I have already tried this place 3 times. Doesn't get old. Perhaps it's the quality of their food as well as the location being along the Fort Strip beside bars and clubs. It's a breath of fresh air to find a Japanese restaurant amidst the wild and zany neighborhood. The latest dish I had was Kaisen Chirashi-Don... which is Salmon, Tuna, Kani, Tamago, and Uni on Sushi Rice. I highly recommend this.

After been stuck in traffic for a number of hours, we decided to have a snack at this resto. We ordered California Maki (195PHp), Ika Yakitori (125PHp) and Butabar Yakitori (95PHp). Good spot for drinking with Japanese pulutan.

It was my first time here and i guess i will never come back again. They have many choices of food and cheaper price but when the food was served, i wasnt happy at all. The chicken has still blood and so raw. I didnt order for a raw chicken. Plenty of insects also inside the place and staffs are always not around. Disappointed for trying this place.

You have no idea how difficult it is to park in BGC during weekdays. I almost gave up, about to exit fort strip's parking when I spotted a blank space fronting Katsu. To be fair to them, I dined in. While I was sipping their warm and delicious Miso Soup filled with wakame seaweed and tofu, I was suddenly requested to rush to a meeting nearby. I left and promised to come back 40 minutes after. Interesting that they trusted me. I did go back and continued my Japanese meal. Since I was not in the mood for fried food (i rarely do), I got one of the best Oyakodon (chicken with egg) and a platter of Yasai Itame (sautéed mixed vegetables) here. It was not their specialty but it tasted like they were. Katsu has been around for awhile in this strip. They are surrounded with night life and still survives. This spot also serves a range of Japanese grilled meats.

Average Japanese resto that also offeres Yakitori. I was disappointed when they told me that they have no Uni after I ordered and got my Chirashi, they didn't try to replace it either, I needed to ask for it.Yakitori eggplant, didn't like it at all, maybe because I like my eggplant mushy.Plus points for their Spicy Tuna Salad.

Had a very late night dinner with my HS friends here last week after having a few drinks at a restaurant nearby. We arrived around quarter to 1 which is almost closing time so i think they were kind of irritated that they have to serve us lol but they were still nice and all smiles so yay! My other friends were hungry so we ordered a lot! We got the dynamite roll, ebi tempura, steamed gyoza, crispy fried oysters, grilled pork belly, grilled ika(squid) and chicken teriyaki. The dynamite roll (crispy salmon skin with cream cheese) was my favorite! Grilled ika was a bit tough and chewy and it felt like it wasn't like a real squid. Grilled pork belly was cooked and flavored really well! Everything else tasted normal. :)Luckily, they have this buy 1 take 1 promo on their cocktails (should be the same kind) so the drunken master in me ordered the Lychee Amaretto and Tequila Sunrise even though i just had beer before the dinner lol. I liked the Lychee Amaretto so much I'm coming back for it!!

The food was um-okay. Nothing special than the other Katsu restos' but the large portions of their servings. Maki was thicker btw. And the price was, wow. We had service charge and VAT at 500php that looks like another set of meal good for one more person.

Food was okay, nothing special. Serving time takes toooooo long and take note that their published rates on the menu are still subject to VAT and SC.

So excited to have found an alternative Jap resto (near the office) for my Spicy Tuna Salad and California Maki fix!😁 I would say it's even better than Jipan's, and at par with John and Yoko. A friend and I ordered the Spicy Tuna Salad (which they call Spicy Tuna with Tempura Flakes), California Maki, Negima, Butabara, a cup of rice, and Asahi beer. It was a hearty dinner but quite expensive--our total bill was a little more than PHP1,000. Ambiance was a bit dark with red lights. I'd take the bright and breezy feel anytime, but this is understandable, given that this is a Japanese bar and restaurant. Service was good. What I appreciated was that even though my friend and I stayed long l after we finished our food, they didn't make us feel like we already had to leave. Overall, it was a nice dining experience 😊Update—ate here recently and was slightly disappointed. Ordered the Spicy Salmon with Tempura Flakes and the serving of the fish was like 3 mouthfuls and the rest were fillers and vegetables. The Yakitori we ordered were still good though. Some of their staff were also snotty. 😐

Out from the office on a busy Friday night with a lot of people in the more known restos in BGC and we are already hungry. We saw that katsu was not that yet crowded so we give it a try and it was a great experience. Staffs were nice we were able to immediately have a table for 10 and were attentive to our needs. The food was also good, it depends if you have a big appetite but I think their servings are enough to make you full. Most of us ordered katsudon and I think we were satisfied with the taste of their katsudon. Price was also reasonable given that it is located at fort strip and they also serve alcoholic beverage if you want to chill out.Unfortunately I wasn't able to take pictures of the food due to poor lighting in our area. I prefer other jap restos but if im in the area and craves for good japanese food then I'll drop by here at Katsu :)
