I'd love to give Concha's a 4 (or a 3.5 but website doesn't allow us to rate by half now), I really do. However when we got here, there were plenty of people and we were waiting outside. I chose to stand in the area where there is a shade because the weather was very hot. Then suddenly a group of waiters who were moving chairs and setting up tables hit me with a table's foot, not just once but twice and I didn't here any apologies from them. Yes I may have blocked them but they could have excused themselves. I was hit the second time even though I went to an area where they couldn't reach me but I was again, hit in the lower leg. Let's say it was my fault, but a little sorry would be nice.So after the long wait, we were finally seated inside. It was hot and I hope they turned on the fan in the ceiling. We ordered chicken barbecue and chicken inasal. When they were served, I was very surprised that they look alike! The ones with corn and carrots are the chicken barbecue and the ones with atchara are the chicken inasal. I prefer the inasal more but the chicken barbecue is good too.The place inside is smaller and there are more seats outside. Ambience is better outside too but it was so hot so we chose to sit inside. Alden's standee was moved to the pasalubong store outside (aside from his main standee at the entrance). Before, it was inside and I bet his fans would love one standee inside too. I suggest they put it back. Hehe. Staff are friendly when we made our order, billed out, and bought sylvannas for take out.

Celebrated my birthday here. Had dinner with my fam – 3 senior citizens, 4 adults and 1 kid. It was a Wednesday night so it was not crowded.✨ Seafood Sinigang - This is our favorite among the five dishes that we ordered. The sour flavor is just right and it doesn't taste 'malansa'. The fam really likes it.✨ Bistek Tagalog & Pork Sisig - I am a bistek and sisig lover so I had to order their version of it. I like the Bistek Tagalog. The serving was not worth it for the price though. Did not expect na maliit sya. The Sisig was okay for me. Not bad at all.✨ Pancit - We just ordered half because not all of us wants it. I was surprised with the toppings. Not all restaurants are generous on pancit. Haha.✨ Kare-Kare - My family liked this as well but for me it is bland. It has a lot of veggies and pork in it but still lacks tastes for me. They have bagoong though and it somehow fix it.I read the reviews here in website first before I chose this restaurant. Our experience is not that bad. The staff are accomodating. We went there past 7pm and stayed for more than an hour. The serving time is 15-20minutes. I also got to ask the waiter. He said that it is really crowded during weekends and they have long waiting list sometimes.Cliffhouse has a parking fee but if you dine on their restaurants it will be free. Just don't forget your receipts and present it upon exit.

Saw here in website that they close at 10pm. My hubby and I just wanted some desserts since we traveled from Parañaque to Tagaytay just to chill and enjoy the night. I wanted to try Concha’s and we arrived a little before 9pm so I was really excited to dine in. There were a small group still eating inside and there were not too many people dining in, we went in but was ushered out because we were told that they will be closing already. I saw a lady who looks like she’s balancing the cash register occupying a table, she looks like the manager but she didn’t even look at us while her staff sends us away. Super disappointed. We ended up dining at Cafe Breton instead, which was a way better option anyway. Staff was super rude in the way they rejected us. Not gonna go back.

I would give it a 4 because the dishes were so good but the service was too slow. They should have anticipated people coming since it was a holiday when we dined here. Good thing the cliffhouse has the view of the Taal lake while you wait for your food to be served.

The baby squid in olive oil is quite tasty and consistent. It had the right amount of garlic and wasn't too salty. The pork belly strips were okay but not very hot and crispy. The leche flan was good. The servers were very nice, accommodating and efficient and had our table ready quickly. Would come back here again.

The staffs are very polite and we adore their manager. We just had merienda in this place but we'll come back prolly next month to have lunch / dinner. The waiting time is long because of the large number of customers but the cliffhouse's waiting area is comfortable with a spectacular view of taal.

Conchas Garden Salad with Honey Mustard is our first pick. It is a good way to start your meal. Then the Baked Tahong, I am not fond of eating seashells food but this dish is no excuse. It is well cooked and its cheesy taste will make you crave for more but watch out for the calories. Last is the Seafood Sinigang, who can go wrong eating this sour soup that is Native to Philippines. You will enjoy the shrimp, pink salmon and lot of vegetable in it. More rice please!Food price is somehow pricey comparing with other restaurants who also serve Filipino Dish. But the Food Taste impression is good, very distinct flavor, special mention to their baked Tahong. Also good food presentation.Check out my full blog.
