He passed by Cupcakes by Sonja to get 2 of my favorite flavours:Salted Caramel - I love butter, caramel and flavours, whether in desserts or savory foods, where saltiness and sweetness are present. This is a perfect little delight of a cupcake that never fails to make me smile.Peanut Butter Nutella - waaahhhh! Nuff said, peanut butter + Nutella, heaven!I cannot choose between them which I like best but all I can say is eating both of them simultaneously was a great idea! Both cupcakes are complementary to each other.I couldn't really say though that I'm truly fine today. Deckard brought home these cupcakes because he knows what I'm going through right now. Another one in my side of the family has moved on. It's starting to look like a cosmic joke or a tragedy. Probably if I were younger I'd start questioning my faith in God. But I choose to believe still that there is a purpose for everything, that nothing happens in God's world by mistake.I choose to be grateful. These women whom I love so much, they have taught me many things. There is sorrow but I know they'd want me to keep going. So I take a bite of my cupcake and remember all the sweet memories I have of them.

Lively place to indulge your sweet tooth!Peppermint Fudge Cupcake was good, very minty topping. Supreme Chocolate Salted Caramel Cake is excellent. Rich, moist chocolate cake with lovely salted caramel. Gives a wonderful sweet and salty taste

Their cupcake is sooooo good! The only flavor I’ve tried is the red velvet. It is filling. Not too sweet with a good dollop of cream cheese frosting! I’ll definitely come back to try out other flavors. Btw, when we got there, only a few flavors were on display. Maybe it’s because around 7pm. I am not sure if they are already sold out at that time.

I've got a thing for cupcakes. I'm not ashamed to admit it. And everyone knows that Cupcakes by Sonja is perhaps the best place in the Manila for cupcakes (although, my lovely friend, KC isn't far behind - and that's on self study and sheer passion alone, mind you). After dropping by Krispy Kreme for some take out during day two of Schatzi's day out, Rina and I walked Schatzi to Serendra with the intent of heading straight to the basement parking where we had parked, and head off home.

One of the few spots in Serendra open today. It’s lok a ghost town in here during the Holy Week. We got a vanilla cupcake for my daughter, who said she enjoyed her cupcake, but mostly just ate the frosting. We got a rainbow cake for her birthday. The cake is not that perfect, you can see it caving in the middle. Hoping it’s not dry when we eat it. The last one I tried in the Megamall branch was not as moist._______Update: Ate the cake the following day and it was still moist. But maaaaan, it was sickly sweet. Like only kids would appreciate. I

This is a cute little place to come to satisfy a sugar craving. I actually came here in the morning with my daughter and we just shared a red velvet cupcake and iced tea.My first choice was a donut but we were told they didn't have any. But the cupcake was rich and delicious and moist. Because it is so sweet, one was really enough for me. The iced tea was also sweet but I liked that I could taste the fresh lemon in it.

Another “Cupcakes by Sonja” favorite cake of mine (aside from the “Oh Fudge” I previously posted) is this - warning long name - “Reversed Supreme Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake.” Moist chocolate cake and creamy (not too sweet) salted caramel buttercream. What’s not to love! 😋 Even better is their combo promo of any slice of cake plus a latte, cappuccino or hot choco for only ₱190. The slice of cake alone, in my case was already ₱150 so technically the coffee was just ₱40 (instead of paying full price of ₱135). 👌🏼I didn’t give a perfect score though because, although airconditioned, 1) the store was warm, 2) they provided service water upon request but they had no ice, and 3) the counter table was dirty even though there weren’t any other customers inside (staff should always clean up thoroughly after customers leave) and 1 out of only 3 stools inside was wobbly. But still giving it an almost perfect rating because of the quality of the food and the value for money of their drink & pastries combo. 😊

Love love cupcakes by Sonja. The whole family does. We love how their cupcakes are moist and how they ate topped with generous dollops of pretty-pastel-colored frosting.Bought a couple while here last Sunday. Is it just me or were the frosting lesser than usual and cupcakes themselves were smaller.They do taste divine still

A friend and I suddenly found ourselves with some time on our hands while in Serendra yesterday morning, so we decided to break our fast at Cupcakes by Sonja. This store was Manila’s first ever cupcake store, opened by Sonja Ocampo to bring the cupcake experiences she had in New York to our shores.
