I’m a fan of Bonchon and can dine in several times a month. I appreciate that their menu is constantly evolving when it comes to meal sets because it is slowly becoming more solo diner friendly. However, the menu expansion is not very much to their advantage. Their new products are normally quite confusing. The Market Market branch is a popular place for lunch and dinners so beat the crowd be going there off peak. So so servers though.

BonChon in Market Market is somehow isolated from other fast food chains and restaurants in the mall but it still gets pretty crowded on rush hours. Getting the attention of the staff to clean up the table is usually easy. Our orders are served after a reasonable number of minutes.Their chicken's skin is indeed Korean style flavored but the meat is almost tasteless. Their Chocolate Bingsu did not disappoint. It contains choco crumbs, some peanuts, bits of brownies, chocolate syrup, and vanilla ice cream. At first we were bummed out that the chocolate crumbs are just on the top layer and it's all shaved ice with milk at the middle to the bottom. But after mixing all of them, it is still generously chocolately flavored. Tastier than another fancy bingsu joint's with mostly shaved ice that are more expensive.

The branch here in Market! Market! is no different from their other branches because it is also very very crowded even if it is located far from other fastfood chains. BonChon caters Korean glazed chickens which is really delicious on the outside. The inside is another story because it is bland but fortunately the ketchup (or catsup or whatever the spelling) they serve compliments the blandness of the chicken meat. But infairness, BonChon serves big parts and I've never experience them serving me/us small parts.BonChon also offers lots of side dishes, my favorite is their Chapchae (Japchae) which for me is very good, perfect paired with their chicken. Their bingsu is also a stand-out, the serving is big while the shaved ice portion is bigger than expected, I still find this one a winner if you will be comparing it's price to other Korean specialty joints like Hobbing, BonChon's is a lot cheaper. Hobbing's cheapest comes with a 220 pesos price tag while BonChon's binsgu is just 99 pesos. They also offer chicken sandwiches and I suggest you try their Double Loaded Chicken Sandwich. The meal includes a glass of Ice Tea and their K-Fries which is also a surprise hit.

[3.5]I always get lucky when I‘m in the mood to eat at this branch, there’s always minimal number of people and lots of seats available. I actually like its interiors, which was strategically placed to have a few flights of stairs that makes it look less plain. I have always liked their chicken, it was a refreshing approach to the usual fried chicken we have all grown to love. This time, I tried to go for something a little different. I ordered the bibimbap which was spicy for me btw. I particularly asked if I could have it not spicy but I think that was the best they can do. What is not spicy bibimbap anyway? The taste was good enough and the serving as well. My order came after 15 mins which was quite long considering the few customers.
