When you speak of Latin America, few things that come to mind are their passion for FOOTBALL, MUSIC, the ARTS, and of course, their FOOD. We can spend lifetimes patronizing the Latin culture, but their food what sets them apart as well. Enter...BRASAS.I've had the fortunate experience to dine in Brasas even during their days when they had a stall in Mercato Centrale. Amongst the many website stalls, they stood out with their booth presentation, the patented bull design, and the presence of their Latin owner. Prices were cheaper though compared to what we have now. Fast forward to present day and they have several branches spanning from SM North, SM Jazz, Las Piñas, the Podium and SM Aura Premier. What we have in Aura would be a visually catchy Brasas stall at their Food on Four Foodcourt. Today's Order:1) Carne Asada Wrap - it's what Latin food is known for, wraps, burritos, whatever you call it. But, compared to it's sister counterpart, the burrito, this South American dish contains flavorful meat, sautéed onions, a range of peppers and partnered with their signature garlic sauce (no lettuce or rice). Definitely this dish has all the meat to satisfy your craving, but price wise, paying P290 is a bit too much for me. For a tortilla wrap around 8inches in diameter, made to this type of serving, despite the ingredients, I peg it at around less than P200. And I say this on the basis that it's competition can offer Burritos bigger in serving at a cheaper price. The Luis Suarez Head Bite (-):Though I understand they serve authentic Latin Street Food spanning some famous South American cuisines such as from Uruguay, Peru, Colombia & Chile, they could expand their menu more. I see their stalls and I see just one or two dishes representing certain locations, it's just not enough. Street Food is common across these great nations, don't limit it to just what you have. If you will tag your restaurant to have "Latin American Street Food", give us more! You know you're a unique restaurant amongst the many Mexican-themed restaurants out there, give us the Latin experience. The Sofia Vergara-Lionel Messi Combo (+):It was good to see something unconventional with them, they didn't request for Tips, rather some extra cash for their "Employees' Retirement Fund." It's heartwarming to see that, you know they value their staff. And with the open kitchen set-up they have, their transparency keeps you curious.I admire their intention of bringing these flavors to our shores, and making it more accessible to the common Filipino. This is definitely a unique website experience versus your usuals if you're at the Food on Four Foodcourt. Cheers.

Tasty and deliciously flavorful chicken and steaks. The taste of their meats is quite unique. Wraps can fill an average person, but hungry folks should go for the rice platters since their rice servings are generous. A bit pricey (especially the sides) but you will like the food, so not too bad in terms of value for money. Items listed in the menu are Pequeño-sized (smaller, optimized-for-foodcourt servings); ask about their regular sizes if ordering for a group or if you're just hungry - My personal favorites: Carne Asada Platter/Wrap, Polo Asado Platter/Wrap

The name sounds enticing enough for one to try it, and when one does, it is disappointing. It doesn't taste bad, it's just good, not great especially for the price. There's nothing special about an overpriced iced tea or the meals which seem to try so hard to give one that Latin American experience. Failed for me.

I had a Pollo Saltado (chicken stir fry) which was quite tasty and has some smoky flavor to it. Loved the food for the flavor and they are quite reasonably priced too.

We had it tried with my college friend since this interest us when we looked for a place to eat for dinner. It is located at SM Aura's food court. We ordered the following: 1. Carne Asada Platter (270) - It is served with java rice with a side of veggies. The taste of beef tapa is just normal. 2. Pollo Asado Platter (230) - The taste of chicken is distince which is full of flavors and spices. It is also served with java rice and veggies. The sauce tastes like mediterranean food. There is an option to add a side dish with a cup of drink which costs an additional 70 pesos. We chose nachos and potato salad. The tase of nachos is good but the potato salad is quite blande. The should've added a little bit of salt to the potato or sour cream. Overall, the price for the quantity is reasonable and the taste is above average.

Me and the boyfie ordered our lunch for today here at brasas's branch at global city. I find this resto cool since it's latin american dishes and the boyfie's taste suits this. Also i saw this on tv featured at "poptalk" (owned by actor carlo agassi), we ordered pork for me and chicken for boyfie. Mine, was delicious 2pcs of porkchops and the veggies were good as well. Unfortunately, the pork i had is hard like a rock but the other one is as soft and tender. I did enjoy but not much since i can't eat the other piece of pork ???? The boyfie had chicken spices were good and very tasty (though abit spicy). All in all, brasas scored almost perfect. Still needs improvement with it's pork and more dishes in the menu please! ????

Feb 25 2015Always was intrigue on what this Resto tasted like. Was not disappointed. Price is on the high side for the type of food. But I guess that rent is high at Aura. I got the carne asado. The flavor of the meet was good. But the salad chips and rice was on the disappointing side. But then again I rather have the main dish good then the side dish. So overall I was happy. Flavor was rustic. It's worth a try for those who would like to try a different flavor or there beef. I would rate it a 7/10. The food tasted good on the item that was important. The beef.

we had lunch at sm aura and decided to check out the food court since they told us that they have different selections. i picked brases because it was quite different, the latin american food interests me, since mexican food is almost the same i tried it, unfortunately when i took a bite of the banana chips twas bland, the meat was unseasoned and undercook, its like chewing on a gum, i was able to finish it due to hunger but did satisfied my apetite. just sad coz ive seen the ratings and it didnt meet my standards
