Another restaurant that gets a perfect 5 for me. Already saw this when I went for coffee on another place but I always see it in Net Park BGC and always peaked my interest. I rarely get a chance to try it cause I'm always in a coffee meeting with clients or models. I got a chance to try it through an invite with website. It had a chill ambiance with it's interiors and it was moderately lit. It relies on the window light to fill the room and good for photos as well. We weren't able to take advantage of it since it was raining cats and dogs that day but I was able to take advantage of the bar light. We had tons of delicious food served to us the Tomato Bisque(P220), Poke Nachos (P495), Grind Chip and Dip (P295, favorite), Truffle Mac and Cheese(P350, another favorite), Nutty Black Chicken(P595), Grilled Hangar Steak (P795), The Best Waffle You've Ever Eaten(P295), Double Double (P595), Grind Bistro Burger and Vanilla Bean Milkshake (P240) . For the tomato bisque they serve us small mason jar cups containing the soup. True to it's name of "bisque" the tomato was rich and creamy coming from the sour cream like creme fraiche and the pesto. The Poke nachos was a mix of taro and sweet potato chips that had a dipping of ahi tuna, chili, local chevre, orange, wasabi tobiko and pico de gallo. We mixed all the ingredients to form the dip. Together with the dip, the nachos were splendidly delicious and unique compared to the other nacho appetizers I've tried. Next served up we're one of my favorites the Grind chip and dip, it was jalapeno spiced warm cheese dip with homemade crisps. The crisps looked like a mix of nachos, wanton chips, and thin potato chips. I love dipping the chips to the jalapeno dip, the crispiness and warm cheesiness dances in your mouth and the extra kick of jalapeno was perfect for the rainy weather. It wasn't too spicy for the jalapeno, so non-spicy friends can get in to the treat. The truffle mac and cheese was my biggest mistake that I forgot to take a photo of it as it's so good. That we started digging in the moment it landed. With sprinkles of home made bacon and an incredible amount of truffle that it's criminal. The mac and cheese has a gooey texture perfect for those IG worthy shots and an incredible amount of truffle umami taste that's out of this world.Don't be deceived by the Nutty Black Chicken for it's dark appearance. It was hard to identify which part of the chicken it is but I think it was filleted. It's deceiving juicy and moist inside You can taste the nuttyness of the dish through the hazelnut romesco. The Double double and Grind Bistro Burger was a staple delicious dish that caters to burger lovers everywhere. Locally sourced quarter lb. beef patties topped with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and onions. The beef was meaty and flavorful because of the locally corn fed beef, For dessert we had literally from the name itself "The BEST waffle you've ever eaten", fluffy on the inside crusty on the outside, what I imagined waffles in the tv would taste, in an actual real form. It was so tasty that I managed to eat almost a half for sharing. Last but not the least and my most favorite drink is the Vanilla Bean Milk Shake. Home made ice cream mixed with real vanilla pods blended to a milkshake delicious treat. It would deceivingly look like your ordinary cookies and cream milkshake but what you will get is an out of body experience of sweetness and delight from it.Favorites: Top1 truffle mac and cheese!~, Vanilla Bean Milkshake, Nutty Black chicken, Grind chip and dip, The best waffle ever. Food 5/5- No contest truly deserves a 5 star rating.Service 5/5- Servers were jolly and knowledgeable about the dish, they can even recommend you and guide you about the dish. Ambiance 5/5- ambient light perfect for ig, a chill vibe with a luxurious feel to it. Price 4.5/5- pricey for some of the items but good thing my favorites aren't that much

I've always wanted to eat here but never really had the chance to do so because of the mixed reviews and I thought the dishes here are too pricey and there's nothing really special. The website gods may have heard my prayers because I got invited by China to join them for lunch. Yayyy!!! 🤗 With the dishes served to us, I was proven wrong. Not only were they good (and oh so very yummy and comforting), they were also not that pricey. Why only now, Ruth??? 🤔🙄😅 Haha!! Anyway, better late than never! 😉 Because I really enjoyed lunch, I can already see myself going back here (especially when I'm in need of good comfort food). And I seriously cannot wait to bring the boyfriend and my family here for lunch or dinner. And also, I need to go back to try their breakfast!! EGGS BEN!!!!!! 😊😁PLACE 🏠 The place is nice and simple. It's kind of formal but not the super type. 😅 But it's not the fun type as well. Just nice and simple. Very chill and relaxing. Perfect for dates -- be it with your significant other, friends, or family. ☺️FOOD🍴OMG!!!!!! My favorites! 😍🏅🏆🧀 TRUFFLE MAC & CHEESE (350) - sooooo good and comforting!!!! If you like mac & cheese and if you're a fan of truffle, this is a MUST TRY DISH!! I swear, soooo good. 💛 🧀 GRIND CHIP AND DIP (295) aka the ULTIMATE OMG I CANNOT CHEESE DIP - at first, you'll consider this as the usual cheese dip but idk, this was also extremely good and comforting, just like the truffle mac & cheese. Not cloying and I personally liked the jalapeño bits and ground beef added. Sarap!! The group loved and enjoyed this dip. 👌🏼GOOD! 🤗🥈🔸 TOMATO BISQUE (220) warm and oh so comforting. The soup is creamy and tasty. If only I am a fan of tomato soup, this would definitely be up there in my OMG list. 😆🔸 GRILLED HANGER STEAK (795) - Not as tasty but still pretty good even without the gravy. Also, the beef was extra tender and was cooked just how I like it. 🔸GRIND BURGER (395) - they let us try the sliders and we all liked how cute they were! 😆 The bread was extra soft and tasty. However, the patty was just okay for me. It was not dry but not that juicy as well. Not super super tasty so you might want to ask for hmm ketchup?🔸 NUTTY BLACK CHICKEN (595) - surprisingly good chicken dish. This is a good and yummy example of "do not judge a dish by it's appearance". It's black because of the squid-ink batter but wait till you get to try the juicy tasty chicken. Pairs really well with the coleslaw. 😉🔸 MALTED VANILLA MILKSHAKE (225) - YUUUUMM! Not a fan of milkshakes but this was extra creamy, not super sweet, and just really good! First sip and I already texted my milkshake loving friend so she can try this ASAP!!! 🤗JUST OKAY. 😀🥉🔸 POKE NACHOS (495) - This was just okay for me. I love poke bowls and I love nachos. Really love them. But maybe I prefer them that way.. separately. The chips were good, a combination of taro, sweet potato, and potato chips. The tuna sashimi was also good, I just hope they added more! 😅 But overall, still a pretty good and interesting dish. 😉🔸 WAFFLE aka THE BEST WAFFLE YOU'VE EVER EATEN (295) - Good but nothing special, imo. The waffle was kind of soft and not the "crunchy but with the inside still soft" kind. Also, since I am not a fan of anything sweet, I liked the fact that this was not at all sweet. For sweet lovers, you might want to pour the syrup and spread the whipped cream all over this waffle. 😅🔸HALO HALO - good but nothing too extraordinary. The dulce de leche ice cream was good though. It's thick and creamy (and yummy! 😆).SERVICE - Very very excellent! 💯💯💯

Grind Bistro is relatively new in the BGC website scene. They occupy a space in the building next door - Net Park. I have been meaning to try Grind for quite sometime but my desire to go home after clocking out is far much greater than my curiosity. After x number of months, Reich goes to Grind. Nevermind the beastly weather, no one can stop me! I love how cozy the interior is. This is an ideal place where you can dine with your significant other. The lighting screams intimate and private. I am digging the high ceilings and the eclectic decor. Grind is an American Bistro and was conceptualized out of love for comfort food. What makes them stand out, you ask? Everything is made in house. Yes...everything. From the almond butter down to the iced tea. And get this? All of their ingredients is sourced locally. The owner, Cristina Carl is an advocate of supporting local farmers and has a high regard of the quality of their products. Yeah, i was surprised to hear that. It is not common for restaurants to use local ingredients (except for the farm to table ones). Hearing this made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. It is high time to show the world that PH is home to the most versatile ingredients and can keep up with ze other countries. I am glad that Grind is part of this movement. This is a sponsored event and our generous host served a feast! Tomato Bisque. The weather calls for a steaming bowl of tomato soup! I love how smooth the consistency of the soup is. Each spoonful is a wonderful mixture of flavours - the acidity from the tomatoes, the nuttiness from the pesto and the creme fraiche brings a lil tart to the soup.Poke Nachos. Whenever i dine out, i avoid nachos like the plague. Why? Well....there is nothing special about it and i can make this at home - a bag of Tostitos and some salsa is all it takes. Grind’s Nachos is something else. First, the nachos is made from Taro and Sweet Potatoes. Dem veggies are sliced razor thin and cooked to perfection. The poke lies on the bed of carefully arranged crispy chips. It is a wonderful concoction of Ahi Tuna, pico de gallo, goat cheese, sesame and fish roe. This is an explosion of different textures and flavours in my mouth. Grind Chips and Dip. I love chips of all shapes and sizes. East, West, North and South - i love em all. Add cheese in the equation then i will follow you till the end of time. This is how i feel about this dish. *mic drop*Truffle Mac and Cheese. In x number of years of being a website, i only tried two that completely blew me away. I was really glad that i am finally revising my mac and cheese list. I am changing the ranking and placing Grind’s on the top spot - numero uno baby! I absolutely love the perfect balance of cheese and truffle. Cheesy x Earthy is music to my ears. Trust me when i say that each spoonful is magical. Nutty Black Chicken. Once you go black, you can never come back. I know this doesn’t not relate to food but i kinda like my chicken black and nutty now and yasss.... i ain’t comin’ back boo. Don’t let the black discourage you, the way that the chicken is cooked is textbook. Juicy x flavourful. Condiments optional. Grilled Hangar Steak. Steak cooked medium rare, asparagus fries and french fries. I enjoy a decent steak meal every now and then. Grind delivered. The meat is cooked to a tee - juicy and seasoned perfectly. This falls under the just okay category. It was good but doesn’t not merit a deluge of adjectives. Double Double. I am seeing double 😳. Fresh off the oven brioche bun, Two juicy patties, cheese and some more cheese, a lil bacon and fresh green. A drizzle of some secret sauce here and there. And what do you get — The best burger in the metro. Refreshments x Sweets| Malted Vanilla Milkshake. I like my milkshakes unhealthy. None of those dairy free and sugar free wannabes. A milkshake should be rich, thick and creamy. Grind’s milkshakes is the shiz! I taste vanilla and malt in all its glory. Lemonade with Raspberry. I am a fan of anything citrus. This drink is right up my alley. This drink tastes like summer, makes you wanna do a an impromptu song number and Jon Cryer is in it. Yeah, just like a John Hughes flick. They also served: | The Best Waffle You've Ever Eaten. | Naughty Eggs Benedict. I am pretty certain that the waffle and eggs ben is as awesome as the other dishes they served. Overall, i was impressed with Grind. They knocked it out of the park! Everything they served is nothing but awesome. I love how they make simple dishes stand out. Excellent Job, Grind!

Grind. It could be figurative  (ie daily grind) or literal ie they grind their own corn-fed meat here and everything from the dip to the bread, etc are home-made.Here is a list of the  food we enjoyed yesterday at lunch  courtesy of Grind Bistro and website :Tomato Bisque P220 - perfect for the bed weather yesterday. The soup was rich, earthy and delicious. It made me crave for grilled cheese sandwich thoughPoke Nachos P495 - ahi tuna, chili and sesame, local chevre (goat's cheese), orange and wasabi tobiko (flying fish roe) , pico de gallo ( chopped tomato, onion, cilantro, etc) taro and sweet potato chips.Per Wikipedia, Poke is a raw fish salad usually served as an appetizer. Grind's Poke had a sweet citrusy pico de gallo.   The combination of all the elements especially the ahi tuna and chevre was wonderful and was quite refreshing on the palate. The taro and sweet potato chips  were a delight providing the texture to the beautiful salad.  The presentation was fun and whimsical  . It looked like a burst of happiness  on a gloomy day.Grind Chip and Dip P295 -  Where the Poke Nachos brought out my inner poet (hahaha), the Grind Chip and Dip jolted me from my  musings with its  no-nonsense presentation. As is where is but that is not to say less delicious than the Poke Nachos. In fact, its cheese dip lured with its rich yellow color. And when we finally  ruined its serene surface with the home made crisps, there was no turning back until we' ve wiped it all out .  Gone in 60 seconds I think hahaha.Cheese are locally sourced btw from Davao.Naughty Eggs Benedict P395 - Now this is literally sunshine on the plate which we badly needed yesterday on account of  the gloomy vibe and heavy downpour outside. Unfortunately, we were not able to taste this. More reason for us to come back though :)Truffle Mac and Cheese with home made Bacon P350 -- I guess we were all cheese fiends because the moment we took  our first bite, there was no stopping us until we wiped the plate clean . Seconds please hahahaNutty Black Chicken P595- Black tempura, hazelnut romesco, sweet chili sauce. The chicken was so black from the squid ink , I can not for the life of me discern which part of the chicken it was until it was sliced.  It was a unique dish. Ive never eaten a black chicken before not counting the real black chicken from the soup of King Chef Seafood in Banawe (check out my review in website for that).Honestly,  I'm still at odds about it. Either you like it or you dont. I know I liked that it was surprisingly moist. I guess I was looking for layers and layers of flavor. Quite an intriguing dish.Grilled Hangar Steak P795 with french fries, crispy asparagus fries. I loved both french fries and asparagus fries. Crispy and yum. The steak was juicy. The gravy was delicious. The portion was just   right. The Best Waffle You've Ever Eaten P295  Belgian Style with whipped cream, powdered sugar and real maple syrup. It was crunchy on the outside and quite soft and fluffy inside. Order this with their house cured bacon P395                                                                                                                                                           Double double P595 - Double patty, double cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and onion. Two words. Doubly Delicious. The corn fed beef was meaty juicy and flavorful. The brioche was freshly baked . The home made bacon provided another rich layer of flavor .Our piggery would love this.                                                                                         Vanilla Bean Milk Shake P240 -  so gooooooood. From real vanilla bean pods, they made their own home made ice cream. The result was this white heaven in  a glass.                                                                                                                                          Ambiance :  I loved the high ceiling., the chairs of different sizes colors and make, the glass wall. I loved the hand painted (?) hand crank grinder on one wall. Do not forget to visit their restroom. It was pristine and had some fun quirky touchesService. Very good.Price : A bit high on some items but hey considering the quality of the ingredients which were all home made and the fact that  they were delicious, it is value for money.                                                                                                                     Definitely coming back with the piggery :)

I've been seeing Grind Bistro in Net Park BGC but never really had the chance to visit. I would see their space packed during dinner time but barely full during lunch. We've had the chance to visit their other branch in SM Aura but I was not totally pleased with the overall experience. Good thing I believe in second chances!
