The gf and I spent our anniversary getaway this week in cozy Tagaytay, and we were looking for a new place to dig in before we head back to Manila. Fortunately, we found Lime and Basil here in website! Tip: use Waze when going here as the roads leading to it will get confusing (there was a closure on one of the main roads leading to the resto when we visited) and it is not along the main Tagaytay-Calamba RoadFood: (4.5/5) We enjoyed all our orders but most especially the Bagoong Rice, Tom Yum and the Catfish Salad. Legit Thai food and will give any Thai resto here in the country a serious run for their money. Portions were very big, good for two to three people to share, but flavorful enough that one very hungry person could finish! I liked the iced Thai coffee I ordered also, and such a shame, that we were so full by the end of the main courses that we weren’t able to order dessertPlace: (5/5, if pwede 6/5 pa!) Lime and Basil is what every resto in Tagaytay should look and feel like. Peaceful, clean, surrounded by nature. You’ll forget all the hustles and bustles of life when you dine here, as you’ll get inspired by the serenity around you. The only small downside is the lack of parking space, though there’s a person who will assist and lead you to where you can park outside the resto.Service: (5/5) As previously stated, there’s someone who will help you from the moment you park your car. Servers were also gracious enough to find us a table even if we we didn’t have a reservation, and service was very very quick. Waiting time for food was faster than what we expected for a place so full.Value for Money: (5/5) The price more than justifies the quality and the amount of food served to you. As said before, all orders were good for sharing and they even have complimentary fish crackers with a yummy fish sauce-calamansi dip.I highly recommend everyone to try and dine at Lime and Basil when they go to Tagaytay. It’s well worth the drive!

Friendly people. Food is amazing! Crispy pork is out of this world crazy delicious. Never had one anywhere as good as theirs. Skin is CRUNCHY and meat melts in your mouth. All their food is great, it's just that porky morsel is top-notch. Will be back real soon. Must eat here when in Tagaytay.

I’m torn between rating them a 4 or a 5 because we requested for a reservation to an outdoor table since we are quite uncomfortable dining out in these times and they confirmed via FB messenger. When we arrived we were being led to an indoor table instead.. I reminded them of my request and they were quick to want to accommodate us but we decided to just get the table near the door which was still semi-outdoors because they would have to shuffle some reservations around to accommodate us. Just a tiny bit disappointed that they forgot our request but still giving them a perfect rating because the food was superb and service was great.

Honestly, the food was great! Their dishes have lots of flavors, just like authentic thai food should taste. The food was big in portion. Staffs were attentive and very helpful. The ambiance is relaxing as well. Lime and Basil Thai Restaurant is truly a hidden gem. You guys should try it!

First time trying this place with the fam & so glad we did! We celebrated new year's here because we've been hearing reviews about this place. A bit disappointed that some of the dishes we wanted to order such as the salted egg fried chicken was not available. However, we were super satisfied with the food and service. Everything we ordered tasted divine! Definitely one of my fave thai food places - even tops those in the metro.A run down of what we ordered - we deliberately decided to order everything that is marked as their specialty!(Rating out of 5 stars)Pomelo Salad - ⭐⭐⭐Generous with pomelo! Really love the dressing! But would like it more if there were more chicken or greens. A change in texture perhaps aside from the pomelo.Fresh Springrolls - ⭐⭐⭐⭐We weren't a fan of fresh springrolls in general, but we ordered this because the fried ones were unavailable. However, it did not disappoint. Once again, this restaurant's flavor is on point! The sauce is sweet, sour, spicy, very umami.Tom Yum Goong - ⭐⭐⭐⭐I love this soup! And this place gets the right amount of sourness and spiciness. It makes you want to eat more!Pad Thai - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This is a winner for me! Definitely one of the best pad thai's I've tried. I love the idea of the crunchy egg on top because once mixed in with the noodles, it gives a great texture. Once again, the sauce and noodles combination is just right!Chicken with Cashews - ⭐⭐⭐This is what we ordered in place of the salted egg fried chicken. It's good, but it was okay. Nothing special for me. Can skip!Crispy Tilapia with Tamarind Sauce - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐UGH! DIVINE! YOU CAN'T LEAVE THIS PLACE WITHOUT TRYING THIS. I am more of a meat person, but all of us agreed that this fish dish is one of the main highlights of our dinner. The tamarind sauce really complements the fried fish with its right amount of sweetness and sourness.Crispy Pork with Red Curry Sauce - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Another stellar dish! The pork is tender and melts in your mouth, but the red curry sauce is simply delicious! One minor comment on the dish would be, to be more generous on the red curry sauce! We wanted to have more of it and place it in our rice. It was not too spicy, mild, but very delicious! I can taste the coconut milk in the sauce and I just wanted more of it.Pineapple Fried Rice - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Another winner! This place, I can confidently say, perfected the recipe of their pineapple fried rice. We ordered this because it was a house specialty, even when we were already a bit familiar with pineapple fried rice in Chinese cuisines. However, I love that this place added curry flavoring in their pineapple rice. Just that tiny modification changed everything! Because now, the pineapple's sweetness was not too hard or too overwhelming, but balances the aromatic curry in the rice.Mango Sticky Rice - ⭐⭐⭐For dessert, we ordered mango sticky rice to end the meal. This dish was one of our favorites, but after tasting all the phenomenal entrées, I guess this one tasted okay - not so unique & can get some place else. Overall experience was amazing! We requested indoor seating because it was too cold outside. We're lucky to be able to do advance reservations on the day itself because towards the evening, guests were already lining up. So better secure your reservations first before dining here!

Surprisingly what stands out the most for us was their Kao Pad Sarapod(rice on a pineapple)! I love everything we ordered but this rice had our eyes locked as well as our tastebuds! We would definitely go back to this place to check out other menus.

Great food! Family and I enjoyed it. Pad thai was the highlight, as well as the tom yum soup. Great service, food delivered right away! Even the free kropek with tamarind honey sauce was awesome.

Been here for quite a few times already and it's always a great experience! Just be sure to make a reservation because sometimes, they're really fully-booked! I love the food and the service and will surely be back here soon!

The lime and basil salad is a must try. Huge serving. The staffs were attentive and give us a nice table to spend our wedding anniversary celebration. Safe to dine because it's al fresco.

Good place, good food. Location was not hard to find. Huge parking at the back. Alfresco dining is available. Pet friendly. Prices were mostly between 300-400 per serving but the serving size was good enough for 2-3 people. Too bad they don’t serve the famous Thai Omelet/Omelette. We loved the fresh spring rolls and chicken wrapped in pandan.
