Food is good but service is really poor. Waitress forgot one order and got another one wrong. Hope you can train your staff better because that would make this restaurant super great.

Might be a one off considering some good reviews from other people, but here are my two cents:Ambience- I didn't expect a Japanese restaurant to be playing Top 100 songs on Spotify with ads. Reminded me of the playlist at the gym (especially when the ads part came out).- The place was small but not well kept, especially the pathway leading toward the restroom.Menu- The clear book style menu was not something I expected given its contents were priced along the range of 400-900 php per dish. Covering of the sold-out/phased out items with paper and tape (not to mention the change of prices) is usually something a high-end carinderia would do.Food- Spicy tuna salad - seemed inauthentic vs what I would expect from a typical spicy tuna salad because it was too sweet! Did they use sandwich spread instead of Japanese mayo? Who knows (asked the staff but was given no response)- Grilled Saba (Mackarel) - the skin was burnt. The meat was quite tough (i love Mackarel and I am familiar with what the texture is supposed to be), which means it was probably overcooked.Staff- Politely asked the staff what they used for the spict tuna salad (given that it was shockingly sweet). They gave no response except to say that the chef who prepared it was too busy.Overall, the value for money simply isn't there in many aspects. Given its high price point vs other good (or even better) Japanese restaurants out there, I'm still not convinced what I'm paying a premium for.

One of the greatest secrets in BGC. This hole in the wall restau serves great sushi. Their head chef is an old Japanese grandpa who always greets the customers.

My boyfriend and I always get salmon, hamachi, and saba sushi. The sushi rice is really good and the fish taste very fresh. For the quality you're getting, the price is ok. The keizo roll (California maki topped with more kani, tempura batter bits, and Japanese mayo) is one of their best sellers. I'd go here for the sushi more than for the other food items on the menu. I've tried their tempura, katsudon, and curry as well. I enjoyed the curry the most out of those 3.

Everything in this restaurant is just so good! I can't believe it took me months to finally eat at this unassuming place. The Japanese Man has been asking me for weeks, and so one night I agreed. Upon ordering, they serve you complimentary otoshi (which is so yummy, by the way, really gets your appetite going). For starters, we had kappa maki, dashi tamago yaki, and nasu nibitashi. For mains, I ordered yasai tempura teishoku set, which was not in the menu but I added Php140 to get the set, while the Man ordered unidon that came with a complimentary miso soup. When the yasai tempura plate came out I was absolutely surprised with the huge serving size! Same with the unidon, which for the price is quite a bargain! Needless to say, everything was so delicious. For dessert, instead of two scoops of ice cream, I ordered the small tub for take-away. There were a lot of delicious flavors, such as wasabi light, miso sake, green tea, blue cheese, and butter cream, but I decided on the seaweed ice cream (Php300). It had bits of nori on top and was so good, weirdly good! After eating, we were stopped by the friendly, chain-smoking, Visayan- and Tagalog-speaking Japanese chef, Yoshi (or Yasu, the Man can't remember his name hehe). They talked for a good ten minutes before finally deciding to say oyasuminasai. Great service, good food, reasonable prices. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. Definitely coming back to this place!
