(First photo was just last night. And the 2nd photo was my 2nd time)Third time dining here. My first 2 were really good. And the third is disappointing. They now have smaller servings and service was quite slow too 😒

One of my favorites in the city. Bold, vibrant flavors and bomb drinks. 👌 Their beetroot curry has to be one of the most flavorful vegetarian dishes I've ever had!

the food names and look intrigued us so much so we went there to try it. we were pretty early around 11am cos we thought it might go full house but it didnt. well, food costs so much for a certain portion of food :(twice-steeped chicken -- in my translation is hainanese chicken -- 3.0/5 -- low rating cos nothing really special beetroon curry -- i didnt get the taste so much, a bit blant to me but its something new and i actually "liked it" haha -- 4.0/5bbq pork belly -- this looks normal compared to the first 2 but this was my fave, it tasted something new -- 5/5soft tofu -- ive tried better ones in chinese restaurants but it had a sauce at the side that tasted like cream with truffle i dont understand..but it was good (tho mej nakakaumay if it was too much, it will make you feel like you'll get highblood also but it was good lol) -- 4.8/5the drinks was ok - 3.5/5coming back, maybe if friends would want to try but on my own maybe not anymore :(

everything we ordered was so yummy, most especially the paneer❤️ it was a catchup meeting of old friends and they gave us enough space and time to chat, take photos, laugh our heads off, and just relax. the staff was attentive to our needs and were quick to respond.

I developed my fondness for Peranakan food during the time I lived in Malaysia. The Peranakans are descendants of the Chinese who immigrated to the Malaya peninsula and adopted Malay lifestyle between the 15th and 17th centuries. The male members are called "Babas" and, the females, "Nyonas". They have flourished their own unique culture that houses a variety of aspects, including language, food, costume, etc. This much-talked restaurant serves food that has a Peranakan base and other Southeast Asian infusions. My orders:Salad: Poached Prawns with Banana (Tree) Heart. The dressing had a very obvious Thai-style sweet-and-sour-and-spicy taste.Main: Fried Duck Sambal Matah. I asked for the rice to be replaced with Nasi Lemak (coconut milk rice) in order to have a more Malaysian sensation.Wine: Philippe Loquineau, Domaine de la Plante d'Or, 2015, White, Cheverny, Loire. The mouth-filling roundness, vibrant fruit, crispy acidity and briny minerality of this wine made it stand firmly against the pungent flavours of the food.My second visit was extremely satisfying. The Fried Chicken Wings with Fermented Tofu Sauce was not only creative but also palatable. The Chicken with Sambal Matah was, I think, not comparable with the duck version. However, it was a tasty dish on its own stand. Muscat from Alsace perfected the dining experience as its sharp acidity and briny minerality cut through the grease of the dishes while its fruit maintained its stance im front of the condiments.

The food was great! Fried Egg salad, pork belly and hainanese/steamed chicken were the top choices. Really flavorful, quite on the pricier side but serving size was ok. Just a tip though, if you're dining in near their closing time --- SKIP it for next time and come earlier! Their servers are quite eager to take away your plates FAST. Some of our plates and dishes were taken away without us getting asked first if we were done! (even if there were still food on our plate!?!) We were given the bill so we were distracted in checking our orders on the receipt, and the next thing we knew our plates were gone! Lol. So if you dont want to be rushed in finishing your food, i suggest go here at an earlier time, and be aware of when the servers approach your tables to get your plates!

The food at Hey Handsome made my heart sing. Beautiful, delicate flavours working in perfect harmony to create a taste sensation. Friendly service, attention to detail, eye catching presentation, excellent cocktails. An absolute must for anyone living in or traveling to Manila.

Finally tried Hey Handsome late December last year, I’ve been wanting to visit since they opened and glad to have finally tried them before 2017 ended, lol. My friends and I had the following:• BBQ Eggplant, Fish Kropek, Salted Egg• Beef Stir Fry, Baby Corn, Egg• Grilled Pork Belly, Thai Chili• BBQ White Fish, Ikan Bilis, CucumberThey serve Southeast Asian fusion cuisine, I was honestly lost on what to order as some of the items on the menu are quite unique. Though I enjoyed the BBQ Eggplant, Fish Kropek, Salted Egg entrée. I maybe a little biased because I love anything with eggplant and salted egg. It was super soft with the kropek added a nice crunchy contrast to the overall texture of the dish. Also loved the Beef Stir Fry, Baby Corn with Egg. This was the most “normal sounding” dish so I opted for this one. Haha! Beef was nicely cooked though there’s a papaya salad included, giving it a sour flavor. Oh, and everything was beautifully plated! 😍I’m mostly impressed with the dishes except for the fact that it kinda burns a hole in your pocket. They’re on the pricey side. 😔 But maybe that’s just me. It’s good to try it once, and MAYBE I’ll be back again once they change their menu. 👍🏻

The flavour of the food is good (I loved the salad) but we had an exceptionally bad service last week for lunch. It wasn’t even crowded and there was enough space for us, a group of ten. The chicken wings which was supposed to be our starter didn’t even arrive until some of the mains arrived. I say some because the mains arrived in tranches. What made it worse is that our order was incomplete. So it was about 1 hour or more of waiting time. Quite unhappy.

Food on point, terrible service. The girl at the reception looked like she’s going to bed with what she’s wearing, and she doesn’t know how to speak professionally to guests. You don’t really say, “Wait.” to guests for requests, right? I mean, there’s a better way to say it especially if you are in the food service industry. They messed up our reservation and wanted to move us to a different table despite the fact that we already have food on our table. How can you go wrong with an 11 pax reservation? The way it was handled in the beginning was wrong. The only server paying attention was the lady with the short pixie cut, i forgot her name. She did everything she could to fix the reservation, and took care of our requests. And i think the aircon wasn’t working that well. It would’ve been an excellent experience, service lang talaga needs improvement.
