This is the first time that we've tried Chef Lau's even if it's in the proximity of where we live. Their speed of service was okay, but since they refer to them as "fast food" it was the expectation. I ordered Angus Roast Beef; nothing remarkable about it. My boyfriend's mean, Sizzling Pork Liempo sisig, had a little bit more character.

Poor customer service. Only one counter was open so the line was long. The cashier was kinda bitchy. Place was untidy. And food was meh. Never trying this restaurant again.

Am i the only person who found their Roast Chicken weird? I mean, it's roasted well but... BUT! Why does it strongly taste of turmeric? Look at the color of the skin too. It's golden yellow with a tinge of orange... Well, if it does have turmeric in the marinade, they probably overdid it a bit. I settled for good ol' fashioned Sisig. 😑

Chef Lau's Pugon Roasters restaurant at McKinley Hill may not be as impressive as the Italian-designed place, Venice Piazza, but the food they offer was satisfying. We tried two of their bestsellers, Pugon Roast Chicken (Signature roasted 1/4 chicken served with rice) and the Crispy Sisig Siopao + Pancit Lucban. The roasted chicken has an unfamiliar taste probably due to the herbs and spices used in its marinade which may not appeal to everyone. The deep-fried crispy Sisig Siopao was alright but needs more filling. The Pancit Lucban was also okay. Price is very affordable and service staff, particularly Mara, rendered a very effective customer service. The place, though, could be better with an upgrade to enhance the image of Celebrity Chef Lau and to keep up with the ambiance of the classy mall.

Title: Ako ang nagaya. Ako ang nadismaya!Date: 5/26/2016 around 7:00PM - 7:30PMInaya kong kumain ang ka-officemate ko na kumain sa Pugon Venice. Ako yung huling nagorader at chicken sisig ang pinili ko. Serve hot and smoky. Alive and kicking! All in all. Dismayado dahil sa chicken sisig with maggot inside the chili. Note: I wrote this not because I want to have a payback but to warning and notice to Chef Lau's management to check, secure and sanitize carefully their food. I am fan of their Chicken Pugon but I am not tolerating this incident because food is life for me.

With their interesting menu; we have a reason to come back and try them again. the Chef Lau’s Pugon Roasters Sinampalukang Chicken Sopas is a staple on my orders because I enjoyed it a lot. Although I noticed less ingredients in their soup as compared to their branch at Makati. Chef Lau Pugon Roasters Cheesy Chicken CroquetasI'm glad they used chicken instead of potatoes as it became more delicious. You may opt to use their dip to have a balance of tastes (dip is a bit sour). Chef Lau Pugon Roasters Sizzling Chicken SisigIt isn't your usual chicken sisig because it was bursting with flavors! To be honest, I felt that this was similar to adobo than to sisig.Updated with more pics :D

There were two things about Chef Lau's Pugon Roasters that caught my attention. First was the very Pinoy menu; affordability came second. With the exception of McDonald's and KFC, cheap chicken is hard to come by at McKinley Hill so it's just natural for a Scrooge like myself to get excited over low-priced alternatives. Try their Pugon roast chicken for only 99php. This is the best roasted chicken I've ever had under 100php.

We came here for the cheesy chicken croquetas but it was not available at that time. So I ended up eating sizzling angus beef sisig. That was awesome! The taste was memorable. The meat was so tasteful that I really made all of my colleagues at the table taste it. I love coming back to Chef Lau's. They also have good service.

I give this my first ever 5. I always eat here for lunch, since they have the CHEAPEST and BIGGEST serving of chicken I've ever had. Can you imagine, a WHOLE roasted chicken breast with rice for only 99 pesos?? Sign me uuuppp!!!! I even went home, weighed the chicken myself and it comes out at 115g of pure chicken meat compared to lets say, Mcdonald's 2 pc chicken which came out at 71g of pure meat only! Their rice serving is more than one cup as it was roughly around 180g as well. My piece of advise is if you want to get the healthy version of their meal, advise the cashier to not add the chicken oil. The oil doesn't affect the flavor THAT much. Yes, I'm your healthy hippy gym goer who tracks their macro nutrients and calories.

Whenever we eat here, we always smell like smoke after. This branch is smelly, congested, noisy, and dirty. On top of that, the staff aren't trained well. Service is slow. As for the food, some dishes are great and creative. The cakes are delicious. The price is cheaper compared to other restaurants at Venice Piazza.
