Crepes are underrated desserts that deserve their share of the spotlight. I guess most Filipinos overlook this versatile treat because its fancy presentation makes it look expensive. I'm glad that Crazy Crepes has priced their products to be more accessible to everyone. Before my Mom moved abroad, she would regularly get the late night munchies and I would be the designated driver. One of our favorite midnight haunts was the (now closed) Crepes & Creme at BGC. I haven't had a crepe from that franchise since my Mom left because she's not here anymore to treat me and it's too expensive for a regular Juan like me.Though not as tasty as C&C, Crazy Crepes satisfies my discerning sweet tooth. Crepes are not at the top of my list of favorite desserts, but I make it a point to buy from Crazy Crepes whenever I see one as a matter of principle. I am scared that they might close or raise their prices, and then other regular Juans will not have the opportunity to try a crepe. I normally buy from their Trinoma or Greenhills branch. This was my first time to eat at their SM Aura branch. The staff wasn't too attentive or even nice. I paid for an upsized crepe but it was the same size as my daughter's regular one. I had a custard-based mango banana crepe, my daughter ordered a strawberry mango ice cream crepe. Nothing fantastic, but they hit the spot. What I really like is the price. They have a lot of items on the menu that are below 100 pesos.

It was one of those slow nights. When I have that, I invite people to meet to eat. Sometimes in an instant and last night, in 3 hours notice, I dragged a friend to hop to 4 restaurants in SM Aura. Our dessert was simple after having a hefty meal. We passed by this stall and went back to it. I guess its the well lighted and yummy displays. It wasn't complicated but it hits you. We had a crepe customized to share. Three ingredients that never fails- mango, almonds and yummy Nutella. Their crepe wrap was perfectly thin to balance everything out. And how convenient, you crepe while walking, wrapped and secured in the palm of your hand. Til, just add Php 20 for a larger wrap.

After my sinful Sbarro Chicago Deep Dish lunch, I craved for something sweet and in less than a minute, I found myself looking at some crepes. Hello, Crazy Crepes!I've never tried its crepes before. The first thing I noticed was its affordable prices. You could get your crepe fix for only PHP85! Not bad at all. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻I decided to go for Strawberry Vanilla (PHP105) as I like my crepe with ice cream. 🍦🍓The server asked if I would like to upsize my crepe and just add PHP20 but I said no given that my pants reminded me that there was not much space left for dessert. I got my Strawberry Vanilla crepe after a short wait and... it was a midget crepe. 😅 No wonder it was really affordable. The strawberry slices were not enough to recreate one strawberry. But it was fresh and had a nice tangy yet sweet taste that complemented the vanilla ice cream. The crepe itself was nothing out of the ordinary. I was surprised though that there were corn flakes at the bottom for crunch. But I got to that part a bit too late and there was only the crepe left to go with it. 🌽❄️

My baby brother was the one who saw the Crazy Crepes stall and, of course, their display of delicious crepes attracted him. He ordered their Mango Crumble Ice Cream Crepe. It had been a while since I've tasted any ice cream crepe so I was quite looking forward to try one again. Somehow, however, I did not enjoy this as much as I remember enjoying the other ones, but still it was good. I just think there was too much whipped cream in it. Other than that, it was good.
