My first visit to Mile-Hi Diner didn't exactly leave me feeling elated. My cohorts and I came here for a late dinner a few months back. We started with the seafood platter, which had its highs and lows. The fish fingers and fries were OK. The calamares and shrimp? Not so much.My order of steak and pasta left much to be desired. The thick piece of steak that I got, which I asked for medium rare, was hard to slice through. The al dente pasta lacked cream sauce and had bell peppers, which I didn't particularly care for. On the other hand, the pork chops and American spare ribs were tender and well-seasoned.Not going to completely cross this off though. Maybe I just pulled the short straw that night, since my companions' food were pretty tasty. Hopefully I have a better second visit.

I am a huge fan of diners. They remind me of my childhood (not that I'm THAT old but I did grow up around lots of diners).Plus, some of my best dates were at diners.I digress from my point. Sorry.Anyway, the ambiance here is nice. I love the old school posters and decor. It's a nice break from the monotony of all that's modern. We ordered a value meal, premium local porterhouse steaks, Caesar salad and mushroom soup.Everything was served promptly and in order (appetizers arrived before the main dishes- something that many places fail to do).The waiters were friendly and accommodating. It's a bit pricey. The food wasn't exactly bursting with flavor but this is one of those spots you go to for the ambiance, anyway.

Strategic location. Nice twist of the usual breakfast. We liked the ambience as well & most of all, this place is very memorable for us since this is where we first ate out as a couple of my first and current boyfriend :)

Love the fish n chips, the burger was also good, haven't tried everything yet. The ambiance, the cold air plus the night sky. Perfect! I love tagaytay!

I love the place. I like the choices in their menu there are many. Most of all the place has a nice view of Taal volcano and Taal lake. Their milk shakes are awesome combined with the cold Tagaytay breeze.
