We had mussel putenesca and schublig sandwich for lunch. We like the ambience, it is casual yet classy.  The portion size of the pasta is a little bit small, and I was a bit worried when the shells of four of the mussels did not open - people say this often means that the meat inside is not cooked or bad, but after the waiter brought the dish back from the kitchen, and I ate the clams that they opened, they were ok. The schublig sandwich looked good, and tasted ok. The texture of the bread could be improved, though.

My sister dragged me here and told me to try their Duck Fat Fries. I was hesitant at first but since this is one of their most famous items in their menu I gave it a go. The "smoky-gamey" flavour you get from the duck fat lifted a relatively boring starch to another level. No wonder this place's patrons fell in love with it. It went very well with the cold pint I had.For main, I had their Paprika Broiled Salmon with spinach risotto and salmon cracklings. My sister had the Pan-Roasted Thyme Chicken. I just got off from a 10-hour flight and I needed something heavy. When our food arrived, I was quite disappointed at first because the serving was not as big as the ones I got used to when dining-out overseas. The salmon was nice, but I fell in love with the spinach risotto. Honestly, I've never had spinach risotto before. Combining two of my most favourite things in the world (risotto and spinach -- I absolutely love Palak Paneer a.k.a Spinach + Cottage Cheese Masala) blew my mind. I've been trying to recreate it, but I haven't found the right mix yet.The place is very cozy, a bit quiet for a pub (can I call it a pub?), and the staff was very friendly. They didn't give a sht if my hair was flat and greasy or if I smell like an airplane cabin. I looked derelict compared to the other diners that night. But enough of my ramblings. Will I be going back to this place? Sure, why not? I would love to try the other items in their menu. Is the place and food mind-blowing & revolutionary? Not that much. I just have a problem with the serving. For a relatively expensive place, they should add more. But at the end of the day, we just need to accept that we're not only paying for the food, but for the maintenance of the place as well. Besides, in order to experience the peak of eating, you need to involve all 5 senses.

Never Again. I was thinking of giving a rate of either 1 or 1.5 (.5) for the ambiance supposedly, but too much mosquitos who seemed to enjoy poking our legs. As of the food, I ordered Smoked Bacon Silog - Seriously I dont think its edible! Too salty! I ended up eating my friend's food which is fried tilapia (their version of fish and chips), but suprisingly, this one had no taste at all. its as if they've used all the salt on my bacon and nothing left to use to other foods. Definitley not worth the price. I seriously wont recommend this restaurant, and even discourage people to even try.

May 27 and 28Had lunch and dinner. I got there schublig sandwich for lunch. Nothing great. I would not order it again. Dinner - we were 3. We had Caesar salad and fries. The fries is more bark then bite. Nothing great. Salmon and the osso buko. Nothing great also. But both my companion enjoyed it. Dessert was nothing great also. The only thing that I enjoyed which is worth going back is there oysters. It was very good. Apart from that oyster I would not go back. Generally I would say I would rate the resto a 5/10 expect for the oyster which I would give it an 9/10Service was 8.5So if your not really a foody then I would not go to this resto. But it's hard to resist the oysters. I

Tried lunch here, started with soup of the day cream of broccoli, it was nice with proper seasoning and good to taste. For mains tried the Chicken Schnitzel with brown rice and my friend tried the Beef Bulgogi. The Chicken was nice with a cream sauce, with brown rice it tasted well, the Bulgogi was little spicy. The ambience and feel of the place is pleasing and enhances the overall food experience.
