I never write reviews on website, but this one I couldn’t just slip through. I always pass by this restaurant in Venice but I never really gave much thought to it. However....This time they had a HUGE sign in front saying they have “lunch specials” with inviting low rates. I decided why not? and gave it a go.....I sat inside and when I asked the waitress about the lunch special, she said it’s not available. Confused, I asked her: “Why is there a huge sign at the front about lunch specials then if it isnt available?” She gave me this dirtiest look and in a really rude tone she said “its just not available sir”......so okay, I didn’t want to go on a full on debate about false advertising so I decided to order the food on their regular menu instead.....There were only 2 tables occupied at the time I was here but it took my order over 30 minutes to arrive. Talk about slow service. Then the food came.....and it was meh. The corn and carrots were extremely salty, and the mashed potato was definitely not worth the additional 60 pesos since it was extremely tiny and seemed like it was made from one of those “instant mashed potato” packets. The ribs were okay. Nothing special. Definitely not worth 400 pesos, that I’m sure of.Then I wanted to bill out....but it was extremely hard to catch the waiter’s attention because they kept chatting at the back together with the kitchen crew at the service window...so I paid my bill, and to top it all off, they gave me a 5 pesos change that consisted of 25 centavo coins. Ugh.TL;DR - False advertising, rude waitress, long waiting time, plain food, and horrible service. Would not recommend.

I love their fish & chips...lightly battered and yet so crispy! Even the open-faced sandwich is sooo good.i will definitely comeback to try other food listed on the menu☺️😍😊

We ordered the soft boned ribs platter, hush puppies and the mac & cheese. The meat is tender but the taste is blah. I would still prefer baby back ribs with the ribs. Even the sauce all over it taste depressing. Hush puppies is like cheese tots or balls and all I tasted is saltiness and the dipping sauce is so powerful. Doesn't complement. The The cheese sauce on the mac & cheese is definitely artificially flavored. Not made from real cheese, not from scratch. You won't feel the bacon bits at all. The service is fine. I have no complaints on that.Overall, waste of money. For the price, it is not worth it.

There is no surprise with the food doesn't taste as good as expected.... the corns and carrot taste bad. Weird on mush potatoes. Too much fat with the robs.

It has been such a long time since I held back on my craving for some good tasting ribs. I was initially planning to go to that place in Katipunan or Kapitolyo but thought to myself to give Big Ds a try due to it's proximity. The place had a rustic cowboy grill vibe from the furniture and the wait staff wardrobe. There weren't a lot of customers on an early Friday dinner slot but that didn’t stop me from trying out their items. I ordered the appetizer called Hush puppies. It's a mixture of cheeses such as mozarella, cheddar and parmesan with some peppers. A burst of flavor can be expected when you bit into the a piece. The mushy interior makes it perfect comfort food and I had to stop myself from eating too much as I still had to eat my main dish. My only worry about it is the breading element gets overpowering after a few pieces. The prep time for the Solo Ribs was only a few times and was surprised with how fast it was served once they served the Hush puppies. The main dish came with a portion of rice and carrots/ corn. The presentation was also a social media ready since there was a toothpick label of the restaurant. The ribs in my opinion was at a right amount, even without the appetizer one can feel full. I was savoring every piece of the ribs solo platter since I missed that signature BBQ sauce. It was a missed opportunity for me as well since you can choose to have the spicy variant for the ribs and I will try that on my next visit.Big Ds though visited with no prior planning, is a decision with no regrets due to their good food and my craving satisfied.

As we were looking for somewhere to eat for lunch, my brother saw this place. There was one last available table for 4 persons so I guess it was meant that we eat there. We were told that they ran out of the soft bone ribs (the cheaper one) so we ordered the baby back ribs. We also got an order of pulled pork nachos and corn chowder. I just had a sip of the soup but it tasted really good. I'm not a fan of chowders since it tends to be heavy but I liked this one. The baby back ribs were good - meat was really tender. We ordered the smaller size nachos but when it was served, we were surprised that the serving was big. We asked first if it was really the smaller size then the server realized it wasn't so he returned it back to the kitchen. They used wonton chips for the nachos and I'm not sure if it was a good or bad thing. It was already soggy by the time it got back but the pulled pork made up for the taste.

I tried Carbonara and Smothered Porkchop. The serving for Carbonara is small though it's just P120.00. It's creamy but became sticky since it's served on a pan commonly used for sizzling. I like the Smothered Porkchop. It was flavorful. Loving the gravy on it. The meat was not that soft but can be chewed/sliced easily. I must also note that I'm glad they serve fried/garlic rice. Price is affordable. Place is big. It feels cozy inside. Service is good though most of the time, the staff were inside. Will definitely come back here.

Staff could be friendlier. Ate here before but first time to try their Meatloaf. The dish was 💯. Their Pulled Pork Burrito is on the spicy side so avoid it if you can't handle heat. As always, you cannot go wrong with their Soft Bone Ribs.
