Before going to Java Jazz, I checked the reviews of my fellow website Foodies. Ratings were ranging from 4.0 to 5.0. For me, that was an absolute indicator that I should include this cafe in my Tagaytay trip. But, I got extremely disappointed. Being coffee freaks, me and my partner are both critical and particular with our coffee. We asked the staff several questions as to the specifics of the their "Best seller" (Tagaytay Blend). The crew cannot answer our inquiries so he called the female employee (I believe, she's the manager). To my surprise, she cannot provide answers as well. She guaranteed that the Tagaytay Blend is a must-try. Well, it was close to zero in "wow factor" which was depressing. By the way, it's P90+ for a cup and they added sweetener to it already before they served it. (This is a no-no for me).Let's go with the food then. It was 6 PM so, we were not looking for something heavy. The male crew suggested the regular pancakes. We ordered that and got disappointed again. Not only was it VERY oily, it took them around 10-12 minutes to serve 4 tiny pancakes yet then there are undercooked portion (the middle). Talking about Salmonellosis. I stopped when I saw the gooey part.The Cookie. This deserves a star. It was good but they informed us that it was supplied by a different store so, no cookie points for Java Jazz. The "Jazz" in Java Jazz. Oh no. I was expecting I'll be listening to American-Latin-Japanese-Portuguese Jazz but it was all "jazz" covers of American and OPM Hits. They played One Note Samba though (but it was Sitti's version - love her, anyway). Finally, we bought a pack of their tablea. The lady manager convinced us and taught us how they prepare it. Well, it was only P120.00 so we availed one. By nighttime, back in our place, we melted the tablea and made ourselves hot chocolate drink (ala e) - It was fair for its price. Maybe, we expected too much from Java Jazz but other people seem to like this cafe. Give it a try and see for youself. I'm giving Java Jazz 1.0/5.0 for the Tablea and Tiny Table experience. Suggestions (for Java Jazz):1. Improve Coffee Quality - Sort different beans2. Less oil on pancakes + cook well - please3. Add classic Jazz music to your playlist

The best tsokolate eh and tsokolate ah!!! 😍😍😍 the pandesal special is also promising hehe.I had daing na biya and boyfie had beef tapasilog. Nothing special on the food but their hot drinks are the "must-try" plus the ambience is very homie and comfortable. We're also entertained by their multiple paintings on the walls. 😍The exterior of the store is simple and rustic, if not for the reviews I've read from the blogs and here in website, we wouldn't dare to enter their café hehe.Also, the staff are all welcoming. We will definitely come back because I want to try the java special for two set meal. ❤🙌❤

Perfect on a cold weather. Their coffee is a must try. They are known for that. All food on the menu are affordable even their pasta. It looks simple outside but when you go inside, the place is very cozy. The staff are also friendly and acommodating. You must visit this when you happen to pass Tagaytay. I live near this place and they have been serving for more than 4 years already.
