Best Japanese curry in town, hands down.It can be hard to choose what to order because the menu is overwhelming. But I do have some recommendations - the items we’ve been ordering pretty much once a week for the past few months (I know, we’re obsessed)Chicken cutlet with cheese - I recommend you request to separate the cutlet (this goes for the pork, too) to make sure it doesn’t get soggy from sitting in that delicious curry sauce for too long. The pork cutlet used to be my go-to but nowadays I prefer the chicken because it has less fat and is also (hopefully!) healthier. But then I make up for that by adding in an order of cheese. Yum.Cheese hamburg with mushroom - cheese really is the recurring theme here. It tastes amazing paired with the savory hamburg and mushroomsOther favorites in our rotation include the beef curry and thin-sliced beef curry. Both are cheaper but smaller servings compared to the other proteins on the menu

Coco Ichi was first introduced to me by my mother-in-law when we went to Japan. I immediately fell in love with it. I never imagined that you can serve curry like that. 😅 I was happy when I learned that there is one in BGC. The place is nice, big dinning space and the food tastes authentic. My go to order is the Shrimp Cutlet with tartar sauce and the Cheese Hamburger.

Being the reputable katsu-curry chain it is, CoCo does not disappoint. Amazing how the execution of food and the service standards are very identical not just across Manila branches but even between chains in Tokyo and Taipei. A sign of a truly seasoned and experienced establishment and brand. Service is streamlined, portion is generous, food is good and delivers at value for your money. No complaints! The restaurant group who is handling this chain is doing a very good job 👏🏽

Fried Chicken Salad, Pork Cutlet Omelette Curry and some Naan Bread on the side! Oh man did we underestimate their serving size. We were so full and our tummies surely happy. I'm a huge fan of naan and it went so well with the curry. Salad was so good too. Curry sauce was great but the katsu could've been better in my opinion. Still I enjoyed our meal.●●●●○ 4/5Huge portions

For the love of all things japanese! 🇯🇵 Here we go! So we tried this Japanese Curry place for lunch today. First of all, I think curry is an acquired taste because it lingers for a while after you eat it. Anyways, i was excited when the plate hit our table the plating was very simple and looked very appetizing. I ordered the "Pork Cutlet Omelette Curry". You can choose from level 1-10 of how spicy you want your curry to be. Ofcourse I only tried Level 1 😋 It had a kick but wasn't enough for me to ask for lots of water and look for ice cream 🤣 The waitress even said that Level 4 was like 8 times level 1! Scared me. Lol. The taste of their curry was a bit sweeter than ours and had herbs that i can't seem to pinpoint. Maybe using actual curry leaves made the sauce very potent. Going back to the taste it was quite good. The pork tonkatsu was tender and the omu rice was really good! I loved how fluffy the egg was and the rice was cooked perfectly they all blended well together in each bite! Overall the experience was great and would try it again sometime. I was overwhelmed by the serving it was a really big bowl and I had a real big tummy after. Lol! But then again i had the "umay" factor after due to the curry lingering in my tastebuds and i could still smell it. Haha.
