the ungodly amount they lather on!What I have tried so far:White Sesame Seed Bagel with Jalapeno Cheddar Cream Cheese – I wasn’t expecting much since these are pretty generic flavors but after being pleasantly surprised by the amount of cream cheese, I was also happy to find out that the nutty flavor of the sesame seed blended so well with the peppery taste of the jalapeno. I wouldn’t jump right into saying that the jalapeno flavor was spicy because the cheddar and the cream cheese softened the blow.Black Sesame Seed Bagel with Bacon Cheddar Cream Cheese – This was nothing special. I couldn’t really taste the bacon so it felt like I was just eating a regular bagel with cream cheese.Black Sesame BagelBLACK SESAME SEED BAGEL WITH BACON CHEDDAR CREAM CHEESEGarlic Bagel with Sun dried Tomato and Olive Cream Cheese - Absolutely to die for! Though the Garlic Bagel will leave you with garlic breathe, it is definitely worth it. All the different flavors pulled together really well even though they are strong flavors on their own; this has to be my favorite so far!Everything Bagel with Sun dried Tomato and Basil Cream Cheese – I wasn’t too fond of this one because the Basil flavor was a little overpowering. I thought getting it on an Everything Bagel would sort of somehow balance the flavors out but still, the Basil flavor was very distinct. Still, it wasn’t bad at all and I would definitely get this again but maybe on a Sesame Bagel next time.Blueberry Bagel with Apple Cinnamon Cream Cheese – I am not a fan of sweet bagels (or sweet cream cheese) but this one took me by surprise. The flavors blended together so well that it actually felt like you were being given a nice, warm hug by someone that you love. Such homey flavors deserve to be enjoyed in bed while it’s raining outside!Espresso Brownie – This brownie had the perfect amount of espresso and chocolate, it was also very moist and would have honestly been best with a tall glass of cold milk! Whether or not you’re a coffee lover, you will surely fall in love with this particular Espresso Brownie.Pumpkin Muffin – It was sweeter than I expected and was a little on the dry side. I wouldn’t recommend this.CREAM CHEESE SELECTIONThere are still many different cream cheese combinations I would love to try out like the LOX cream cheese (their best seller), as well as the vegetable, caramelized onion raisin, and blueberry combinations. I feel like I have not even scratched the surface of the possible combinations this place has to offer and I am very excited for my next visit! (I already know what I’m going to order – an everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese!)As a firm believer in cream cheese, I urge you to head over to L.E.S. Bagels as soon as you can so you can experience the cheesy New York goodness for yourselves!

the perfect to eat bread in the morning. It opens at 6am to serve you fresh bagels. I got the garlic bagel partnered with bacon cheddar cream cheese. I requested the staff to toast the bagel. I waited for the food to be served. After I took a bite, I was definitely hooked! the cream cheese was so creamy and it definitely compliments the garlic bread. We are definitely goinh back to try their other specialty bagels.

Went a little before 10 on a Monday morning and the selection was very small. 4 types of bagels and like 5 types of cream cheese? I got an everything bagel with the lox cream cheese, which was decent, but I should've asked for more lox. My dad got the addicted sandwich and he liked it, though it was a little too much for breakfast.

We decided to have a quick snack after a long day. And then we passed by here and chose this place to spend our time with. L.E.S. Bagels is located at Upper McKinley Road. Its part of the cluster of restaurants towards the left side of the road near Venice Piazza. L.E.S. means lower east side. Strategically displayed at the counter are an assortment of pastries. Aside from the alfresco area, they also have a second floor overlooking the first floor. I like the effective usage of the small space allotted to the restaurant. The choice of color and furniture didn't make the place feel cramp at all. Windows were wide and they also have decorative white plates on one wall.We ordered macaroni, a bagel with garlic cream cheese and vanilla rose for drinks. We stayed on the second floor. But before we head up, we pick up some glass of water since it was a self service counter. Their water has a touch of lemon. It was so great but for others who had just tasted it for the first time might find it awful. For the bagel, their spread was thick and ample and not a pathetic thin line. Their bagel was really delicious and filling. The macaroni, I find it really bad. It was too oily and it doesn't taste right. And for the vanilla rose, I didn't expect a lot from it, yes it tasted like a flower.I love L.E.S. Bagels! They really offer great bagels, though they have a bad macaroni! Haha If I lived in that area, I would enjoy having a morning cup of coffee and a bagel by the alfresco area and observe the street wake up.

Best bagel shop in town! I would always drive up to McKinley Hill, whenever the bagel craving kicks in. My personal favorite is the Black Pepper Truffle Cream Cheese partnered with Sesame Bagel. The 2nd ebst choice is Lox. You can ask the staff to taste the cream cheese to see what you really fancy. The guys who served me are all very knowledgeable and would recommend which bagel would taste best with the cream cheese. Bagels are served with a slather of your choice of cream cheese. I also like their own version of Oreo. Try it. Love this place. Perfect for alone time (since mckinkey hill itself is not very populated) or catching up with a friend over coffee and bagels.
