I was excited to find a Peruvian food here in Manila because I loved it. Alas the food here tho it's labeled as Peruvian doesn't have that taste. The Ceviche tastes like our own kinilaw with a strong vinegar taste instead of the citrusy acidity you find in authentic ceviches. The lomo lacked something. It tastes like it has been Filipinized. Sad.

Every time we see an unusual restaurant open, we make it a point to try it at least once. So when we chanced upon a Peruvian restaurant, we immediately tried it. In this case, we’ve eaten at this restaurant a few times already and decided to introduce it to the rest of Julio’s family.

Cocina Peruvia is one of my favorite restaurants, and I've greatly missed its cuisine since I left BGC a few months ago. I'm glad it's opening soon in nearby Ayala Malls Vertis North. TIPS:+MUST ORDER#1a and 1b: Adobo Peruvia (pork belly, creamy sauce, tomatoes, onions), very flavorful, salty and subtly improved by their own take on Adobo, which is use of cream sauce (how Peruvian Cuisine interprets its Adobo) 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟(alternatively, you can try the Adobo de Pollo ala Parilla, Chicken Adobo, Peruvian style, again with the same cream sauce plus there's a freaking fried rice ball smack in the center, yummmm don't order on your first visit, order the Adobo Peruvia, or order if you don't eat pork) 🌟🌟🌟🌟1/2+MUST ORDER#2: Cilantro Chicken Rice love the flavor on this one. Ordered it several times and never been disappointed. With chicken chunks actually noticeable. Love this carb based dish. 🌟🌟🌟🌟1/2+MUST ORDER#3: Pollo ala Brasa (roast chicken) excellent flavor 🌟🌟🌟🌟+MUST ORDER#4: Salmon Skin (affordable, beer match) when crunchy it's great. Love the flavor which can be overboard with saltiness sometimes. 🌟🌟🌟🌟+They have great alcoholic drinks promos and happy hour promos. +They're open 24/7 except on Sundays. Resto Name Ratings, at a Glance: > Food & Beverage: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (great quaii> Service (Dine-In) : 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (super attentive and professional) > Kitchen Service  : 🌟🌟🌟🌟1/2 (usually fast service for food cooking and quality, with the exception of the chicken kebab one time which I found dry) > Ambience            : 🌟🌟🌟🌟 (comfortable, nice decorations, relatively simple but quite likable) > Value for Money: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (great quality, it ain't the cheapest but I find it great value for money; it'll hit you around PhP 500 to PhP 1000 per head for sure but it'll be worth it) ___________> Worth a Try      : Yes (if you haven't yet, better head here soon) > Worth a return : Absolutely! To the tune of the 5x in a few months, oh it was only 2 blocks away then. > VERDICT          : 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Digging Peruvian cuisine! Very good service, fast kitchen service with great flavors
